Great service from Ella and the team at…

Great service from Ella at Horsham - she turned around a rental in what must have been close to record time (less than 10 working days!!). She made a stressful move incredibly easy and such a positive experience after been separated from family due to COVID for over 18months, and has continued to offer support and advice after the tenancy started. First class and nothing too much trouble - there were a lot of complicated hoops to jump through, but this didn’t seem to phase her and the team. For someone new to the role this must have been a bit daunting, but it was all handled professionally, considerately and most importantly quickly. Thanks again Ella!

Wallington branch - over promised, under delivered

Please bare in mind they tie you in to a contract for 20 weeks which is 5 months. Only had 13 viewings over the course of 5 months (7 of these we're the first weekend) and were told if we reduce our property by £10k it would drive a new group of prospects and would definitely sell, which we did, and didn't get any viewings for nearly 5 weeks! We we're even regularly told we had over 30% more interest than other properties in our area. When we decided to end our contract they made out they didn't receive any of my emails despite replying to an email from the wallington branch. I then called to chase receipt of email 4 times and noone called me back. It was only when I asked for the branch manager that I was given a personal email address to send my end of contract email to, to it then be undeliverable as they gave me an incorrect email address! Would not recommend. Our property has also been removed from their website and rightmove, despite the date of the contract not ending until next week.

If I could write a review without a…

If I could write a review without a star I would. We were most disappointed with the Patcham office. Make sure you read everything you sign. We were tied into a 5 month sole agency agreement which was impossible to get out of. What a nightmare. On our supposed "open day" we didn't have one single viewing despite being in the middle of the most buoyant market ever. When they did make appointments the supposed viewers either cancelled or didn't show. We had our suspicions that there were no viewings in the first place.When we wrote to them saying we weren't happy with progress and that we were going remove the property, they miraculously produced a purchaser who didn't even have their property on the market.After the initial consultation with the Branch Manager we had to deal with the two assistants. Very poor show.....would definitely not recommend them to anyone

Purley Branch/New Homes Team

I recently completed on a flat with the Purley branch and overall it’s been a really good experience specifically with Nish Zafar in the New Homes team. Despite the purchase being significantly delayed for reasons outside C&W’s control, Nish stayed in constant contact and responded to emails and calls quickly. Nish also liaised directly with my solicitors to get things moving and certainly went above and beyond what I would expect. This process would have certainly been much more stressful than it was would it not have been to Nish’s perseverance in getting this over the line. Thank you!

I couldn't have faulted Lauren throughout my whole experience of buying my first home. I first met Lauren whilst viewing a different property and whilst I was looking around it was very apparent that wasn't the right one. Having listened to what I wanted and needed Lauren then suggested I looked at a different property which was for sale that I hadn't considered before, at first I was apprehensive to view the property as I wasn't originally looking or a flat however Lauren filled me with confidence that it may in fact be exactly what I needed and to maybe consider viewing it to keep my options open. When I viewed the property I knew that it was perfect for what I would need. I then have since purchased that property and have Lauren to thank for finding it! Lauren also was so helpful throughout the whole process and any questions I had she was right there to help and advise making the process as stress free as possible. Thanks again Lauren!

Worst experience ever

Worst experience ever. Put an offer 15k over asking, they turned bullish and twisted our arm into using their solicitor and broker. When we said okay to solicitor and no to broker, they rejected the offer! I have never dealt with an estate agent like this. Total disregard if the buyer. I know markets ballooned up right now bht it’ll go slow. Get over yourselves guys! Eventually you’ll need us. Absolutely appalled. We have even paid their solicitor fee and just because we said no to their broker! Never again. No wonder they hardly have any good houses to sell. Ppl know better

Tried to sell a house with Cubit and west

I brought in Cubit and west to sell our house in August 2020, we managed to get it live on the market in September, Cubit and west gave us advise on how to achieve a quick sale, we therefore did everything they asked us to do (which included taking a significant financial impact to do the sale chain free) and finally sold in December. The sale stalled in april with no movement, I gave notice to the post sale co-ordinator AND the manager of the branch that if no progress can be made then we had to put it back on the market as we cannot wait any longer. the notice was made over the phone and I was clear I would use a different agent. NEITHER the manager or the post sales adviser it had to be in writing. We have therefore withdrawn from the sale and even though notice was received Cubit and west has advised they are holding us to 14 days notice from the time I put it in writing. Thus preventing us from selling and delaying us again!! I feel they have tried to manipulate us to remain with them and been dishonest in not accepting the notice which was provided and referenced several times in emails. I would never use them again, selling your house is stressful enough without having the firm you employed to do the job attempting to bully you in the process.Update! They have called today and released us from contract :-) very happy with this outcome. Thank you
