James Laurence are hands down the best estate agents in the JQ and wider city centre. They successfully marketed and sold my JQ flat that is housed in a particularly challenging block. They persisted with marketing and cross selling, whilst keeping me informed at every juncture. I had two failed sales through no fault of JL, however, they did not let it demotivate them or marginalise the flat. They understood my expectations and soldiered on until they found a lovely buyer that aligned with my requirements. Once a sale was agreed Henry and his team remained fully engaged and proactive with the lawyers to get the deal closed. The professional attitude and work ethic of every member of the JL team blew me away. I was fortunate enough to be able to compare JL with another JQ based agent that I appointed to jointly market my flat. The service and level of dedication received was worlds apart to that of Henry and his team. The regular update calls were appreciated and gave me an opportunity to reflect on marketing information and ask questions. Upon completion I received a follow up call from Tom to congratulate me. If you are looking for a tenacious, organiser and motivated bunch, look no further!!! My flat was on the market for over a year, other JQ based agents were either not interested or couldn’t produce the goods whilst promising the world. Well done JL! I was surprised with the level of support and professionalism by James Laurence. Charlotte was in constant communication with me and guided me throughout the process, from viewing the property to making an offer and securing the property, all done remotely as I was not in the UK during the process. Given this complex situation, getting everything right was a real challenge. I was in contact with all major letting agencies the city. They couldn't help me in this situation. I was in search of a property for more than 3 weeks until I stumbled on a property by James Laurence. I was able to secure a suitable house within 4 working days. It was a good experience to let a property through James Laurence. The viewing appointment went very smoothly with Charlotte Blount who provided us with all info about the property. Melissa Wilson was also helpful and kindly answered all our questions. EDIT: However, maintenance services were rather poor. Some issues were not sorted at all or there was a lot of delays, which caused serious consequences including health issues. Moreover, unfortunately, not fixed issues affected the deposit although these issues were not our fault, for instance having water leak (broken valve under flooring).

I've had the pleasure of working with James Laurence on my move to a new property in Birmingham. My partner and I were consulted by Lotti Milner and Melissa Wilson throughout the entire process from inquring about suitable properties to applying for the properties we liked and subsequently doing all the necessary work to set up our tennancy agreement. The experience from start to finish was smooth. We've enjoyed prompt and regular communications and both Lotti and Melissa were very helpful in answering all our questions and in guiding us when needed. James Laurence is also using a nice digital system for managing the applicaiton process for properties and for post-approval admin related to deposits, rent payments and the setting up of utility serevices. This has allowed us to do manage every single aspect of renting out our new property online, which is fast and efficient and gives you the ability to have a clear record of all communications and a good understanding of all processes that you need to go through. I am happy to recommend James Laurence to anyone who is consdiering using their services. If you've found a property manageed by them in one of the big renting websites, don't hesistate to write to them about it and even ask for advice on alternatives. That's what I did and that's how we found our current home.

Dealt with Sam, had an offer accepted on a property in the town centre. Me and a colleague started the process of solicitors. A week later Sam rang me to notify me he had to put another offer forward to the vendor which was accepted and we were just cut off. Disgusting service, I have never dealt with such unprofessionalism. I have brought properties and sold properties in the past and I have never come across the estate agents continuing putting forward offers to the vendor when they have already accepted an offer from a buyer.

I have been very impressed with James Laurence, who have recently sold my property. Having previously had a poor experience with Purple Bricks, I instructed James Laurence to help sell my property. I have worked with Henry throughout the whole process and have found him to be very professional and knowledgeable as well as being efficient. Having arrived in Birmingham to start my course at the university, with my husband and daughter we had a really difficult time to find accommodation and had to spend a month in a hotel. However the only agency that I found extremely welcoming and helpful was James Laurence. Melissa Richardson was so dedicated and made it her mission, like a friend to me, to get us moved as soon as possible and finally could finds us an excellent property. Melissa Wilson guided us with the referencing, moving in and specially addressing very promptly the issues we had in the first few days in the flat and Charlotte,leading the rental team, who onboarded us initially was also extremely helpful and patient with our enquiries.
