I recently had the pleasure of working again with Debra Barton, Senior Negotiator and Jennifer Yeates in the Lettings Team at Chappell & Matthews, during the process of securing a new tenant for my Clifton property, and I cannot recommend their services highly enough. From the outset, they both demonstrated an exceptional level of professionalism and efficiency. The attention to detail throughout the documentation process was outstanding, every form, agreement and supporting requirement was handled accurately and without delay. It was clear that they have a thorough command of lettings procedures and compliance requirements, even as we transition into new legislative regulations, which gave me complete confidence that everything was being managed correctly. What particularly impressed me was Debra's proactive approach to managing timescales. She kept me fully informed at every stage, communicated clearly and promptly, and ensured that the transition to the new tenancy arrangement progressed smoothly and on schedule. There was never a moment where I felt uncertain about where things stood or what the next step would be. The calm, organised manner and evident dedication to delivering a seamless experience for both landlord and tenant made what can often be a stressful process feel entirely straightforward. They are both a real asset to the Chappell & Matthews team, and I would not hesitate to continue to work with them again in the future.

Having just purchased a property from Chappell & Matthews I have to thank the team for enabling a speedy move process. Bailey was great throughout the viewings; Friendly & professional, allowing us space to properly look around yet being on hand to answer any questions we had- He wasn't pushy like some other agents we've dealt with in the past and that certainly helped us to cement our decision. After the offer stage, Fiona and Rosie were fantastic with helping push the transaction through, offering advice and support where needed. Lovely "welcome to your new home" box too upon completion, which just left a really nice final touch to the transaction

I have had a very positive experience with Chappell and Matthews. Myself and my partner were looking for a flat and upon calling them, they booked us into the first viewing possible and within that day of viewing we managed to secure a lovely flat in the location which we desired! I would like to give particular thanks to Maddie Farr-Weston who showed us around the property and sorted all of the paperwork etc and Debra for arranging the initial viewing and being proactive in helping us find our perfect property. Can't thank Debra and Emily enough!! After the other experiences I've had trying to find and secure a flat in Bristol, dealing with them felt like a breath of fresh air. They were so friendly and helpful at every step. Being a student made it even more difficult to find a place that would take me in, but Debra was so accommodating and made certain that I knew exactly how to proceed at each step. I never right reviews but this experience has forced me RUN!!! Rented us a damp uninhabitable flat and enforced us to run a dehumidifier offering no compensation for the energy costs. Hired the most unprofessional contractors to complete the constant repairs needed leaving the property in terrible condition. Constant lingering damp smell even though we had the heating on high and all the windows open the dehumidifier and a fan for airflow. Overall horrible to deal with the staff expressing abusive behaviour when any simple request is made to repair serious issues like plaster and paint falling off the walls or even leaking windows. Kate Reed is honestly one of the worst people I’ve ever had to deal with. I understand when renting you often don’t have a choice and all estate agents are pretty hard to work with but if you can avoid them at all costs. If you are a landlord with a moral compass who wants there property taken care of DO NOT LET THOUGH CHAPPLLE AND MATHEWS. (They also forcefully encourage you to leave a 5 star review)
