Tara has kept us up to date with regular contact and worked wonders with the help we needed showed us a mortgage advisor and solicitors that are just amazing there selves , I couldn't recommend strata and Tara enough. Strata - Definition

We found Strata back in August 2018 while searching for our first home around Derby area. Have visited and investigated quite a few new developments before that but nothing really tempted our hearts unlike Strata due to affordable offers and unique property designs inside out. Our house reservation and legal process progressed very swiftly and as first time buyers we were very happy with the support all around. Tara the customer experience manager at Definition have been very welcoming and supportive throughout the process and we cannot thank her enough. We are tracking house building process with severe excitement and looking forward to our dream home completion. So far it has been great and extended review to follow after move in date.

Fantastic Experience

I live on the Destiny Site and have had nothing but great experiences since starting my journey with Strata. From reserving a plot with Karen before the development even broke ground, watching our home built and speaking regularly with Ian and Billy and getting updates, all the way to moving in and dealing with Julie in the Sales Office and Ali in Customer Care we have had nothing short of exceptional customer care.The final finish in the home is incredible. Any slight issue that has arisen (as comes with any new build) the team are so quick and efficient at getting things sorted.

From the very first time I waked into the showroom at elegance Ackworth to my purchase last month I can say that I was blown away by Penny’s incredible customer service. She always made me feel as though I was her only customer even though she was always busy, always professional, informative and an amazing support. Penny has kept me up to date every step of the way and as a lone purchaser given me such useful help and advice. I run a national sales team and if my staff were even half as brilliant as Penny then I would be over the moon! I must also give well deserved credit to Richard the site manager, Dino and all the other Strata team who make it happen on site, they’ve been amazing. Moved into our new home at ambience 6…

Moved into our new home at ambience 6 weeks ago. From the begging Charlotte sales team couldn’t do enough for you very helpfull. Very pleased with the house few minor snags but these being resolved very quickly to fit around you, only a couple left to resolve. Tom site manager very helpfull and the workmen lovely. The only thing I would probably do again would be to get my own solicitor rather than stratas as I prefer to speak face to face rather than email or phone, and maybe the house could of been pointed up a bit better untidy cement on brickwork, So all in all great experience so far!

March 2018 saw my girlfriend and I take an interest in a development of new houses being built just round the corner from where we previously lived. Less then a year later we are both now in our newly built Paris home and we couldn’t be happier. The journey from then to now as been long but enjoyable one meeting all the staff that as helped us along the way including Esna Lee who as been with us every step of the way and as been fantastic in every way possible and made eveyrhing seem so simple and made our choice of buying an easy one. Strata homes are built to the highest quality and upon visiting many show homes around Yorkshire we were both very impressed with what we saw. Now fully living in our new home we are settled and happy with everything that as been done and continues to be done to make this experience an unforgettable one.

Our advice to others is to read through…

Our advice to others is to read through all of the reviews and then decide. Please note the majority of the good reviews refer to the buying experience which is excellent, there is no doubt of that. Read the bad reviews which primarily refer to the experience after purchasing a Strata home. Our experience whilst buying was also 5 star. Our experience once in the property is poor. The build standard both outside and inside is poor. After care is poor unless you persist and suggest referring the problems to a higher authority or threaten to let the media know how bad the Strata experience really is. The company is getting too big and sadly too greedy. Big issues are not put right. So when deciding whether to buy a Strata home think do you want a great sales experience or a great sales experience and a great aftercare experience. We’ve done our research the comments made by unsatisfied customers are very real indeed.

I've just moved in to a Roses at Temptation, Burton-on-Trent. From the minute I've walked in to the show home me and my two daughters instantly fell in love with the house. We've had a good look round at different houses in the area but nothing compared, so we've ended up buying it! Me and my daughters loved working with Zoe who's a part of the sales team, she really helped us out and went the extra mile to make sure we are happy with the house, and made us feel very welcome. I would definitely recommend working with her!

