We 100% recommend the team at Ocean Estate Agents Downend. From Laurence who visited to value our home of 25 years to all the guys who carried out the viewings. When a sale was achieved the brilliant Liz and Lisa, Move Managers, kept everyone updated and chased the chain on a weekly basis as the sale progressed. This was no mean feat as our purchase was not the easiest to manage. Thanks to all the team at Ocean Downend we are now settled in our new home. We received excellent sales and marketing advice from the branch manager Steve who was enthusiastic and approachable. We lost one sale along the way and the market definitely became more challenging but Steve remained confident and positive about our property and managed to get a good number of viewings and a very decent offer. The sales progression had a few hiccups but these were managed diligently by Melissa and we completed on the sale as hoped for. Lots of agents can sell a property in a strong market but when the market becomes more sticky you really need a first class agent with experience, determination and the ability to get hold of a situation and sort it. That’s what we got with Ocean and we are very happy that we used them to sell our house.

Following helpful advice from Liz at Ocean Downend we decided to go with them to sell our property. All the team were extremely helpful from Laurence who valued to all the guys who carried out the viewings. Although our purchase was tricky they supported both us and our buyers. They kept in regular contact with our buyers and ourselves and chased the chain upwards on a weekly basis. With the brilliant Liz and Lisa on the case we achieved completion. We would not hesitate to recommend Ocean Downend if you are looking to sell.

Good at selling the property for us but once sold not so impressed. They say they kept in close contact with regular updates but I believe this was only with us chasing them. They didn’t like to ring us and actually chat about the ongoing issues but instead email which I feel was impersonal. It’s very easy to hide behind an email. I appreciate it is needed for trail but phone calls are more personal. It was a long process, no fault of of own and it seemed at the end that we had to attempt to try and move things along at a pace rather than our buyers doing this. Overall very average

Ocean were very friendly and helpful to deal with in the beginning. They made us feel good about the property we were selling and we felt a good vibe from them right away, which is why we chose to sell our property with them. Once an offer was put in and accepted we started to feel that Ocean were more acting for the buyers rather than keeping our, or both of our, best interests in mind.

I highly recommend Ocean letting agency for people who are in search of rental house at Bristol. They were really helpful and understand the needs of people and help you accordingly as much as they could support. I can’t wait to say about Ms Amelia West, one of the staffs from Ocean , who is really an amazing person, very kind hearted and very helpful with our process. I wish all the agencies should have staffs like Amelia to improve their services in Uk. She is such an amazing person to come across in my life I say. I strongly recommend Ocean as first choice for housing search. All credit goes to Ms Amelia West. 5 stars is not enough for her service, she needs more than that. GoogleMy wife and I received a great service from Ocean estate agents and property lawyers. We had to sell my deceased mother in law's house. It got complicated as the house needed renovation and a contract had to be made with the buyer to get the work done. Ocean staff helped us deal with the stress and got the job done safely and professionally. I would highly recommend them to get you through even the most complicated house sale. My sale seemed to be passed around the office, nobody seemed to pay much interest. As a result, important information wasn't passed on to me as quickly as it should. The sale has now completed, but I haven't heard from Ocean since then. They really don't care.

Your case file has been thoroughly reviewed by our Sales Director, in consultation with the Sales Manager, negotiator and Move Manager, to ensure we learn from your comments. In terms of the team’s involvement, our specialist valuer, Clair, handed over the sale to your negotiator, Hal, as is usual. Once an offer was accepted, your Move Manager took charge, navigating the complex transaction to a successful conclusion. There were instances when communication was handled by your sales negotiator and office manager due to your Move Manager’s annual summer leave.We acknowledge that one email was not responded to within our standard working day policy, for which we apologise. However, our records indicate that a response was sent outside of working hours on the same day. We note that your buyers mortgage lender required a Deed of Variation for the lease. They requested multiple changes, causing delays. Rest assured, our sales team and lawyers did their utmost to expedite these issues.We value your feedback and assure you it has been taken seriously. Our mortgage advisor, Luigi, was absolutely brilliant from the start to the end of the process. Luigi provided us with multiple mortgage value options to help us understand what we could afford and what was best for us going forward. Given the current environment of interest rates Luigi provided a lot of support and understanding as markets changed daily. Luigi responded to all our emails within 10 minutes and prepared different proposals very quickly for us. He helped reduce stress in a very anxiety provoking process which was amazing for us both. Our house purchase took just over 5 months and Luigi checked in with us every step of the way and ensured we were on the best rate possible throughout. Will definitely use Luigi in the future.

A fairly pleasant experience, until the branch manager was involved. I have never been spoken to the way Jason Bunting spoke to me. As a solo, young female buyer, the experience was hard enough as it was. The poignant moment for me was when the tenants of the property I was purchasing weren’t informed properly that a valuer was coming round, and therefore didn’t let them in when they arrived, as they didn’t know who they were. The bank then tried to charge me a £150 no show fee. I rang Ocean to say that this shouldn’t be my fee to pay as they should have communicated that the valuer was coming round to the tenants properly. I then had Jason tell me to ‘remember he did me a favour’ when he cancelled viewings for me, after my offer £15,000 over asking price was accepted. After trying to argue with me, I asked to speak to someone else who could speak to me in a calmer tone, for him then to tell me ‘i’m in charge of this office, there is no one else to speak to’. I wish I had recorded this phone call, as I have never had someone speak to me like this. Disrespectful and disgusting behaviour from him, he tainted the whole experience for me, which is meant to be an exciting and happy time buying my first home.
