During a recent purchase of a bungalow by my elderly mother I found certain of Berryman’s staff to be aggressive and threatening in our dealings with them. For example, being told the sale would collapse unless we exchanged and completed within the next three working days, despite our solicitor having had no contact with the vendor’s conveyancer at that point in time. This silly tactic may have worked on my elderly mother, but it just made my sister’s and my own opinion of estate agents drop even lower i.e that anything would be stated if it was thought it would achieve a sale.
