GoogleAwful people !!!!!!!!! Made an enquiry over a year ago ,didn't proceed with them for specific reasons,. They now keep harassing me on the phone (received 5 or 6 unsolicited calls) Repeatedly asked to be taken off there call list ,so far to no avail. Eventually I had to be rude over the phone due to the harassment/frustration! MY ADVICE STEER CLEAR!!!!!

Professional, efficient and friendly service. All the staff at the Rainham Branch of Bairstow Eves have been outstanding and a pleasure to deal with.I originally used a lesser known estate agents, who did have cheaper fees, but I received a very poor service and consequently with no sale of my property. You really do get what you pay for.Being very apprehensive with estate agents in general, I decided to give Rainham (Essex) Bairstow Eves branch a try.They were absolutely brilliant and I cannot fault any of their staff.Thank you, Chris and your first class team.

They were very friendly, from the day of viewing to the day i went to collect the keys and even after we'd moved in they continued to help and give us assistance wherever and whenever we needed it. GoogleVery happy with the service the lettings team have provided in letting my buy to let property after speaking to Steve the manager who went up later that day to take photos, the listing was on right move that night. Juliet and Katie then did a great job vetting potential applicants and had the property let that weekend. Would throughly recommend.

TrustpilotKEEPING MY 3500 GBP (deposit & partial rent) for no reason
Partial rent & deposit is still not paid to me in more than 100 days after leaving the rented property on 31st March 2024. I had to leave the rented property early to move to mortgaged house. I have paid them 1500 GBP their non-sense early contract exit and property ad fees; still they are shamelessly keeping my partial rent (paid rent for full month April) and deposit of 2000 GBP, which is nearly 3500 GBP. I was not expecting their service to be the worst in the market. I am going to report to property ombudsman for sure. NO ONE SHOULD USE THEIR DISGUSTING SERVICES.

GoogleExcellent estate agents, Bairstow's definitely went above and beyond for the sale of my home which I had lived in very happily for over 20 years. As you can imagine was even happier to find a new lovely family to purchase it. All the staff were really great Peter I feel went above and beyond and was there from beginning to end. Would also like to give a mention to Paul and Abbey who also took part in the sale of my home and made things run really smoothly. Would highly recommend Bairstow Eves at Brentwood High Street. Great team great Estate Agent well done to them all and a huge thankyou!

GoogleI have recently taken up renting through Bairstow Eves, amazed by their excellent service. Appreciate they go through rigorous safety checks before letting which made me comfortable to move into the property. I have specifically interacted with Juliet Townsend, she was very nice and helped us go through the process smoothly.I would definitely recommend to others for a better experience.

I would advise everyone to avoid Bairstowe Eves Great Barr. We received very poor disorganised service in our case. It all started badly with them getting our property mixed up with another! It ended badly with it taking 5 months to sell to our very keen cash buyer. When this same property was purchased in 2003 it was all done in less than two and a half months, obviously Bairstowe was not involved.

Most expensive agent we had come to assess our property. Did the bare minimum at every step of the way and were not helpful in any way imaginable. Did not want to get involved in anything and we were left to do our own sales & purchase progression while paying a hefty premium for the privilege. My advice would be to avoid Bairstow Eves and use a cheaper agent, while you'll still have to do a lot of the legwork yourself, you'll save yourself thousands of pounds.

Moved out of a rented property 29/07/2024. Chased and chased for updates about my deposit being returned only to keep being informed we are awaiting details from the landlady. According to my tenancy agreement I should have been informed within 10 days of any ‘proposed’ deductions. 3 weeks on and no further forward. If I was in breech of the tenancy agreement they would be quick to act but when it’s the other side.. nothing!

GoogleDisgusted with the service, continuously contacted another contact instead of myself and changed two appointments without informing me. Now change my house valuation viewing a whole week later than originally planned without consulting myself, sat waiting at home for no one to show wasting my time.

One of worst letting agent , they don’t have any ethics, they just need money 💰, worst customer service, we got a flat for rent in worst condition, they gave without cleaning, used toilet didn’t even flush , really shame on them, when we gave a complaint they didn’t even apologise, and flat is also worst condition, it needs to refurbish but gave for rent. Full of oily kitchen, got shocked after seeing bathroom. Owner will not pick calls, this letting agent will not take responsibility, but they signed on behalf of owner on the agreement. But surely I will not leave them, I’ll post in every forums.

TrustpilotAdvertised flat for sale with a alloted…
Advertised flat for sale with a alloted parking space, then to be told I could only park my car in a very small space tight up against a wall, the space was smaller than my car, I don’t have a big car. I made it quite clear to Bairstow Eves that I only considered the flat as it had parking, not alloted small smart car only parking! The lies continued with this firm and they just repeat themselves like parrots. It has cost me 2.5k in fees and I have to pull out so a chain of 4 people before me are also going to be effected, I was literally at contract stage, the stress is unbearable that I and others are now going to suffer. I do NOT recommend this company, their tactic is also to say to the seller while you are there, oh don’t forget you have a viewing later and 2 further ones booked in! This is pressure selling and more than likely lies. The management guy that runs the upkeep of the building told me that if I couldn’t park there that I should have my licence taken away, change your car to a smart car! His rudeness continued until I was left in tears, the agent just stood by and did nothing! Avoid this company, they talk the talk but never follow through.

I don’t just make reviews unless I have to. But a family member has their house for sale with B&E. and quite frankly from what I keep hearing it’s not a very good service at all. I also did my own way of contacting as a perspective buyer. 5 times I made contact with the local branch and not once have made contact over the property I was enquiring about. It also concerns me that there is no main number to call them apart from the local branches which if they are not providing a good service it will be there word against yours over any complaints to head office. So they have eliminated anyway of taking an issue higher than the branch. Which you need to ask do you want sell or buy a house from this organisation ? Also my family member had their house reduced without any written confirmation of them taking this action. So it would appear they can do pretty much what they like in terms of when it suits them rather than what suits there customers.
