Aneeka in Sale, Manchester.

Aneeka in Sale was very helpful, welcoming, and knowledgable during our appointment yesterday. She arrived promptly, and was passionate in ensuring great customer service was provided, including assisting us with measurements.

Just over a year dealing with house sale, took 4 buyers to achieve each pulling out for various reasons. Very patient and communicative throughout whole process. Staff always very professional and helpful. Would recommend Cheadle Hulme branch.

Unanswered calls and emails

Unanswered calls and emails. Misleading and wrong information in terms of when a tenant was moving then constant attempts to ignore my instructions in order to extract more money. Terrible service avoid if you can.

Unpleasant experience in First Call

Looking at the other reviews seems to be a consistent theme with Manchester branch.I spoke with your staff member (Mrs Flynn) from the Manchester City Centre branch about Flat 11, 53 Whitworth Street, M1 3WS property (link below) and found them quite aggressive to the point where I had to disconnect the call.I viewed the property on Friday, 25th August and had the follow-up call with another team member (Mr Stanton) from a different office who was exceptionally helpful and advised me to email/speak with the concerned member about the offer. Following an email, I spoke with Lydia on Tuesday, 29th August. I pointed out that properties with an EPC rating of D or above would need reviewing post-2024 as per government guidelines for listed buildings. I own another property nearby in a Grade 2 building. The staff member disagreed which is not a problem but their tone of voice was aggressive. Following this, I pointed out that the water heater in the flat was broken for a long time and we couldn't see an electrical certificate - she didn't want to pursue the conversation as apparently the 'tenant did not report it'.I was planning to put in a counteroffer but will now be backing out as do not want to deal with the person and consequentially Bridgefords.Hope this can help improve their future processes.

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional service and efficiency in handling the rental procedures for my new accommodation. I truly appreciate the efforts made by you and your team to ensure a smooth process, despite the complexities involved in my case. As a non-British citizen transitioning from being a student, I was very concerned that the rental process might be challenging and time-consuming. However, you went above and beyond to guide me through the necessary steps and paperwork, making the entire process seamless and stress-free. Once again, thank you for making this crucial transition in my life so smooth and hassle-free.

Leeds branch

Leeds branch, absolutely awful, unprofessional, unethical. I could go on. They should be ashamed of the callous way they treated my daughter and her partner. Credit check complete, told they could move in today. They hired a van and packed all belongings including furniture and pets. On the way up the motorway they were told there might be a problem. Things unfolded, numerous phone calls and eventually they were told the landlord wasn't happy to rent to them any more. They were left with a rental van which had to go back to London, a mountain of belongs and pets, but nowhere to put it all, I can't concieve of treating a fellow human being in this way. Don't use this agent

Happy to waste your time

Awful experience. It started with receiving numerous phone calls despite being informed that I was unavailable that day. My original viewing had been rearranged without my consent or informing me, to a day that I had stated I was unavailable. Resulting in no estate agent showing up to my originally scheduled viewing. When phoned to find out what was happening the estate agent rearranged to later that day, to which they didn't show up again because they had miss placed the keys to the property, resulting in wasting 3 hours of my day off, and untold worry to the sellers. Absolutely disgraceful service, with no respect for their clients time or property.

Avoid this company at all costs

This estate agents are the worst I have ever dealt with. I have had a deposit issue with them since 2022 and this has remained unresolved because the branch manager is very unhelpful, obnoxious and rude. She doesn’t have the word assist or help in her vocabulary. I have had several conversations with her via email but somehow on my recent contact she has sent a reply citing confidentiality. Yet she has sent emails with personal information and details previously. After that she commands you to call the office phone which is never answered.

Neglecting tenants, unprofessional with AWFUL communication

AVOID AVOID AVOID1 star because it's not possible to give 0. I have never experienced such unprofessionalism in my life. *edit 2 years later in 2023 - still dealing with this issue.*- We were given an uninhabitable property to live in. (An emergency issue took over 30 days to be fixed causing a hazard to health and the property)- Out of around 8 issues logged on the portal, only 2 were fixed... one of them taking over a month.- Countless emails sent, to which we waited days and sometimes up to 2 weeks for a useless response, passed around from person to person, no one had any idea what they were doing.- We resulted in ending the tenancy early due to a breach of contract from the estate agents/landlord side.- We moved out of the property over a month ago and we have had no contact since. We are unable to get in touch with them.- We have not heard anything about our deposit being returned.I could honestly go on for a short book's length, but it gets too in-depth for a review platform. My simple advice is to save yourself the hassle.*This is my personal experience with the Middlesbrough Branch*

The worst experience I have ever had…

The worst experience I have ever had with an agency. They are rude and not professional. They pretended to have the money via call before I even received a proper contract for the flat. Then, they told me to get the keys and find the flat by myself. They did not even show me where the flat is. I will avoid to have deals with them in the future.

