Professional non judgmental and excellent

I can’t explain how much of a difference WDH has made to my life. The house they provided is beautiful, they are there to fix any issues in a professional way and are speedy to resolve issues. I don’t understand the one star reviews as I’ve got nothing but praise for WDH. They treat people fairly and are non judgmental about peoples circumstances. They offer so much more than housing, they help with other social needs too. I’ve been in a WDH home for over two years, I love the house and I love WDH for their help and support and the very fair and professional manner they treat me with. I feel they respect me. Would i recommend WDH then absolutely I would.

ONE BIG JOKE !!

This housing association is one big joke . And as for choice it isn’t a choice based lettings as I’ve looked choice based lettings up and read about it and why it was brought in and it was actually brought in to give people the choice in what properties they wanted and where ! Wdh do not work like this as basically some of us are wasting our time even bidding because where shoved to one side and totally ignored while people who are well known ie family and close friends are prioritised and given whatever housing they want in no time at all … wdh must actually love to see people suffer and get satisfaction from it because this is basically what they do they leave people who are in need of housing to suffer and people who move left right and centre get to move anytime they want to and it’s actually true I know a few that have moved every 6 months and not because they need to it’s because they want to or their bored of their house their in so housing needs are not looked at or even considered whatsoever it’s downright disgusting what wdh do to people but they won’t like it later down the line when they need help I hope I’m one of them that they come to because I’ll give them the same answer they gave me (IGNORANCE)

Run away

I am sure some of the lovely folk on here would like to have an update since my last review. I finally have managed to speak to one of the big bosses via LinkedIn. It started off great he was on my side he was upset just like I am with the lack of communication the lack of care the fact that was suffering with nightmare neighbours et cetera he said he would investigate but he just comes back to me and says that I need to contact the person I’m already dealing with, okay but the reason I contacted you was because the person I was dealing with in the first place wasn’t doing anything to help so I went higher up to management., yet you’re sending me back down to just a regular member of staff. So basically long story short it doesn’t matter if you work with the regular members of staff customer service on the phone which by the way a lot of them on the phone are quite rude and abrupt or whether you deal with management or whether you deal with one of the big bosses (like I finally got in touch with) they all are exactly the same they all sing off the same hymn sheet and don’t give a 💩, about anything other than getting money from you I’ve said it before &I say it again. I will sing it until my last breath stay away. Look elsewhere. I do not recommend. Do not take any shared ownership property not just with this company but any company you don’t have the rights you think you do. You don’t have the power or the freedom you think you do and if you ever want to do anything to your property, you need to ask permission, and on top of needing permission, you have to pay £35 every time and put in a silly little request form but the renters get away with anything and everything and that’s just highly unfair. Don’t even get me started on trying to sell the property that’s gonna be a nightmare too apparently they don’t tell you this but when you read it in the binder you’re given we as the “tenants”/“owners” are responsible for paying the solicitors fee for ourselves and for WDH cheeky much ?! Not only that but they try to get half of the cost of the valuation when you sell. which I know I’ve probably said before in previous reviews but I’m gonna keep saying it and I’m gonna keep going on about it cause I need the people considering getting one of these properties to know the truth

Wdh are a shoddy company they persicute people with mental health and they wanted to evict me saying I had antisocial behaviour against my next door neighbour it was the other way round she kept phoning wdh and police on me and my fiance over stupid things like windows and doors opening and closing washing machine and tumble dryer going and making lies to police saying my fiance beat me up I'm not paying the monies they reckon I owe for not giving one month's notice to leave the property they wanted me out so I left.

Only in desperation should you go to them!

Only in desperation should you have anything to do with these people. They are not landlords, they follow their own rules. No landlord would get away with what they do. They put you in dirty, damp, rotten homes for a small reduction in rent. It really isn't worth it. If you are worried about benefits and how you will pay a private landlord, well, many landlords will now accept people on benefits, so, I would just go to them. WDH are possibly the worse company out there.

Shocking.

Well guys you know the hard working tenants of wdh have to pay out of their pockets if anything needs maintaining. We'll we've just arrived on the street to find one of the tenant. That some would call a drip to society having new windows fitted. Even though one of our neighbour reported the situation to wdh about the tenant giving our area a bad name. Some will have tenants like this living near . Them kind of tenants that have no respect for them living around them. Curtains closed all the time because they've something to hide. So due to the curtains closed all the time there's been a build up of condensation around the windows , mould growing on the curtains due to heating on so the windows can't breathe which was reported because it was giving the streer a bad look. Alot of walkers use this route on a weekend. And many have said how lovely the area is where we live. And we want it to stay that way too. But wont with tenants like this. But really its inflicted by self neglect of the property so why should tenants like this get away with not paying out for the damage. ? It was reported many weeks back about the tenant by one of the neighbours sick of looking over at the property. So this is the reason for the 1 star . Because decent pillars of wdh community ie tenants of wdh don't get nowhere into days society we just get pushed aside.. You've to be a complete tool or scum to get anywhere well that's how it feels to many of us.

Well where do I start?

Well where do I start?Been an ongoing battle for long enough now. A couple of the tenants for WDH make the place where I live a SH@*t hole. They pile up rubbish in the garden and fly tip over the wall and up against my house. They have damaged my house on more then one occasion. Several times in fact. Fires and parties at all times of the day. Sure living on benefits you can live it up every weekend at the cost of the guy who is trying to sleep and pay tax so they can have a party.Every time I try to ring the right people I get promised call backs? Something tells me I am been avoided. Sure I would love to take WDH to court for running my house price down. I have tried to sell the property before because I am fed up of my property been trashed by people who don't care. This is because they know their isn't any consequences. Maybe if the landlord actually cared! That would be a great help. Time for a change on unruly tenants and landlords.Sort it out !

Wdh used to be good to respond to request for repairs. We have waited approx 5months for a repair to a leaking roof.,but my latest bugbear is HOW can they run s scheme asking for people to be proud of their locality, and then send out contractors to cut your hedge and leave it in such a mess. Fortunately, on request, their manager came out to look at it and agreed. He had it rectified. WHY CANT THEY DO IT RIGHT TO START WITH. WDH YOU ARE REALLY FAILING IN YOUR STANDARDS.

Utterly Disgusted

My grandma passed away on the 5th of October. After the initial shock, and waiting to receive a death certificate, we were able to notify the council of her passing. They gave us an ‘ideal date’ of a weeks time to remove everything from her house and hand back the keys. They even sent an email chasing up the keys, and sent someone out to take a photograph of the house in preparation to put it straight back up on wdh. Obviously it’s understanding that there is still a job to do, but surely there is a duty of care and consideration that should go alongside in this situation. She had lived there 28 years. How they expect anyone to be able to grieve and work through half a life’s worth of belongings in such little time with very little consideration of feelings is beyond me. If anything it felt completely disrespectful to her life, as if she was nothing more than just a number. When in reality she was a well loved woman in her community, and overall a great tenant. My mum handed the keys back on the Saturday at 11am, by 2pm she had gone to collect the last of her belongings she had, which had been left in the garden. Only to find that the locks had already been changed and the gate leading to the back garden had been ripped off due to the locks that were on it, even though they had the keys necessary to open it. I am absolutely astonished and to be honest quite hurt by it all. I know for a fact that if this was how it was handled for your own family member, you would be disgusted too.
