zero care, zero professionalism

Our offer was accepted in March, and we only completed eight months later, an unacceptably long delay caused entirely by Gibbs Gillespie’s failure to do their job properly. Communication was consistently awful from start to finish. We were left in the dark, repeatedly chasing updates that never came, and every response we did receive was just another excuse. Many staff were rude and dismissive. No one seemed to care about us as buyers trying to navigate an already stressful process. There was no empathy, no professionalism, and no accountability. The situation worsened when they gave us the wrong keys on completion! They did not care at all, were completely unwilling to make it right, and we had to jump through endless hoops to resolve something that was entirely their mistake. As someone who works in property management, I understand how this process should work and this was the exact opposite. I’ve detailed all of their failings here, and when it is time to add a new property, my company will not touch Gibbs with a ten-foot pole. This whole experience was unnecessarily stressful, frustrating, and exhausting due to their total lack of accountability. If respect and professionalism matter to you, look elsewhere.

Lettings Consultant Ms. Oliwia Stobbe is excellent at her Job

I own a property in Hanwell that I rent out through Gibbs- Gillespie. Over thelast two years a few incidences have ocurred that have not been easy for me to deal with as I live in North Yorkshire. On each occassion these issues were dealt with by Ms. Oliwia Stobbe a Lettings Consultant. Ms. Stobbe is efficiency personified, On each occassion she kept to her word and provided me with all the help and assistance that I required. She is always friendly, pleasant and supportive always offering help if it is needed. She has certainly been a great help to me in sorting out tenancy issues and given her role at Gibbs-Gillespie I would have no reservations about recommending the company. Renting out a property is not always a straight forward matter but by using the services of Gibbs-Gillespie nd Ms. Stobbe in particular I have very little to worry about.

An Imaginative Solution to a Short Term Problem

I am in the process of trying to buy a property promoted by Gibbs Gillespie of Ealing Broadway. The service they provide is professional and supportive. As I was about to exchange contracts for the sale of my property in Cambridgeshire my buyer unexpectedly pulled out. I would like to thank Leah Veresammy, Ealing Branch Manager, for helping me find an interim solution. She contacted the person selling the property which, I desperately want purchase and set up a meeting between us. The outcome has been that I am now renting that property until my Cambridgeshire property is sold. I can't thank her enough for her prompt and imaginative action. Leah has also been in touch with estate agents in Cambridgeshire in an attempt to speed up the sale of my property.

Oliwia and Gabriele, one of a kind

If professionalism had a name, it would be Oliwia and Gabriele. From start to finish, they have been absolutely exceptional. They were always available to answer any questions, offer help whenever needed, and explain every step of the process with complete clarity. I always knew what was required, what to expect next, and felt fully supported throughout. They made what is usually a stressful experience incredibly smooth and straightforward. Finding a home and moving in has genuinely never been this easy, and that's saying something, I’ve rented through various letting agencies over the past 10 years. Leona was a massive help!

I spoke with Leona over the phone and then on emails where she clarified answers to our questions. Leona was a massive help assisting us with outstanding rent arrears, a breakdown of our invoices from our portal and also how the damages from our check out report can be claimed. If the claim is taken to an adjudicator, the damages are considered first, then the outstanding deposit second. We are however waiting to find out how much the charges are if we decide to take it to the Small Courts, once we find this figure out, then we will know whether it’s worth proceeding down this route or not. Without Leona’s help on this we would be unsure with our steps to take.
