Highly recommend Martin & Co Harborne. As a nation-wide company, we previously used them for renting/managing our property. When we moved to Birmingham, we used them again for buying our new home. They provided continued support and end-less communications among different parties on every moment from viewing, sale agreement, mortgage, survey, solicitor towards completion. On the completion day, we receive a surprising gift box (picture attached) from Martin & Co. A very big thank you to Jess, Monaj and Harj. You did an excellent job!

The landlord has accepted another offer, and you should have proactively informed the other applicants who were still waiting, so they could make timely arrangements instead of waiting aimlessly for your notification. It is even more disappointing that when someone emailed to ask whether the property had been rented out, you chose not to respond at all. Such indifference does not reflect the professionalism and courtesy expected from a reputable agency. Every applicant may lose a month’s rent due to your lack of communication, and this kind of discriminatory treatment is simply unacceptable. I strongly advise others not to choose this agency, especially the staff member named Jack.

We've been living in a flat rented by Martin & Co Harborne. Everything was ok when we were living there. The big problem started when the contract finished. The company did the check out and they verified that everything was correct. They said to us everything was ok and that they needed to communicate it to the landlord to return the deposit. We still waiting for after 3 weeks!!!! And we trying to contact with few Martin&Co's workers and no one answer us. It is shameful... When we rented the flat they were very quick to make documents and we had to pay them but now that they are the ones who have to give us back the money nobody answers us. Very disappointed with them I hope to have a solution soon or I will have to report it.

From the moment Raj viewed our property we felt confident that he and his team would do their very best for us. When we encountered a last minute hitch and needed a new boiler Deepa quickly recommended a fitter who kindly prioritised our work so that our new tenant was not inconvenienced. Hi there I was a tenant of Derek Spires for 8 years, finding the new agents rather more professional. Have a good relationship with Raj and Sinead in particular and, after a few years of stagnation under Spires, things are being more speedily attended to and the premises progressively upgraded. Personally, I find the staff friendly and approachable. There's always scope to do more but there does seem to be a genuine commitment to making improvements to our quality of life. Recommended

No help at all if you have a problem.

I was a tenant in a property managed by Martin & Co for 6 months, There were problems from the start. Once I moved in, it was clear there was a major drainage problem with the toilet. Despite warning them, they took no notice and when I first used it, it basically was up to the rim and about to spill waste onto the toilet floor. Only at this point did they do anything. Water was pouring down the side of the house meaning I couldn't open my bathroom window, the electrics were slightly dodgy, meaning the boiler and everything didn't work. There was a damp problem affecting the walls and the electrics in the kitchen (according to the landlord's electrician guy). This was just a few of the problems. Communication was just dire! Multiple phones calls, emails, physically going into the office, making a formal complaint to Martin & Co and I actually complained to Birmingham Council in the end. I wouldn't use them for letting / selling a property ever again. Only good thing is my deposit was returned quite promptly so my dealings with them could end. Thank god!
