We had a fantastic experience working with Ben at King's. Even though we didn't end up finding the right house this time, he was incredibly helpful, patient and knowledgeable throughout the process. He took his time to understand exactly what we were looking for and were always available to answer our questions and offer valuable advice. Review of Kings Letting Agency Enfield TownI’m giving Kings Letting Agency only 4 stars instead of 5. We rented our flat in Enfield for a number of years and found the agent able to achieve a decent rent, found traders when we needed repairs, sorted out the gas inspections and generally looked after the invoicing & documentation to an acceptable level. There are 2 things that let them down after we decided to sell the flat for reasons not associated with Kings. We had agreed a refund arrangement of the tenancy agreement set-up costs with Kings if/when the tenant moved out of the flat before the expiry of their years contract to buy their own home. We had agreed this with the tenant & Kings before the beginning of their tenancy. There was some unseemly retraction of this arrangement, when we came to sell the flat, until Kings realised that we had an e-mail from them, agreeing to this. Also, the tenants left some rubbish and we claimed the cost of a removal company to take it away. It took Kings 2 months to get our money back from TDS, despite paying for the removal ourselves and repeated requests for a payment out of the tenant’s deposit.

I dealt with Sophie in letting and she was fantastic as were all the staff who made me so welcome. Unfortunately my experience with the maintenance department had totally alienated me from ever using this company again. A few of my complaints are as follows: 1. I paid for digital tv but they did not fix the aerials in the house. 2. The electrics kept flipping and on several occasions I was without electricity for several hours. 3. The front door lock was not working, they sent out a handy man who had no idea what he was doing, as did the aerial man. Eventually I ended up locking myself out and incurred the cost of £170 myself. 4. I was without hot water for 2 weeks and was told I had a kettle and that was by the manager. I might add I had 2 children at home and I work 2 jobs. This was in the summer when we had the hottest day ever recorded. In the end, as I was only renting due to my own home being flooded, my children slept on the floor at our home as they had electric, hot water and the internet. My bathroom was not finished so we all took the risk of the shower leaking. This has left a complete negative for kings. So unfortunate as my initial meeting at the office was so inspiring.

I found working with Kings very slow. I would regularly wait days for email responses and if I called I would always be told I'd get a call back which never came. I'd have to ring/email over 3 times each time to get contact. When I spoke to the manager Sam about this he got quite defensive and told me they legally have over 10 days to get back to emails. I ended up buying the property through them because I loved it so much and had no choice but it turns out none of the heaters work in here which they obviously were not aware of - or worse did but didn't say! Overall not a great experience at all