We have just moved into a Madrid at Temptation, Burton-on-Trent. We originally went round a few show homes in our area looking for decorating ideas but really loved the layout and quality of the Strata development so much we ended up buying one! We went with assisted sale to begin with which was really easy and then we were worried about losing our plot so went with part exchange -both of these were hassle free and when you took into account our new home came with fitted carpets/flooring and fitted kitchen appliances we felt we got a competitive price for our old home.The Strata sales team were very friendly, helpful without being pushy. They never got tired of us keep dropping in wanting to look at the house.We moved in on 20th December and were given a full tour of the house and how everything works. Our previous home was a new build and we had a massive list of things that needed doing but our new Strata home is fantastic. We are very impressed with the quality of the joinery, kitchen layout, flooring, bathroom fitting. It is just a really good over all quality.I can't comment on the after sale care yet as we haven't had to use it, which is the only reason I have give 4/5 rather than 5/5.

My Strata Definition Experience

Brought a house from Strata and two things really stood out. First - the sales rep [Tara] was so helpful, polite and professional I was really happy with the service and support as a first-time buyer.Second - as it's my first house and I'm rubbish at DIY and all that stuff, I paid £400 to 'New Home Inspection' for a snagging inspector to come round and check the place out. He actually told me it was the best Strata home he's been in his 15 years! He said it was actually pretty good and he was impressed.That's a testament to the site manager [Ryan] who has gone above and beyond in every aspect to make me feel at home and also has helped with several snags [including building me a ramp for the drive because my cars too low - LOL] He's a top guy and I couldn't recommend Strata [Definition] enough.Very happy customer here and I would recommend them to any of y friends and family.

Can’t even repair the streetlight!

I have first contacted them at the middle of October 2018 asking if they could sort our streetlights as none were working! I have a little girl and it is very dangerous now is dark so early! I had then been advised that council should do that. Got in touch with council and the site hadn’t been passed over to them so it is up to Strata to fix it. Since then the light is still not working!!!! And there is no contact with Strata since 17.12.18!!!!! The amount of emails I had sent and phone calls I made is unacceptable and no one takes any responsibility and is not interested!!! Absolute disgrace and irresponsibility!!!!

After being in the house in balby…

After being in the house in balby Doncaster dominion site since febuary18, we have had over 30 issues, bought a stock plot which as we found out was not signed off and day after moving in had major leaks on all plumbed appliances, had water pipe over socket, had no insulation on ensuite pipes, had not enough legs on shower base, not sealed, had to have pTio doors replaced had been fitted bDly and had over 17 dril holes in, fitted wrong style doors, then room carpet too small, did get carpet money back, just had a badly fitted front door replaced after waiting 6 months, and it was warped, had kitchen door cupboards changed had 8 chipped, new worktops due to stevie wonder fitted, every week on phone for something had house acid washed, rendered in parts again and nails sticking out of garden fence, patio re laid sunk garden, windows mended, glossing not right, we ended up buying the worst house on the estate, this week have been told my boundary line will not be put right and have tried to fob me off saying boundary is OK, I now have to take legal action, I've had many staff members out to look at the house, I am still perusing to get to speak to the director, as many other things I have not mentioned, need to be addressed, I would say never again they have never been a 5 star builder,

Tarmac needs repairing!

After only a few months of giving strata a 5* review this has now changed. After giving everything to the site we’re on, and now we feel like after all we’ve done we’re nothing now they have our money. Our drive has a big hole in, which I nearly tripped over with our newborn baby, and has tyre marks where my car sunk in it, and you still won’t redo it! Although you’ve redone a few on the estate. We paid for a external company to check our drive who said it needs to be replaced as wasn’t laid down correctly and still you won’t sort it.

Happy experience with my new home from Strata

I am a 1st time buyer so I was anxious about buying my new home , I felt supported and relaxed with Strata choices that suit every budget.I found nice offers in Strata to include kitchen appliances and built in wardrobes.I got step by step update from sales team after my reservation , I am glad with support with legal things as this was the last thing I had time to.I was emailed with every step in building my home with site visits and getting images that I saved. I would like to thanks much Tara for her great support , she is really helpful and patient in all steps.I was offered a good range of choices from individualizing my home , including bathrooms tiles, kitchen units and tiles, liked quality of doors inside my house , handles and tapes mixtures and showers.In Final stages , I started to get support from engineering team who supported us in finding facts about our new home in a nice home demonstration by Ryan. Ryan supported us in all details in this stressful stage when you move with a whole family including children. We can ring him and he responds promptly all times with great help. Now I have been in my new home for 2 weeks , feeling relaxed as have support from Strata (Tara and Ryan) when I need which makes much difference.I hope everyone a smooth happy experience of buying a new home which is a life changing one.

