If you’re a student, there are agencies that treat you better. I have been in Brighton 5 years with 5 different student agencies and Q estate agency is the worst one. The level of communication between them with themselves and our house is poor (Even before Covid-19). All 5 years my deposit in other locations have been handed in less than a week after moving out. Q agents still haven’t returned any deposit, 2 weeks + just because of their communication within their own establishment. We only know because WE have to keep calling them everyday and emailing and always get told a different story or that they forgot to tell someone to do it. The lack of communication is what makes them unprofessional and come across worse.NegativeProfessionalism

If you want to sell your property, then use "Q" and TAKE THEIR ADVISE! They are incredible! During these times of unchartered territory and uncertainty we were full of doubt and questioned their decisions. If we hadn't used "Q" before we admit that we may have disagreed with their advise, as selling your home is a huge undertaking, and we were anxious. Despite the challenges of 2020, "Q" Sold our house for more than the asking price (AGAIN, second move with them). Professional, tight, and friendly small team; with an astounding knowledge of the everchanging moods of the market and their clients. They have certainly not gone rusty since we last used them in 2014. We simply can not recommend "Q" highly enough. Listen to them and you will have an easy and successful house selling experience. They are the benchmark of five stars.

Q have been fully managing my home since January. As a first-time landlord it was slightly nerve-racking, but every member of staff that I encountered from my initial queries last year through to tenants checking out last week have been so helpful! Every querie has been answered, any problems encountered have been dealt with, and communication has been great throughout, even during the pandemic, so I'm really grateful for all their hard work. Q was recommended to me, and I would highly recommend them to others.

I bought my home through Q a few years ago and found it a really stressful experience. Whilst they got the job done, I found their customer service lacking. They were quite aggressive and rude - at least the guy we dealt with who i think was called James. He was frustrated with us because we were cautious first time buyers and wanted to ensure everything was done properly (such as getting confirmation that an RSJ had been put in after the removal of a supporting wall), which he took as us intentionally holding up the process (which we had no reason to do). We also felt they were a little sexist in tending to only deal with my boyfriend. I felt that they made our first home-buying experience quite unpleasant unfortunately. I can see they have lots of other good reviews, so maybe it was just a personality clash. I imagine they're good for sellers, but weren't so good for us as buyers, although they did leave us a bottle of red on completion, so that was nice and i enjoyed it very much.NegativeProfessionalism

We loved finding our new home through Q, they were always on hand to answer questions and help get our offer accepted. They've given us great advice throughout, especially during lockdown when everything was up in the air from mortgages to chains. My son and his friends viewed and reserved a property through these agents. Whilst they were going through the letting process the agent went off sick with Covid. The colleague who was supposed to be continuing with the paperwork stopped responding and, after some chasing, advised that she had let the property to another group. So don’t believe them when they say the property is yours!!

This was our third attempted house purchase (only one that was successful and only one with Qs Estate Agents) In the past we had some not so great dealings with estate agents who were very pushy, dishonest and not good communicators. Not the case for Qs! Very approachable, happy to answer our questions and did so in good time, yet were not pushy with us (for instance when waiting for things like the survey, or other things outside of our control!) this made the process a lot less stressful (considering how stressful house buying is) and although I hope I don't need to buy another house, if we did I would happily use Qs again!

Q Estates continue to be top-class Estate Agents. I have signed with them three times, and will instruct my family to go to them when the time comes. James Beale heads the team. Any difficulties, and he will step and and go the extra mile for me. The whole team have excellent training and qualifications, lacking with so many Agents who employ very young and inexperienced people. I can't rate Q Estates highly enough. We in the UK are currently facing chaos across the board. In spite of a particularly tricky sale and purchase, including malpractice from my solicitors, I was supported at every turn on many fronts. I had an offer accepted on a flat on the basis it was taken off the market. The following day Q took other buyers around, informed me a higher offer had been made, and wanted ‘highest bids’ to be made. Really unpleasant thing to do to someone - I hope no one loses money because of their poor values. On a positive, for Q money reigns so if you are selling you can ensure you get the best price.

We chose Q Estates to sell our flat earlier this year after being struck by how human they seemed compared to other estate agents. And we made the right choice because throughout an extremely difficult sale they remained enthusiastic, conscientious, and seemed genuinely to have our best interests at heart. They were also the only reliable agents in the whole chain and by far the most competent: without their hard work in liaising between all the various parties there is no doubt that the whole thing would have collapsed long ago. Highly recommended. (If we hadn't vowed to never move again we'd use them again in a flash.)

I would recommend them to anyone selling a house. They were always very professional and a pleasure to deal with. Realistic and honest advice. Always available to talk through our options when we had a particularly difficult buyer. They worked extremely hard to keep all links of our complex chain in place (doing a lot of the work that other buyers solicitors and estate agents should have been doing). I really believe that we wouldn’t have been able to move house if we had gone with another estate agent.

I trust them so little that ive been waiting to have my deposit safely back in my account to post this review! Highly recommend this estate agent. I am a student who rented with a very large Brighton estate agent last year. From my experience, and other stories I have heard, the main goal of these bigger estate agents is to take your money. However, I got the impression that Q lettings is an honest and reputable company who care about their tenants. We were going to be renting a house with them next year but, unfortunately, the plans fell through and we went from a 5 person group to a 4 person group. Q lettings were patient and understanding of our situation. Although I therefore haven't rented with them, I can say that feedback from the tenants who lived in the house we were going to rent was excellent. The guys reply promptly to queries and are good to communicate with!

Our first time selling a house proved to be a positive and stress free experience in the more than capable hands of Q Sales and Lettings. Their valuation was competetive, but their advice and non pushy attitude, made them stand out from the pack and that's what made us choose them. We weren't disappointed, as the quality of service continued throughout the entire process. They were constantly willing to help and we always felt they genuinely had our best interests at heart.
