Disappointing experience with Haywards…

Disappointing experience with Haywards Heath branch as a potential buyer of a property that they were selling/managing. Substandard communication throughout the entire process from start to finish with us regularly chasing for updates which was massively elongated due to the sellers 'changing their minds' after we had, had our offer accepted, engaged a solicitor and paid for searches to be completed on the property. The entire situation could have been avoided if the sellers were onboarded correctly with Mansell Mc Taggart to ensure that they were 100% certain about marketing and selling their property. Make sure you get everything formalised in writing to protect yourself should anything go wrong like it did in our situation.

Excellent support and communication

We had a few different agents from the Storrington and Billingshurst branches dealing with our sale. Unsure if we definitely wanted to sell, we took things slowly and were supported initially with a soft sell approach. After getting our house valued last year, we decided not to sell and informed the team in the Horsham branch back in July we were not interested in selling and we would be in touch if things changed. Our no 1 estate agent in the area

During 2022 we were looking to buy a house around Haywards Heath. The frenzied housing market meant it took more than a year and 10 offers before we finally secured our forever home. Throughout our search one agent stood out for us above the rest. The helpfulness of the staff, the quality of the videos and accuracy of the details of the properties were really helpful to us especially as we were then living far from HH. We were pleased that the house we ended up buying was on sale through them and would happily recommend them as a great estate agent despite not having paid for a service from them.

Unprofessional, money orientated, please avoid.

Our purchase through Mansell McTaggart proved to be a very stressful experience and I would strongly urge anybody to avoid them. Their sales/office manager was determined to gazump us from the beginning which they did, twice, for the single purpose of completing a sale and purchase together and earn more commission. Unprofessional and money orientated, this has to be noted and avoided. Moving home is a big deal and this agent cares only about their commission. Please do not use.

The Agent, Andrew threatened to put the property back on the market after sale agreed if i didn’t immediately pay solicitor search fees even though they had moved the lender valuation and it had not happened yet this was also the agents mistake. Nobody should pay fees until evaluation is done as this could end the whole deal. Anyway through fear I paid the fees and guess what later down the line the valuation came back under and the whole sale fell through and i lost my fees. Haywards heath branch… steer well clear

Pretty great service from the Haywards Heath team!

I'm really surprised to read such bad reviews, I used the Haywards Heath branch to purchase my first property and they made the whole process seamless. They were very accommodating, quick to respond to my (many) questions and made me feel completely at ease during what I thought would have been a very stressful time. From first viewing to completion took about 8 weeks and they kept me updated throughout. Couldn't have asked for more really.

Diabolical service! After viewing the property and selling our own we asked for a simple clarification of the details. What was the overall size of the plot? Thank goodness we did because after numerous phone calls and chasing we were told the actual area was significantly less than that on the details. We were fobbed off with “We got the information from the vendors details when they bought the property” Surely checking the details before marketing a property is a skill that a competent estate agent should exercise. It’s not difficult to do with Google Maps a freely available online tool. It shouldn’t take the buyer to point out such a basic mistake. Consequently, we have lost our buyer and have had to start from scratch again. As we have learnt to our cost the stereotype of estate agencies has, unfortunately in the case of dealing with Mansell McTaggart, been proved. Don’t trust estate agents and buyer beware

Awful service - would never personally touch them again!

Awful service from the Forest Row branch going back to selling a large property around August 2019 - eventually selling with another agent in March 2020. Used them as they were very local to the property - wish we had not. Also with a few lies thrown in. Things happened behind our backs without forewarning you to which they had poor excuses when confronted - be aware.
