The services rendered by Whitegates not only fall of decent standards but are shockingly inept and ineffective. This covers dealings with serious issues persisting over years where water leaks throughout the buildings are evident and causing damage, not to mention the questions over its health and safety impact for residents when soil pipes through the building have to be completely changed after more than 3 years of leakage. As part of tenancy agreements, is the repair of basic utilities within reasonable period. It is surprising that such "reasonable periods" for basic things such as washing machines appear to take more than 4 weeks of deliberations when the problem was identified on the first visit. There are contractual obligations which have been seriously infringed. Such practices often result in businesses underperforming and eventually the agency ceases to exist. Customer satisfaction in business is key and Whitegates is no where near achieving a satisfactory level.
Dear Prof. RN, I thought you would have removed this comment after we had discussed the matter at length at the time. As I said at the time it was a bit disappointing to read when you have rented through us for 4 years and 10 months and had not bought any matter to my attention. As you are now aware we at Whitegates can not generally take on matters that are issues with the whole block. This was a build fault dating back to 2005. The developer had gone bust, and the block management were attempting to involve the NHBC style insurer. As you are also aware that I became a Director of the Management Co. and through the latter 3 months of last years the full remedial works were completed and a cost of over £120,000. Stonegate House is now highly regarded locally and the intermittent problems are now thankfully a thing of the past. I do hope life is treating you well in Scotland. Regards Ian

GoogleExtremely poor customer service. Had to contact them several times just to get the application form after the viewing. No follow up or feedback of any sort after sending the application. The office is closed due to covid reasons therefore only calls can be made. Extremely inefficient in every aspect, would not recommend at all. Would give 0 stars if that was an option.

Whitegates have managed our apartment for 19 years, letting the property during the good times and the more difficult times. They have always been competent and professional and at all times kept us informed . We decided to sell about 2 years ago and Whitegates handled the sale for us in a manner I can only describe as excellent. The sale was lengthy and complex, and throughout Whitegates remained upbeat and encouraging and managed to keep the purchaser on board during the drawn out process. I can totally recommend Whitegates with a special mention for Gail. Thank you all.

I have been letting my property with Whitegates Bradford for over 4 years now and have just received the most recent inspection report, complete with photographs. The house is clearly being well maintained and if anything looks better than when it was first let. I put this down to the experience and efforts made initially by the staff at Whitgates who interviewed and thoroughly checked out the many applicants who viewed the property.

Our life is always made easier with good landlords, who authorise repairs quickly, when necessary, and seek to keep their property to a high standard. GoogleWouldn’t rate these agents one star if that was an option. May issues with property reported promptly to them and either not actioned at all or after a very long period of time. What an awful experience as a tenant. The lettings staff were problematic to deal with throughout and the whole experience in dealing with them was utterly awful.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism

GoogleI bought a buy-to-let flat in 2007 and sold it in February 2024. Whitegates Bradford acted as the letting agent throughout and also as the selling agent. I have found them to be efficient, reliable, approachable and easy to deal with and have no hesitation in recommending them.

My experience with Whitegates has been extremely frustrating. Despite confirming in writing that a specific charge would not apply, I was repeatedly reminded about it for a service that was never provided. This inconsistency has undermined my trust in their processes.

GoogleRang up to discuss a viewing. Woman was polite on the phone. Gave details to arrange a viewing. Waited over 2 weeks, not heard anything back. Been over a month and now the property has been sold, not even an email or a phone call back. Joke.

Purchased a property and I believe the fantastic person that dealt with the services was Kay or Gemma I cannot recall as it's going back 8 years ago. Gail wood and Max oakland have been so brillaint and terrific at there job , they handled eveything so professionaly and efficeintly . They also have very friendly service all throughout . Eveytime i called them to ask questions they were always very prepared to answer my phone calls and questions with a friendly and lovely mannner .They are very happy going people . I much appreictae everything that they have done for me from start to finish . I would reccomned them to everybody because they are so brillinat and peofessional at their jobs . Hey Paul, Thanks for the review, I think. Mistake/problem, what mistake/problem?! Mere bumps in the road, my friend. All part of job. Unless you mean the adjacent farmers field with a drainage problem. I leant you my rods, above and beyond if you ask me.
