First Time Buyer - Anwyl were great!

I recently bought an Anwyl home in Ellesmere Port at the new Rossbank at the Oaks site. From the first engagement, all of the staff provided really detailed information and a warm welcome to me as a customer buying my first home. I dealt with Angela to begin with who was great in helping me secure my plot and choices, and then worked with Carol who guided me through the stages up until completion excellently. Both were super helpful and quick to respond to numerous queries I had as a first time buyer. I also engaged with Ian, Jacob and a couple of the builders who again were extremely engaging, helpful and polite during this process.Since moving in, my 4 week snag review was right on time and more impressively dealt with in an extremely swift manner. The site is ongoing so we continue to have interactions and despite weather challenges, the team are communicating with me and letting me know what they are upto. Dealing with Anwyl has been a breeze. I had heard about their reputation for service and housing quality before my purchase but can now verify that positively and would recommend them to any body looking to buy a new build home.

Everyone has been polite, supportive and professional

I have been in my new Anwyl home for a few months now and wish to write a review on my experience. Right from the outset I have found everyone I have dealt with to be polite, informative and helpful. When going through the sales process Sam followed by Hayley were with me every step of the way. Then once I had moved into my beautiful new home I have found the staff on site great. Ian the site manager and Peter have dealt with the few issues I had professionally keeping me informed of any progress, they have been very supportive, with nothing being too much trouble. In additionall the workmen on site have been really polite completing any work without mess or fuss. Thanks to all at Lawrence Gardens development.

Recently moved into our gorgeous home on the Tynddyn Bach site in Holyhead, courtesy of Anwyl Homes. Our move in date was the 22nd of December so as you can imagine Christmas was rather chaotic but was a lovely present to us. Our experience from reservation to completion was very professionally delivered and we were kept up to date throughout the build. I would like to thank Elizabeth for her patience with us and our never ending questions and requests to visit the build.My daughter & her boyfriend have also purchased their first home on the same estate with a completion date of April, again Elizabeth has been fantastic with them.I would also like to thank Jayne who played a huge roll ensuring our completion date was completed on time. At present we have not required any assistance from Anwyl’s after care service, if we do I hope we receive the same care we have received from their site sales representative.

Bitter/sweet @ Ellesmere port

Bitter/sweet. Perfection doesn't exist.I purchased my house at 'The oaks at rossbank' (Ellesmere port) anwyl homes in November 2021. Overall happy with the experience. The sales team Linda and Carol were very helpful in the beginning, I was in an unorthodox position with my previous home and they were very accommodating and in the end made my dream possible. Although this is not a direct reflection on anwyl, overall the house purchase felt rushed/unorganised and due to lack of communication between solicitors, I felt compounding pressure from all parties, something of which was a great source of stress. Overall the property is built to a good standard. The design of the interior is fantastic 10/10. There was however a few noticeable things straight away that were a quite disappointing...to a degree this showed a lack of attentiveness. I forgot the exact words but the sales team prior to moving they gave me slightly false sense of assurance that the house was checked over and in optimal condition - in essence it's just sales talk to passify you, please forgive my scepticism, you've just got to take things with a pinch of salt. After what felt like an increasing amount of issues, I got a snag survey conducted which showed around 60 issues, mostly minor issues but top marks to the onsite team...they have been quick to rectify issues. Many thanks to Jacob the onsite manager. One big issue for me is the parking.... The property comes with a shared drive and unfortunately I have a inconsiderate neighbour that blocks access out of my allocated parking very frustrating and little I can do. I think it's partially down to the way the driveway is designed, encouraging the neighbor to park in such a way, which was a massive oversight on my behalf. Anwyl have been quite quiet on this matter, something which I understand. Upon reflection I would have purchased a property that was on a main highway road less, less complication.Lovely home but you can't choose your neighbors. Hope this helps anyone considering an anwyl home.Bitter/sweet