Take your money and then leave the development a mess. No roads surfaced. Parking spaces appearing outside people's homes, broken promises time and time again only to be fobbed off blaming other companies. Our local MP has now had to get involved and raise this in parliament. Beware of this house builder.

We bought a strata house at their site in Featherstone, West Yorkshire 3 years ago. The house, initially, looked great I have to say however things soon started going wrong: The oven hob has broken 3 times and had to be replaced. The patio doors stopped locking due to the house settling.The paint on the walls and ceiling has begun to go mouldy.The paint around door frames and corners consistently cracks after several touch ups.The small bedroom window won't close properly (only discovered this recently as we never used the bedroom for the first few years).The shower wasn't fitted properly and has leaked causing damp lines in our kitchen ceiling.All the doors had to be sanded down to fit due to house settling.The door handles are all now becoming stiff or falling off the doors.The latch for the front door has come off twice.The peep hole in the door keeps falling off.This is just a few of the litany of issues we have had with the house. After the 2 year mark, Strata don't want to know. Save yourselves some money and trouble and don't bother.It is telling that Strata only reply to the good reviews on here without addressing the faults that people have. A company only gets better by addressing issues that customers have with their product. Not by basking in the glow of customer compliments.

Ambience Development Strata Homes.

We started looking at the Ambience site for Strata in Linton around November and instantly fell in love with the show homes in which they have one being the 'Copenhagen' which i remember walking around and looking at the standard of finish and saying to my Fiance that i would love to live in a house like this, as at the time we never thought we would be able to buy a house like it. After speaking to the sales adviser we found out that we actually could buy. Being within the construction industry myself there are not many developers in which i would buy my family home from, however the layout of the Strata house types are very spacious and the finish is to a very high standard. We have not been the easiest customers to deal with as we did the assisted sale through Strata, where the sale of our previous house fell through 4 times, Strata have been extremely patient and have not demanded anything from us which made us feel like we are valued as customers and not just after the money like a lot of other developers are. The team at the Part Ex Hub (Debbie and Melanie) have both been great and helped us along the way and have gave us lots of time to sell our house even though i can imagine their bosses have been screaming and shouting to get the sale across the line. We didn't get off to the greatest start with the sales advisers in which we were originally dealing with and I got to the point that i wanted to pull out the purchase, however Strata changed the sale advisers to a lady called Charlotte whom i cannot express enough how good she has been and how helpful she has been since we have been dealing with her she has completely turned the experience round. We had received regular updates on the progress of the build and regular communication just to keep us updated which from a buyers point of view is fantastic, she has also taken her work phone home on many occasions to help deal with us, which she didn't have to do. I would highly rate Charlotte as a Sales Adviser and is a credit to Strata Homes. Even after moving in to the house she is always waving and we feel like she is part of the family, so we will miss her when she has to move to her next site. The house is built to a very high standard and the Site Manager (Tom) has been great and popped round to the house a number of times since we have been in to make sure that we are settling in ok. Being in the industry i expected to pick up a fair amount of snags however I think there is a maximum of 6 which are items in which the site team would struggle to find without living in the house themselves. On speaking to the neighbours they also are impressed with the high standard of finish which given my experience is a true reflection of the quality of the Site Manager. Strata on a whole seem like a very dynamic company and very well organised. The solicitors they recommended (Taylor Bracewell) have been very easy to use in comparison to other solicitors i have used in the past i have seen on here a couple reviews of the Strata solicitors being poor but for us this definitely wasn't the case and the lady with dealt with (Emily) has been fantastic and i would highly recommend her, she managed to get our buyers solicitors to exchange quickly and made the process very straight forward for me, as i am extremely busy with work. In summary everyone I have dealt with (with the exception of the first sales advisers) has excelled our exceptions and have gone above and beyond, I would highly recommend Strata Ambience and Charlotte, Tom, Debbie and Melanie they have all contributed in getting us our forever home.

From the moment we walked into the…

From the moment we walked into the sales office we we're sold! Not only are the houses stunning, they are also very well built. After looking at many show homes Strata stood out from the rest!. From start to finish the service was amazing, from the sales team to the builders to the exceptional site manager, they made the journey perfect. We are nearly at the 2 year mark since moving in, we've had very few issues, realistically issues are expected when buying a new house but i think even this has impressed us. We have and will continue to recommend Strata to all of our friends and family.
