DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANYDandara were dodgy from the start. They are a soulless company that just wants to maximise profit no matter the cost to buyers.Within a month of completing they pulled out, having wasted almost 3 months of everyone's time as well as potential costs. They notified us out of the blue that we had one week to exchange contracts?! Causing stress for everyone and didn't extend it.However, we were relieved in the end. We were persuaded by show room and were told that our property would be similar which it wasn't. We soon realised it was built on a flood plain and the room sizes for the price were very poor, in fact the whole house is too small and not worth the sales price. They even put it up by 10K after they pulled out. Their properties are by the numbers, maximise profit and we were worried about the quality with the attitude they had. Be cautious with them and check everything. Their sales people would say one thing and then a week later it would turn out to be not be true. For example, they advised we go with "their" solicitors as it would stop Dandara pulling out. Their solicitors (PLS) were worse than them!! Again another by the numbers, soulless company, that gave us the worst experience with a solicitors ever! Rude and unhelpful, they just forwarded emails from the parties involved. In the week where we had to exchange contracts, I told PLS that we only went with them as the sales person had said it would take away the risk of this exact situation and they said that Dandara should never had said that and it wasn't true!Would not recommend.

Our next home

We have waited patiently for the Grange at Aberdeen to release their latest part of the development. Alanna has kept us informed through allowing us to be able to reserve our preferred plot. Even though there is no show house for our style and we are buying off plan we have been given as much advise and information and the girls have always answered my barrage of questions. A Professional friendly service provided throughout and highly recommend Dandara for their sales and quality of homes and finishes

Great Service - Dandara, Eskbank

From reservation to completion, the team at Eskbank, Jacqueline and Lauren, were fantastic. All our questions were answered and we were provided with regular build progress updates. The site team have also been brilliant with us, with regular visits from site managers to ensure our move is going as smoothly as possible as we settle into our new home. Thanks Dandara, very much appreciated.

Rude sales agent

I visited the dandara show home at shawfair, midlothian today. The sales advisor could not have been more rude. She cut me off with a snippy answer every time i asked a question. I had visited straight from work so wasn't in my best clothes but my money is as good as anybody else's. My daughter already bought a house in the same development from the previous agent (leigh) and gave 5 stars as she was so lovely and helpful. Pity she wasn't still on that site.

Dandara is a good, honest, reliable and trustworthy company. Nothing is concealed , and if there is room for clarification they will always come forward to assist, with no hidden agendas . Lovely visit!

Lovely visit!I visited St Michaels Park over the weekend and well, it is stunning. What a great sales team you have over there, very informative and welcoming. Me and my partner were first interested in the Upnor house type but have unfortunately missed out as they are all reserved, and I'm not surprised! Lovely layout on a beautiful site, but I was just too late. Wish the team all the best and everyone who purchases on the site as it just looks wonderful. I will definitely keep my eye out for more dandara developments in the area!

From the first correspondence with the sales team they have been extremely helpful and informative. We initially showed some interest in the Saxon park site where we spoke with Rebecca and Jade. They were very informative and happy for us to look around another site they were currently developing. We showed some interest in a few properties and as soon as they were released we were contacted as promised, this allowed us to reserve the plot we really wanted. Once we reserved our property we have received regular communication with updates on the progress of the build. We have been really happy with the service so far and would highly recommend them as a developer.

Today I received my washer in my new Dandara Ashgrove home in Loanhead. Dandara assistant site manager Aaron and his colleague Michal helped install my washer. They are very professional and kind. Aaron also called his colleague Craig to check my heater etc. I couldn't find a way to thank them as they didn't even accept a house drink. So I am writing this review to appreciate their help and thank these wonderful Dandara staff!

Sycamores BearstedDream home turning into a nightmare!The reviews on this website regards Dandara pretty much says how good Dandara is before you purchase the property, which is true. But this is only because they want your business. This review is about the service we have received after purchase, and I can simply say it is disgusting and shameful for a reputable company like Dandara.We bought our home at the sycamores development in Bearsted at the end of November last year, we have a couple of major issues with the property. We can't go into much detail as they could potentially lead to legal proceedings. But the issues we have should have been picked up on the inspection of the property before we purchased it. Also after speaking to other residents they to are also experiencing the same issues as us and are having the same response from Dandara When we purchased the property we were told that we had 7 days to report snagging and the site team would deal within 14 days and we would then be passed on to the customer care team who will look after us for the next 2 years, which we thought was a good service. We fully expect there to be snagging on a new build property but not to the extent where you can't use a room for weeks on end. Our 7/14 day snagging list has still not been completed. We have contacted the site throughout this process. At first he was ok and helpful, now he says he will sort it or just ignores any contact we have with him. The only time he contacted me was to moan that we never filled in a survey he sent me and that he could not transfer to customer care until we filled it out. When I did fill in this survey he still never transferred me over to customer care! We were transferred to customer care after I contacted them as the site manager ignored our report of further issues. The customer care team are just a waste of time. I have emailed them numerous times over the last 10 days to which we get no response(even though it says we will respond in 5 working days!). Most of the time I am getting tradesmen to come to my house by speaking to them as they are working at other properties on the development.We paid 600k plus for our property and don't expect to have the major problems we are experiencing, people work hard throughout lives to pay for their homes, and this lack of respect for that by Dandara is simply not good enough. Every resident I have spoken to so far on the development is experiencing issues. It seems to me that Dandaras' response is to bury their head in the sand and hope the issues go away. It is safe to say I will not be recommending people to buy their homes !