The Oaks Ellesmere Port Cheshire.I recently purchased a new home from Anwyl Homes situated on their new development in Ellesmere Port.I found the process of choosing the property was made very easy with the help from Carol and Linda in the sales department.The site manager, Ian Palmer was around to show what was included in the house and how everything worked.The Anwyl homes team that I met were there to advise and help in any way they could to make my purchase right from stage one very easy.I was met, prior to getting the keys,with Ian and Carol to check every thing was O.K. for me to take possession.I found the property immaculate after Ian had organised his final check of everything.The complete finish was excellent and I am a very happy purchaser of my new house.I would genuinely recommend anyone looking for a new house to search where Anwyl homes are building and buy one. When we moved in to our new home we were made up with everything, but I did come across a big issue with some of the brickworks and to be honest I had a big concern over this. I also had a few sleepless nights but Peter Giddins came around to assess it and assured me that everything would be put right. Also Jay and Neil kept me up to date about the procedures and how the brickwork was going to be rectified and to their word all the brickworks have been rectified now. All the work men on site have been more than helpful with us, so once again I would like to thank Peter Giddins, the Foremen and all the workers for all their support since moving in. Top Marks

Buy Anwyl, you will be delighted with your home

Purchased my first Anwyl home at Lea Green and would definitely recommend this builder. The process from start to finish has been extremely professional from Jane and Kelly. Thank you ladies for being so patient and accommodating. 😃After moving in we had been advised by Jay the site manager to start our snag list. The team on site have also been the best, from Jay getting the ball rolling to all the workman. One gentlemen stood out called Connor who gave us confidence that all the snagging would be sorted, he was so confident in the Anwyl team that it made us feel so much better. Connor was right and as soon as Jay got the list the jobs started to get sorted. Neil soon took over the list to ensure all the jobs got done when they said it would. I can’t praise the whole team enough and would recommend to anyone to buy an Anwyl home. Connor, Jay, Neil, Peter and all the workman thank you as we now live in a beautiful well built quality house, my dream home. 👏

Such was his precautions that very little was made. What mess he did make was cleared up before he left and the faulty door removed. I’d give no stars if I could

Nothing is built to plan, site manager Jay trying to sign us off when there are still out standing snags on the property. There is a bit of land to the rear of our property and we asked and asked and asked what was going their and Anwyl told us it’s a small developer who owns the land and there was three town houses going to be built on the land, after moving in we received a letter from the council to inform us that it’s actually a multi story building which is going to be a supported living for people with drug and alcohol addictions and behavioural problems right behind my property which will definitely decrease the value of my house and is a security risk. We also found out Anwyl owned the land and sold it to the developers and knew exactly what was going to be built, but of course never told us and also ignored our emails and denies any accountability. It’s took them over 6 months to fix our heating system, which is still not entirely fixed, subcontractors have no idea what they’re doing when they arrive and say Anwyl pay them buttons so there not actually bothered. When we first moved in the built in washing machine wasn’t even able to be plugged in and had no water supply so we had to wait for someone to come out and fix the problem I honestly could go on. The front of the house had a small garden patch dividing the path to mine and next doors that doesn’t even exist. Fence in the back garden is a shambles it’s all split huge cracks in it we had panels missing in the corner was probs a Friday and the joiner fancied an early dart What ever you do DO NOT buy a house from Anwyl Where trying our best to seek legal action because things are becoming an absolute joke, once you’ve bought the property Anwyl are non existent.

Phil Dolan the Managing Director NW is…

Phil Dolan the Managing Director NW is a superguy along with his team at Alexandra Gardens, Crewe including Carl the Site Manager and his Assistant John who I found hugely accomodating and they do have a very difficult job with over 60 separate Contractors to deal with daily re quality and delivery of service. The Sales Office Staff of Jason, Alex and Jan were absolutely great in dealing with any issues I had and their boss, Tom was as nice a person as you will ever meet. As an Engineer myself I really got to understand just how difficult it is to deliver a new home to us on time with all the problems of Covid, supplies of materials, awkward customers and contractors needing a close eye on them, not to mention the high quality and safety demands of the trade bodies like the NHBC and the LA audits to ensure compliance in all things. We are delighted in moving into our new Pulford home and it really feels like home too. Thank you to all at Anwyl. I just have one gripe, sorry but I would hope they would allow carpet fitters in at an earlier stage to measure the rooms so carpets can be ready to fit just after completion but appreciate the need for Covid compliance uppermost in all their minds. I have seen most house builders in my area and Anwyl are one of the best and have great bricklayers, plasterers, plumbers and painters who were forever courteous to my almost daily presence on the site. Just recently completed on a property at Tyddyn Bach and have to say Anwyl have been brilliant the whole way through the process of purchase and after sales care.
