I used this agency to sell my property

I used this agency to sell my property, and unfortunately my experience was disappointing. I felt I was persuaded to reduce the asking price without sufficient justification, which ultimately did not work in my best interest. Communication throughout the process was generally good, but good communication alone is not enough. I was under the impression that the buyer had the financial means to complete the purchase, only to later discover that they first needed to sell their own property because they did not have the funds for the deposit. This was not made clear to me from the beginning. The fees are high, as expected from a typical high street estate agency, but in my opinion the level of service does not justify the cost. The transaction was also unnecessarily delayed, resulting in a loss of both time and money. That said, there are members of the team who are professional and genuinely helpful, and I appreciate their efforts. Despite the delays and the challenges throughout the process, the sale was eventually completed. Would I use this agency again? Probably not.

I contacted Robinson Jackson about a couple of their properties. From the 1st response to the appointment setting to the information gathering as well as feedback, they kept in contact were very easy to work with - very professional (and believe me I have met some agents that I would not use again!). Unfortunately, on this occasion I could not go forward due to personal circumstances, but they (especially Linley) did not make me feel like I had wasted their time. When selling a property we had originally opted for a “competitor” agent but after 2 months and only one, alleged, viewing we opted to terminate that contract and appoint Robinson Jackson. The difference in service was noticeable from the first point, improved marketing, regular updates and, more importantly, a much improved number of viewings and subsequent offers. Ultimately the house sold and every engagement with the Orpington branch staff was good and objective. Everyone who worked with us on the sale of the property worked collectively as a team with the same objective. Our biggest regret was that we didn’t appoint Robinson Jackson from the outset. Special thanks to Steve for the continual updates and communications. We would definitely recommend Robinson Jackson and would use them again.

It’s been a difficult sale over an extended period of time due to repairs issues and an insurance claim, but Steve kept in touch while it was ongoing. Once all was resolved and the property was back on the market, a buyer was found and the sale proceeded relatively quickly, with Steve and the team chasing and checking and updating me. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

This estate agents seemed to be fine to begin with, once a rental contract is signed they then are incredibly difficult to deal with. I filed a maintenance report the week we moved into their property, and I have not yet had a contractor look into the issue and it has been 3 months. They withhold information at viewing stage which is extremely frustrating. They promise someone will look into the issue then no-one responds for weeks on end until chased. We have not had a working washer/dryer for the last 3 months and with 2 small toddlers this has made our time at the property so far extremely difficult and stressful. I have not seen anything like this in my 10 years of renting, and I would advise everyone to be very cautious when taking on a property with Robinson & Jackson Estate Agents.

Bought my first house from Robinson Jackson Gravesend branch. I cannot fault them in their help and support during the time of the buying process. Buying a house is stressful enough as a first time buyer but this branch help give me clear instructions in each step of the process. It did not help as house was part of a 4 part chain but i received calls weekly and emails to help reassure me the process was still being followed through. Also were prompt with answering any queries i had and if i was unsure what would happen next, they clearly explained the process. Special thanks to Tammy. From the very beginning, she went above and beyond in every possible way. Tammy was incredibly responsive, always available to answer our questions, and kept us in the loop at every stage of the process. Even went above and beyond chasing documents with our solicitor and buyers solicitor to ensure the sale was proceeding. Tammy’s commitment and dedication are unmatched, she truly had our best interests at heart and made us feel like her top priority. Even near to exchange we had booked a holiday and was worried about delays as it was already delayed by the 3rd party in the chain. Tammy gave clear and good advice on what to do and what to expect during completion so we could go on holiday relaxed and reassured it would all go ahead. If you’re looking for an agent who is reliable, knowledgeable, and goes the extra mile, I can’t recommend Tammy highly enough. I would like to mention her colleagues who also helped during the process such as Nicola and Jo who also helped sending updates and moving the process along.They even held the keys for me till i came back from Holiday and promptly handed them over so we could move in. I would not hesitate to use them again in the future whether it would be selling or buying.

Awful Experience as a Buyer at the Chatham Branch

I had a very disappointing experience with the Chatham branch of Robinson Michael Jackson, specifically with the handling of my purchase by Kiran. As a first-time buyer, I made every effort to carry out proper due diligence, including requesting a second viewing shortly after my offer was accepted. This was not facilitated for several months, despite multiple requests, and even after I had already paid for a survey. This delay meant that when I was finally able to revisit the property, it was very late in the process and close to the seller’s intended completion date. During the second viewing, I identified an issue that required further inspection by a builder, which I had to arrange at short notice and additional cost due to the delays. When raising this, I was met with an unhelpful and dismissive response, being told that my surveyor “should have picked it up,” despite the fact the survey had been carried out months earlier. When I attempted to renegotiate based on professional advice, I felt significant pressure was applied due to the seller’s timeline, culminating in being told “we will not be doing business with you.” This came across as highly unprofessional and inappropriate, particularly given my position in the chain as a first-time buyer. Communication throughout was poor, and there was a lack of consideration for my position in the transaction. The process felt rushed at the end due to earlier delays that were not of my making. I will say that Sam, the branch manager, did step in and made a genuine effort to resolve matters, which I appreciated. However, this does not outweigh the overall experience. Based on my experience, I found the service to be unprofessional, poorly managed, and not supportive of a buyer acting in good faith.
