The Aylsham branch of W H Brown’s estate agents, managed by Chris Smith, is an outstanding estate agent. I have recently sold property through this office, during which time, I experienced excellent, outstanding, and high quality professional support throughout the complete process from start to completion of sale. This team are absolutely fantastic but a special mention goes to Chris Smith and Chelsea Thornton who are both an absolute credit to the office! Nothing was ever too much trouble and even at times where I thought it was all a bit touch and go, they really put my mind at ease knowing that they were doing their upmost to make sure my sales went through successfully. I most certainly would highly recommend W H Brown, Estate Agents, Aylsham at anytime for both sale & purchase of property. Many thanks to Chris, Chelsea and all in the office at W H Browns, Aylsham.

Selling a house they say is a stressful time.. well the team at WHB Aylsham helped make this easier and there to give advice, guidance and support all the way. Great communication not just at key stages, but regular calls to inform and reassure all going to plan! The main contacts during this process were Chris and Miranda, although if not available the rest of the WHB team handled any questions, it felt like they had a clear understanding of the house sale. We approached William H Brown in Aylsham to help with the sale of my late mother in law's house. From our first meeting with Bruce and through every subsequent interaction with Chris, Chelsea, Nadine and Miranda we felt completely supported and as though they really had our best interests at heart. What can we say about this lovely bunch, this is the second time we've used them, nothing is too much trouble, they have gone above & beyond to help us through two moves & we really appreciate every thing they have done for us. All I can say is they are shocking

All I can say is they are shocking. They have a brilliant sales pitch to get you hook on using them to sell your property then once you agree the service they provide goes downhill from there. 99% of the viewings are time wasters as they are not vetted before viewing that they are even interested or proceedable to purchase. They promise open house viewing days but have never once done anything like that. Communication is poor and I'm always chasing them for everything. You get sent offers you accept them then they say the buyer has lowered their offer will you accept it.

Phoned to place an offer on a house and the agent miss took notes, our offer was never present to the seller and another offer accepted. We only discovered this on following up about our offer and the agent rep was dismissive and rude and unapologetic. Although in further discussions with another rep they were apologetic and alot more forth coming, But the experience has put me off dealing with them in the future if it can be helped.

Keep pestering me despite house selling months ago

Came to our house for a free valuation before putting it on the market. We went with another agent because we felt William H Brown overvalued our house. We told them as soon as we decided that we wouldn’t be going with them. Since then, they have pretty consistently called me from various offices (local/regional etc) asking to co list with the agent we chose, trying to set up an appt with their in house mortgage advisor, asking if we have found anywhere else, asking how our sale is progressing etc. Our house sold in a week and we had an offer accepted on our new house the following week so we have absolutely no need for any input from William h brown. Yet still, three months later, they call me fortnightly to ask how everything is going, despite me asking them repeatedly to remove my details and any data associated with me. They are dogs with a bone who won’t take no for an answer!

I dealt with William H brown, Holderness road branch as a tenant. Firstly, they tried to scam me into buying home insurance as an essential requirement of the contract. During the tenancy my landlord was lovely and remained in touch directly, so thankfully I didnt have to deal with them. At the end, I was in huge trouble because WH brown's absolute unprofessionalism. Despite multiple calls and requests they failed to provide references for my next agent. I had no where to go for a week due to this delay. It cost me a fortune! Over a month has lapsed but they have done anything about my deposit. When asked they said to get in touch with the lamdlord directly. Whereas they were the ones processing the deposit collection initially. After sorting it with the landlord myself it was over 2 weeks without any further progress to deposit return. Really a shameful service!! Staff and service all pathetic

Its been 5 years since I moved out of a rented property by William H Brown in St Albans and I have not been refunded my holding deposit. I have contacted them severally over the phone and emails and no luck till date. Nothing but radio silence. First I was told the Landlord would be contacted to claim back the £500 or so left after she dubiously claimed damages on the property. They then later pushed it on me to speak chase the landlord to reach an agreement on obtaining my deposit back. I have used a 2026 date on my review because trustpilot doesnt allow you to go all the way back to 2021.

Avoid WH Brown!

Sold my house through W H Brown and they were the worst estate agent I have ever used. Communication was nil, left messages and they didn’t get back at all. Actually went 5 MONTHS with no contact! Sold my house to first viewer for full asking price so they had very little to do.When I complained to head office, they stated the branch had done nothing wrong! Obviously have low standards. Definitely an estate agent to avoid. No wonder they have a poor reputation
