Intercounty Bishop’S Stortford have been outstanding, Doug whybrow that coordinated completing my sale was just excellent. My sale through no fault of Intercounty was very stressful. Doug and also the rest of the team especially krissy took on board I have serious health issues and was finding the sale very difficult. They were so reassuring, professional, so easy to talk to and took the time to explain everything clearly in a way I could easily understand. They responded to any phone call or email with impressive speed usually within a few hours not days like I have experienced with other agents. They took charge of the process when it was clear I was finding it challenging. When one of the team was unfortunately off sick for a couple of days another member of the team contacted me and ensured that my sale was progressing in their absence. I can not thank the Intercounty sales team enough for their support, excellent service and professionalism. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️+

Bishops Stortford Office Intercounty

We are in the process of finalising our house sale with Intercounty Bishops Stortford and they have been fantastic. Given the market at present, we were unsure how long it would take to sell, but thanks to them getting the right prospective buyers through the door, we had an offer we accepted on the second day the house was up for sale.I would like to make a special mention regarding James from the Stortford office. He has been professional, engaged, empathetic and a great communicator from start to finish.Altogether it has been an entirely positive experience and I would recommend Intercounty to anybody selling or buying a home.

Very disappointed with intercounty safety issues

Very disappointed with intercounty. In the process of leaving the property we discovered that the electrics have not been tested since 1992 with the recommendation that they were tested again in 1997 written on the box. When we informed Intercounty of this they stated that it is not a legal requirement to test the electrical safety of a property! However, it is a legal responsibility to check that the property is electrically safe. We also discovered that all electrics were kept on a wooden box which is of course a fire hazard not only to the property that we were renting but to surrounding properties! Intercounty don't seem to take the safety of their tenants very seriously which is disappointing especially when young children were living in the household. At the beginning of the tenancy we had just moved in with a new born baby, the property smelt of burning rubber. It took intercounty weeks to get anyone to come and look at it. As soon as they discovered that it was not carbon monoxide (which is odourless) they failed to bother with any further tests. It was down to us to get out environmental health. Prior to moving into the property it was infested with moths which intercounty failed to disclose. We spoke multiple times to them and they failed to do anything about it. The moths destroyed numerous items of our clothing and soft furnishings despite our best attempts to get rid of them. Upon leaving the property intercounty are expecting us to pay for the damage caused by the moths to the carpets! They have no trace of any of the complaints that we made about the property during our stay and it is now up to us to find evidence of this. Really disappointed by their appalling customer service and the way that they have endangered our family.

Exceptional service and very friendly staff

Having tried to sell my house with another agent last year, I used Intercounty this time. In a very tough market, they managed to book plenty of viewings and I was delighted to sell to a lovely family who live nearby. It was important to me that the house that I have lived in for nearly 20 years went to someone who loves it as much as I do. Helen, in particular, worked exceptionally hard for me, securing the initial offer well into the evening. I am extremely grateful to her for all her hard work. Doug also kept me sane, particularly around the time of exchange which I was finding very stressful. He worked tirelessly on my behalf and I am extremely grateful to him too. William, Olivia, James and Jack also deserve a mention - everyone did their very best for me. If you are wondering whether to use an agent with a more expensive fee than, for example, online agents do it. They were worth every penny.

An amazing team!

We have started purchasing our property a few days before the lockdown. The entire team was just amazing in keeping us informed and reassured during the whole process, despite all the difficulties associated with furlough, social distancing, etc. During the entire time, they have been in contact with us and the seller. Being first-buyers, we had plenty of questions and worries, but they were always there for us. We would highly recommend Intercounty and especially this team!

Didn't get to even view anything from this company as they were really unorganised, let me know about viewings being cancelled incredibly late, once was when I was on the train heading to the property. Trying to get any viewings just for one property was a lot harder then other estate agents I've dealt with. They seemed to have an issue with me being self employed even though my partner is employed full time. I asked multiple times for contact via email because of my job which they said they could do but continued to bombard me with calls and voicemails. I spoke to someone different each time I called back, who didn't seem to know what was going on. Once I informed them I had found somewhere with another estate agents they still continued to call me to see how everything was going which I felt was a bit odd, almost like they were checking up on me to see if anything would go wrong with this other estate agents. I ended up blocking the number because of the volume of unwanted calls I had. Kind of glad I didn't go with this company in the end. If you want unwanted calls all the time then by all means go with Intercounty but I wouldn't go back to them.

bought the property through the agent and experienced extremely supportive and accommodating attitude to honour the need of the customer be it buyer / seller. Interacted with Jack and Doug and both are outstanding in terms of customer relationships and would mostly be available over the phone. Doug as a sales progressor helped us get over the line when there were significant challenge in connecting with bottom of the chain and chasing every day from pillar to post. I am sure anyone else would have got irritated with the number of calls / chase I did to Doug to seek update on a daily basis, however Doug has always been patient and provided needed update as and when was available. excellent services with Jack available to arrange the appointment we sought to visit the property at numerous occasions.

Right from the start I was impressed…

Right from the start I was impressed with Intercounty, which is why I chose them to sell a property for me. Andrew Kershaw valued the property and suggested the way forward (due to the type of house it was) would be an 'Open House'. The open house was held 13 days after the property went on the market and we received two firm offers. We accepted one of the offers and from there it was as straightforward as any house sale can be. I am all new to renting privately, and I was starting to feel like I was asking too much with other estate agents. I saw a property I.
