Awful company ! when we moved in the house was disgusting we had to spend so much of our own money on cleaning supplies and days of work instead of completing uni work. We didn’t have a working shower for one week and again they disregarded our complaints and calls, they do not deliver on any of their basic requirements. They are extremely rude and unhelpful, they are now trying to withhold our deposit even though the house is cleaner now then when we first moved in, for example charging us £60 for a lightbulb that was never there when we moved in! I would not recommend this company to anyone avoid at all costs ! I wish i had after seeing all the previous reviews.

Avoid like the plague :)

It is with great pleasure that I write this review, knowing I will never have to deal with premier student homes again. I was a tenant with PSH from July 2023/2024, and can honestly say this is the worst experience I have ever had with a landlord. From rats and black mould to electric shocks from the appliances, we have had countless issues throughout our tenancy, many of which are extreme health and safety issues.

The worst company you could imagine. No cleaning done whatsoever, no regard for safety of the poor students who are stuck in a contract with them! They have any ‘emergency’ contact line over the weekend that no one answers (not that they resolve any issues during the week either) meaning that if your shower completely breaks on a Friday night then you just have to go days on end without a shower until they can be bothered to answer! These people just want you to sign a contract and take your money and once they have that they don’t care. I urge any students in Birmingham NOT to rent with this disgusting and useless company, and I’m sorry to anyone else that is stuck with them.

My daughter has just moved into accommodation with these people, before she moved in we took photos of the dirt, the disrepair, the illegal Firedoors, the rubbish left by previous tenants and the general state of disrepair. The office has had these photos since July and have kept promising to sort the issues, we are now in October and no issues have been fully resolved, most have not even been attempted to be resolved and the office now says that the property is perfectly acceptable and habitable, if you are a parent and are thinking of letting your Son or Daughter rent off these people then please, please, please think again. They lie to your face, fob you off on the phone and could not give a damn about their tenants whilst taking extortionate rents off them! They also offer money back off your first months rent if you leave a 5* review, I’m not that desperate thanks!

I wouldn’t suggest premier student lettings to anyone. First of all they deduct from your deposit stating lame excuses. The house was full of rats. It took them a while to find a solution after nagging them several times. The kitchen was dirty when moved in and when we moved out, they charged us for deep cleaning for these exact reasons. First of all be sure to take all the detailed photos of every room . Since they don’t sent it you and make sure to put each and every detail in the inventory report. They even charged for Normal wear and tear such as painting the house, normal repairs . They charged for a new mattress citing stains in the mattress . Cleaning the stains can cost up to 50 pounds and they charged 150 pounds each for a new mattress. It has been the worst experience.

Reviewing based on feedback of relative during first time renting as a young adult as part of a shared house. All sent documents for referencing as requested and agent threatened to remove application if not received in 24hours when had been sent 1 month prior causing stress and panic that could be homeless. Edit: to add to the above, were actually missold to and advised could use deposit as 1st or last month’s rent - during phone calls negotiating rental with Huzaifa. The renters, having now familiarised themselves with the tenancy deposit scheme requirements, now know is wholly inaccurate. Agents like this should not be allowed to operate and missell/ misrepresent like this and only give the property industry a bad name.

I wouldn’t recommend anyone staying at there properties. They say they are going to sort problems out and don’t .Then at end of tenancy charge the kids extra and add electric costs to end of tenancy for extensive usage when they hadn’t even been at the property for half the time .The garden was a jungle when they got there and I personally made a dramatic improvement to the garden and they still disputing the deposits . Be very careful if considering using these people !.

DO NOT RECOMMEND! when we first moved in the garden was a hazard with bramble bushes everywhere and everything was completely overgrown. we had mice before we moved in and throughout our whole tenancy no matter how clean we kept the place. on the same weekend where it snowed our front door broke, our roof leaked and our boiler packed up, when calling the emergency line we got shouted at because the lady who answered the phone was in the shower, when telling them (on saturday) that the boiler had broken the best they said they could do was deliver electric heaters on monday! when they did finally deliver the heaters we got 1 between 4 of us. upon moving out they attempted to charge us over £400 extra on electricity due to the rise in cost but when asked for evidence of us spending that they couldn’t provide it so safe to say we didn’t pay it. this led us all to believe it was a scam by them. they charged us for beginning and end of year cleaning even though we left the house in a much cleaner state than what we found it in. all in all do not even bother using this company, they do not care for their tenants at all. absolutely useless.

Premier Student homes should be avoided at all costs They are renting houses that are dirty unsafe and actually illegal due to lack of adequate fire doors smoke alarms etc Mouldy fridges and washing machines are just the tip of the iceberg Left over rubbish from previous tenants in cupboards and rat infested garden full of old blinds Do not let your children rent from this appalling company I have photos should they be required