Avoid this agency by all means

Avoid this agency by all means. They attract landlords who will lie to you about the history of the property and it’s current state (mine was infested with massive rats which the landlord claim to know nothing about until I called exterminators who found evidence from a different extermination team)The staff will make promises to you and not fulfil them ( I agreed to take a contract pending they would clean the property, however it was inhabitable for 3 days before the landlord arrived to clean. Agency promised to refund those three days but choose to ignore this state 6 months down the line and this cost me money as the tenant.I have never written a review in my life and I’ve rented for 10+ now and I have experience a lot. I would never recommend this agency even to my worse enemy.

Beware

Beware! If you are a first time buyer bridgfords Stalybridge will not let you buy a property unless they do a mortgage through them, they are not interested in anything other than selling you a mortgage and the rates they offer are rubbish, they just offer the one which pays them the most comission! They are also rude and ignore calls and emails AVOID

DO NOT USE THESE!!!!

DO NOT USE THESE!!!!The worst estate agents ever. If you’re considering them, do not do it. So at the end of October i needed to move out. So i found a flat, viewed it, applied, got accepted. So obviously i handed in my notice at my current housing. I requested to send my boyfriend to pick the keys up as i was in work until 6pm. Double, tripple checked if they needed any confirmation for him to collect them. Was advised they needed nothing as they would recognise him from the viewing. At the point of the keys being handed over they told my boyfriend he had to sign on my behalf… As the estate agent walked my boyfriend up the stairs of the flat she advised him that some pidgeons had broken in and pood all over the floor. Baring in mind at this point, i’d spoken to her on that day and paid over £1000 to their company. It is just me on the agreement so it’s a breach of DPA that they advised my partner that and not me on the call where i paid them money. I asked to get keys early so i could move in my stuff. So with the bird poo all over the floor i did ask how they expected me to move my furniture over that. After confronting the company about advising my partner to sign my name i was advised WE should have known that was wrong. It took a week to sort this out, i have now had to find other housing as i had about 2.5/3 weeks until im a 19 year old homeless person… After displaying my annoyance to the company the rudely asked if i could live at my parents or my boyfriends… I have finally managed to get keys for a new flat however now i only have 4 days until my tenancy runs out. Baring in mind i work 7:30am-6pm so now i’m having to rush everything in 4 days. Also, the day i picked up the keys i was told they didn’t have the key for the front door of the flat building which is by the car park. So now i’m left with 4 days to move my stuff in & no access to the building. I must admit, i do have a key to the other door on the building. however to get to that door you have to cross a bridge, go up and down some stairs therefore is the complete opposite of convenient. This estate agents is a joke and has only caused me stress. If i didn’t have limited time to leave my current property i would not be staying with them.

Absolutely disgusted with this place

Absolutely disgusted with this place. Went to rent a house. Discussed my situation my income everything I could I was upfront about. Was told I had the house and asked to pay a holding deposit and hand my notice in to my current landlord. House definitely ours. Had 2 guarantors which was all accepted by the landlord. Start packing my house have my current landlord accept my notice and put my house back on the market. 2 weeks later get told I can no longer have the house I failed credit check. They were told from day 1 I would fail hence the guarantors. Was told I came back bankrupt which is not true. Asked if I could do anything to prove this wasn't true. Was told doesnt matter you can't have the house. So no home to move into and a home I have to leave with 5 kids in tow. Disgusted with them. Oh and lose the holding deposit they said I needed to place after being told I was accepted. Literally left us with no home!!!!

As a buyer I received excellent support. Emails and phone enquiries always answered promptly. which is rare in modern Britain! In particular, Mat in the sales team went beyond what I expected in providing information about the property that I eventually bought.

Very professional agents. We purchased our property pre-auction which was simple to do. Great communication and updates throughout the 6 week process. Very friendly team and very happy to provide lots of information about the property, good liaison back and forth with the sellers. Slightly hefty buyers premium although we were offered a small reduction to complete sale pre-auction. Compared to other Auctioneers this was the only negative and affected what we felt we could offer for the property. Would consider using the company for sale of our current property.
