GoogleI just wanted to put out there how helpful Andrew and his staff have been over the last week. On having been served notice by a private Landlord, Andrew went above & beyond to give me sound advice & look for an alternative property. Great service & communication. Would recommend. NEW ADDITION TO REVIEW. So we were served notice, it was then retracted & 3 weeks later served again. This has been an extremely stressful 4 months but Andrew & his team have supported my search for a new home that would also welcome two dogs. The communication from the company, the asking landlords regarding dogs, and really just keeping me sane during not only having to find somewhere to live but also these unprecedented times. After renting a property for 2 years through Andrew Lees (including rental increases which were unjustified but nonetheless accepted), we were rewarded with their attempt to charge us over £300 for items as petty as, and I quote, “cobweb”. I rejected the security deposit hold but after numerous back and forth a gave up and settled for around £200. After spending a week extensively cleaning the place and being picked up for minor items which were totally unreasonable, I was so disappointed our rental ended in this way. I had been warned by numerous friends in Bridgwater of Andrew Lees and their ploys when it comes to holding security deposits, so if you’re renting through them, BEWARE. Also worth noting that the condition we received the property in was far worse than we left it. We had been promised brand new carpeting throughout and ended up spending 2 years in the property with carpets which were stained and mouldy in appearance. They also even had the cheek to try charge us for carpet cleaning fees but luckily I took plenty photos on entry to prove them wrong, so again, if renting with them take PLENTY PHOTOS/VIDEOS.
Dear Nathan, Sorry that you are disappointed with the checkout, as an agent we do a video and a written inventory before the property is let, we, the agent, as well as the landlords were disappointed how the property was left at the check out, after reviewing the file, the rent was not in line with market value, it was below market value, the landlady was always very conscientious about keeping rents to a minimum, as you can appreciate the landlords costs have also gone up, with regards to you taking photos, we fully encourage tenants to do so, we wish you the best of luck in your new home. GoogleGenuinely may have saved my life. After the sudden loss of my brother, moving house was the last thing on my mind. Finding rental properties was difficult, and in the end I took myself into town and physically visited various Estate Agents. I can wholeheartedly say that the ladies at Andrew Lees - Yolande and Bridgette in particular - were the most personable group out of all the estate agents I visited. Yolande listened to me, chatted with me and got to understand my position, something that made me feel that I could trust her to do her best to help. I now have a new home, and am excited for the first time since before my brother's passing. Knowing I now have a home makes me feel safe, and I am so thankful to Andrew Lees for making it happen!
