FacebookDidn’t have a good experience at all with this company. House was filthy when we moved in, still had food on the cooker hood from the deceased owner. Any repairs/work needed were done in a timely manner but as cheaply as possible. Staff were unhelpful, rude and no customer care skills at all. At the end of the tenancy we were told to put the keys through the shop door as no one met us to read meters, check state of house etc. Despite phone calls and emails to ask for confirmation that key was received and deposit would be refunded, ignored for 12 days.
Dorset Property has built a reputation over the last 35 years based on the excellence of service provided. We pride ourselves on the standard of our service and ‘To be the best at what we do’ is our maxim. This is not to say that we always get it right. We take complaints very seriously and try to learn from any mistakes we make. In this instance, following a review of the background to the complaint, we do not think the complaint is reasonable or justified. All procedures were followed correctly and the team in Weymouth refute, in the strongest terms, that they were rude or unhelpful. The tenant’s concerns were answered promptly, as were the landlord’s instructions on any repairs that were required. The house was professionally cleaned before the start of the tenancy but had become dusty as it had been empty for a few weeks beforehand. Professional cleaners were again employed to remedy this. The tenancy ended at midnight on Saturday 21st December 2019 so the tenant was asked to post the keys in readiness for a professional check out, which was booked for the Monday. The deposit was returned in full within the statutory 10 working day period.

Professional and Friendly. Don't believe everything you read, it appears some people try to take it out on the agent when they are unsuccessful in their application. My experience with Dorset Property has been great. From start to finish their team has been very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I would recommend them to any Tenant or Landlord alike!

Sue and I moved from Bedford ... into the unknown in deepest darkest Dorset, then we met Grace who lit up the possibilities and showed us a great property in sunny lovely Lydlinch. Grace absolutely made us feel at home and despite having not rented before, overcame every obstacle, from Bank References to Electoral Roll admin ... you know, all that stuff we hate to do. GoogleI have been a landlord now for 10 years plus with Dorset Property managing my property. Always efficient and professional but above all very friendly and personable. The move of the office out of Shaftesbury has not changed their management style. Elisha particularly who has recently taken over managing my property is excellent. Very forward thinking, a real problem solver before you knew there might be a problem! 10/10 from me.
