If you are looking for an agency who ignore all of your requests for broken windows, toilets, curtains etc...then Chancellors is what you're looking for! After 12 months at a property 'managed' by Chancellors, it's amazing that they are still in operation. Lied about about the property coming with a parking spot at 98A Easton street when presenting the property, to only find out after numerous calls and emails that there was no parking allocated for the property. Never viewing the property throughout the tenancy to check up on it's condition, refusing to fix a window that no longer had a lock to it making it accessible to anyone with a ladder, not providing my flatmate with blinds and so requiring her to use a blanket as a curtain for 12 months. All to then allow the Landlord to try and claim over 1/3 of our deposit to fix these damages that were present and requested to be fixed before we even moved in. All four tenants working 9-5 meaning that we spent just as much time in the property as out, it's mind-boggling to understand how we could have possible caused 500£ in damages claimed for. Especially after not even being in the property from March - July (End of tenancy) due to moving home for the COVID lockdown. I would urge anyone who values their money to use any other agency. I will never use Chancellors again.

They are the worst estate agents I have ever come across the staff make promises they will call back to arrange a simple viewing then they don’t. The manager is rude unhelpful. They are con artists they only offer to let you view a property if you go with their mortgage broker using COVID as an excuse. The staff are most unhelpful. Unfortunately I found my dream home which is being sold through them but I have decided not to go ahead with it due to their lack of customer service and ill attitude. I don’t fancy being shouted at down the phone by the manager. Stay well clear. I have worked in various customer facing roles for over 15 years never have I spoken to anyone in this manner or come across anything like this. Needed to move as soon as possible to property in the area for work. Chancellors was the only agency that I interacted with which gave me there undivided attention. An agent called George got me into a viewing as soon as they could and had the paperwork sorted by the end of the week. I would 100% recommend especially for any working professional

Please don’t go with chancellors. I’ve just looked at other reviews on other sites and this and it turns out there are many many people experiencing the same issues. We are scared to contact anyone like an ombudsman in case they kick us out. We used their complaints email directors@chancellors.co and nothing changed at all. Honestly AVOID this company because whilst they might be able to find you a flat or house, be really kind and sweet and supportive, advise they can make sure it’s accessible for your disability, but any issues at all they will NOT help with. This is due to terrible internal structure and communication and poor training. The person who manages Lettings in Wycombe (named below) is obviously inept at his job and has caused significant delay, confusion and stress in our house for over two months. I feel like this review might get us kicked out unfairly, but they’re so rich they can do what they want. But please don’t go with them it’ll ruin your life!

I had the most horrible experience with this agency lately. If you don't want headaches find a better agency who takes their job seriously. Long story short: I've booked two times to see a house , i arrived at the place and no agent show up and when i called back to see what happened she said i wasn't in their booking sistem . Then i booked again an appointment and same thing happened NO AGENT SHOW UP . When to book third time they said the house it's not longer available. Worst agency I've ever dealt with 👎

Over the past 18 months, I have been badgered by calls and emails from this company to sell a property that I don't own. Repeated requests to remove my contact details from their database have been ignored so I have filed a formal complaint with their Directors and shortly with the ICO. 😔 Sadly, despite the response below to my review, my emails remain unacknowledged and unanswered. Steer clear of this branch. They appear to be a highly unprofessional outfit!

Terrible. I told the lady I was looking for a 2 bedroom flat as we are downsizing, to then have a load of emails with 3 bedroom properties outside the area. The lady also mentioned a property that I said I wouldn't be interested in. Then received an email saying I had booked a viewing? Then received a call to confirm the viewing after I had replied to the email saying I wasn't interested. Then I called to ask if I could arrange a viewing for a property listed on the website, to which the woman replied no we can't do that, and straight to okay thanks bye. So rude, I wouldn't recommend asking them for advice as you either get bombarded with properties you specifically said you wasn't interested in or a rude member of staff.
