GoogleWe recently bought a property through Whitlock & Heaps and had a great experience from start to finish. At no point did they come across as pushy, which had been our experience of so many other EAs. We found them to be responsive, helpful and above all else, Jack was a real pleasure to deal with. Thanks so much for helping us through the process!

GoogleNot recommended at all. This estate agent is not mutual between the landlord and tenant. The agent sides with the landlord on all cases. We rented a property from this agent and the landlord had family relationship with Whitlocks and Heaps. We asked for a new kitchen and bathroom to be done and they refused to do it. Once we got evicted, they made houshold improvements including fitting a new kitchen and bathroom in which asked for that to be done in the first place. Its even worth one star , shame you cant give them 0
Dear Harry I was surprised to see your review considering: 1. You had substantial rent arrears 2. Our client had to go through the courts to get possession 3. You have made no attempt to pay the monthly instalments for court costs. 4. We continued to have contractors inspect the property for points raised by you even though no rent had been paid Please also note there is no family connection between the landlord and Whitlock and Heaps.

GoogleJack at Whitlock and Heaps provided fantastic professional service in handling the sale of my flat. Highly responsive, enthusiastic, honest and committed to making sure the sale runs as smoothly as possible. He did not give up on a last minute issue that was raised by the buyer and he went to great lengths to ensure we can move forward. Rare to find an estate agent in Brighton and Hove that are not insistent. One of the best estate agent I have met and would highly recommend.

GoogleReally positive experience with Whitlock and Heaps. Their Pricing was fair, the photos looked great, most importantly for me was that there was always somebody on the phone. Because they work so closely I could always talk to someone who was familiar with our property. I dealt with Peter and Jack and they were really helpful and friendly.

Dear Joycelyn I am surprised and disappointed to read your review especially considering the lengths we went to, to accommodate you at the end of your tenancy. 1. Negotiating with the landlady to allow you to be released early from your contract. 2. When arranging viewings to accommodate your requests there were a number of occasions when viewings were booked and you were then not there to give us access. 3. Once a tenant had been sourced and a move in date agreed you then changed this date which obviously had a knock on effect for the incoming tenants having to change their move date. 4. And finally that after all this you left the property in the appalling condition of which we have evidence of. My team did try to make direct contact with you to discuss your review but because we did not receive a response I felt we needed to reply. Jack Fisk

GoogleI used whitlock and heaps whilst I was buying my first property. Jack and Ed were great! It's a difficult process buying a place and these guys were always very helpful, responsive and nice. Even the viewing in the first place I felt very relaxed and not pressured. Highly recommend!

Peter, Jack and their team are all incredibly professional, friendly and proactive. They have always secured me good tenants, given me good advice, and any issues have always been sorted promptly. My recent house sale with them went smoothly from start to finish despite the usual few stressful moments, and communication was great throughout the process. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

GoogleWhitlock and Heaps acted for us on the sale of our property in Hove. We were so impressed by the whole team. From the first initial meeting with Jack to discuss valuation and marketing, right through to the viewings and the feedback we received after these from either Jack, Peter, or Edward, it was a great experience and we would not hesitate to recommend them. The chain we were in became quite tricky towards the end, especially as we were trying to complete throughout the January lockdown, and Jack worked tirelessly with the estate agents above - and solicitors above and below in the chain - to try to resolve matters that were holding things up at the top of our chain. He was also incredibly supportive and reassuring to our own purchasers who were really keen to finalise the sale and be able to move as soon as possible, which really helped to hold the chain together. Whenever I contacted the office, if I wasn’t able to speak to Jack directly at that moment because he was out, he would always get back to me extremely speedily. I had many very long conversations with the team and felt nothing was too much trouble. They made what was quite a complicated and difficult buying and selling process due to the chain we were in as smooth and easy as it could be. GoogleIt is not all true what people say about estate agents, there are some genuine estate agents (especially the family run ones) who do offer a personal service like Whitlock & Heaps. I used Whitlock & Heaps and found them completely honest and responsive. Communication was excellent throughout the process and was always kept in the loop throughout. I am not local and this did not matter as the estate agent did everything that needed to be done to ensure a good personal service which is rare these days. Thank you Whitlock & Heaps for reassuring me throughout the process.
