Avoid at all costs Youre lied to through the whole process If you’re selling a property you need to be in direct contact with your buyer and if you’re buying you need to be in direct contact with your seller to make sure you are selling for the same price your buyer is buying for and vice versa . He is NOT allowed by law to take deposits . Under no circumstances let him coerce you into to giving him money ! You won’t get it back . Had my buyer not got in contact with me I would NEVER have known he was selling my property for more than he was telling me and my buyer was buying for more than I was selling for . The deposit he took from her I knew nothing about but he’d written a letter to her saying as per agreed by the family and it certainly was not the case . This person needs stopping . I don’t know how many companies he’s had . Ignore the date in the review it wouldn’t let me change to the date of my experience

GoogleHaving had dealings with several estate agents over the years, I was extremely pleased with the service provided by "Spencers". They were one of the most helpful companies I have come across. In particular I would like to specifically thank Alana and Ruth of the Blaby office as they went over and above general service levels in helping my aged father who found everything a little overtaxing. They remained calm, caring and still efficient. Going out of their way to make the process as easy as possible for an old man. I can not speak for all branches, but would expect to find a similar service. Therefore would not hesitate to recommend this company.

I wouldn’t even give Spencer’s Syston or the actual overall company a 1 star! I had the worst experience buying a property. Lack of communication you have to keep chasing for updates. Lies about the property I brought. Took it to head office and even appealed and I got nothing apart of a rubbish apology! I will never deal with Spencer’s again.

GoogleSold my property through Spencer’s blaby recently a great service from all in the office, received regular updates from James and Lorna throughout the process. I also had a very informative meeting with the mortgage advisor Demi to help with my onwards purchase. Would recommend and use again

Over 2 years since i moved out still have not seen a penny of my deposit. Absolute thieves being incredibly rude over email, anyone working there should be ashamed at what they do to people. I will be taking legal action for far more than the original amount owed.

All the staff are helpful, friendly and determined to help my parents achieve the move they're after. GoogleIf you can help it, please avoid using Spencer’s to buy or sell a house. They caused us a lot of problems when buying our house. They admitted fault for various things that could have been prevented. And the estate agent assigned to our purchase had left during our purchasing process, not surprised at all. They have left a bad impression and I would think twice about using them. Perhaps it was just a bad member of staff and they may be perfect elsewhere but from my experience Avoid
