We bought our property through Goadsby and from start to finish Colin was extremely helpful, very professional and communication was great. Just prior to exchange, our solicitors license was suspended by the Solicitors Regulatory Authority and we had to find a new solicitor. Colin communicated with all the solicitors, other estate angents and his client to help manage what was an unprecedented situation. Post purchase Colin has also helped resolve a few issues we have come across. Thank you Colin for all your help with what was a very challenging case.

They get the one star because they were entirely inoffensive during my actual tenancy. Unfortunately, three years after I move out they forward me a final warning (due the day of the email being sent!) from a debt collection agent, addressed to them, apparently from a bill due from my time in the house they rented me. I switched from this company immediately on moving in. They have clearly received multiple letters over the last few years, and have only chosen to contact me now that there's a final warning, and the cost of the debt has risen even more. They then have the absolute brass balls to tell me that there has never been any other correspondence about this, and that they have no idea where the multiple letters from the energy company and then the earlier letters from the debt collection agency which clearly precede a final warning could have been sent. Their complaints managed has since admitted to me that they have no record of any other correspondence about this at all. Best case: this is a group of utter incompetents, unable to manage a task with as many steps as reading a letter and then sending an email. Worst case: they have been caught with their pants down and are aware that they've failed to forward anything about this, and are now lying through their teeth to attempt to shift responsibility. Either way, on balance I can't honestly say I would recommend them unless you enjoy surprise bills, long circular conversations, and a total lack of any kind of accountability. If you were a dodgy landlord just looking to have someone manage your property and gouge your tenants though, these could be exactly the estate agents you're looking for.

Patient and professional - Flat purchase

I bought a flat through Goadsby , Weymouth. Both solicitors were an absolute nightmare, taking ages to do things or even refusing to act on time. I had never bought a leasehold property and was guided by them all the way. Mark Godfree managed me, the vendor and the solicitors with dogged persistence, patience and courtesy, even when emotions ran high. I wasn't even the client, but was kept informed daily towards the end. If I have to sell my home I will definitely go to the Goadsby team.

Isabelle has been helping me find the perfect first flat to move into in Bournemouth. She has been very accommodating, professional and easy to work with. She got a clear understanding of what property I was looking for and worked hard to find properties that I would be interested in. Great communication between her, myself and my parents. A very caring nurture and easy to talk to, she made me feel very comfortable! Isabelle took extra care into checking my mother was also comfortable with the properties we were looking at when it came to price, location etc. The process so far has been very smooth and hassle free. Goadsby At Ferndown - Worst expetience when you end contract

The company is not friendly and their job end the moment tenancy agreement is signed. No collaboration or support. Especially the Ferndown branch! Never go them. There is no patience to listen to a problem statement and always delayed response. I have formally written to Deposit Scheme to get my deposit back while the assocaites just push back on every request to even get the least of information! Never go to them if you want peaceful life within or life after tenancy in gettin own money back or have an idea about the end!

Use an alternative agent if you want to sell your property in Bournemouth

A very disappointing experience I'm afraid and I would not recommend Goadsby if you are looking to sell your property in Bournemouth. There was very little engagement, enthusiasm, pro-activity or feedback from day one. A very small number of viewings and no effort to keep me updated on viewings or discussions with potential buyers. One offer was accepted but Goadbsy never demonstrated any commitment to progressing the sale, resolving the key issues or addressing any of the enquiries that were raised by the potential buyers. This meant a lost sale and a £2,000 solicitors fee. Any discussions with my contacts at Goadsby always focused on the easy option of quick price reductions as opposed to marketing opportunities they could put in place to drive viewings and footfall. Additional and improved photographs were discussed but again took 3 weeks to implement. Too many lost opportunities at a time when challenging conditions require a pro-active, knowledgeable and determined agent. I'm more than happy to discuss this feedback with anybody from the Goadbsy senior management team in more detail if they would like to call me but I doubt this will happen. Most definitely not to be recommended. Find another agent.

We have been a tenant with goadsby for a few years and up until recently were ok but on leaving our property early at the landlord’s request we did so at great expense to ourselves !the landlord aided by goadsby have since tried to keep most of my deposit as well for fictitious repairs and to add insult to injury they promised me and I have emails to prove this I would have the undisputed part of my deposit back today and guess what I’ve not got it they are rude do not understand the law or promises made so avoid very very poor
