GoogleAfter 18 months of inactivity with my previous well known agent, I switched to Fine and Country in Chelmsford. My advice would be take the option of using there professional photographer, for my house he was instrumental in the sale. The fact the agents manage and attend all of the viewings and give feedback for each viewing was important to me. I instantly had 8 viewings in the first weekend, opposed to 4 in 18 months with the other agent, achieving a fair price with a good ( qualified buyer). The negotiation although difficult; as I was dealing with an ex was made possible with the vast experience of Simon and Ed. The guys are always accessible and have full time ex-solicitor chasing the chain in the background, with regular updates. Professionalism at its best!!.

GoogleAbsolutely terrible service. We listed our home with Fine & Country and had 8 viewings. We were advised that Ed would conduct them whilst we were out. For one viewing he lost the key. A second viewing he came with his wife and children and the children needed to use the bathroom and the third viewing he left the hot tub open, with the heater on for 24 hours. In addition he acted as broker when we tried to sell further items to the buyer and was dishonest and lied about what he was doing. We would never use him again or recommend him. Interesting to note that the buyer of our property has given Ed a fantastic review on here!
I have noted the buyer’s response and even that distorted and untruthful!

It is not always possible to please everyone when dealing with the general public. We marketed Mr Peaty’s property and achieved an excellent sale for a very solid price to an exceptional buyer. We did not lose the key, this was passed to the buyer on completion. One viewing we agreed to was at the antisocial time of late one Sunday afternoon, Ed attended the viewing with his family remaining in the car and Ed called and asked Mr Peaty if one of his children could use the lavatory which was agreed to without any reservation or issue. Mr Peaty asked us to turn the hot tub on for viewings and if we left this on then we apologise however this has never been brought to our attention before. In respect of acting as broker, Mr Peaty wanted to sell his lawnmower and the buyer of his home wanted to buy it, however Mr Peaty for some unknown reason did not want it sold to the buyer as he didn’t want to assist them in any way. Ed intervened and agreed to buy the mower out of his own money. As reading the numerous other reviews here on Google will confirm Ed is very professional. Interestingly Mr Peaty was sufficiently satisfied with Ed’s service to contact him after contracts were exchanged on this sale and notify him of another property he wished Ed and Fine & Country to market. He also paid our invoice in full.

The photographs and virtual tour were very impressive and the agents who then conducted the pre-sale tours were respectful and efficient. Once underway with the sale Jinny supported us through the transaction skilfully with regular updates and reassurances. I would certainly recommend the company to anyone thinking of moving house.

They happily showed people round our house and assisted us over and above what we expected once we had sold and the chain was in place. Paula acted as the middle man between all parties and was the reason we have now exchanged as there were a few issues with some of the parties. We would definitely recommend them.

Paula, who handled our sale, was lovely and professional throughout. She was easy to get in touch with whenever we needed.
The photos and the details they printed were very professional and showed our beautiful home in a great light.
Only slight downside is that they aren’t the cheapest commission wise and they don’t have a local office in this area. Also, expecting you to compensate them for the photos and video if they don’t sell your home is a new one on me, but this I guess is a company policy, and no reflection on Paula who we dealt with.
