I would like to leave this review to show my appreciation towards the staff at Burchell Edwards especially Harjinder Paul the mortgage advisor and Matt who I believe is the branch manager. Harj was only a phone call away and always answerd !, Even on his days off he would go out his way to help. Organising the mortgage answering emails making things understandable, Nothing was too much trouble he is a credit to burchell edwards and I would highly recommend using him as your mortgage advisor. Matt was also very plesent and formal with how things were coming along with the property accompanying me to two visits and also offering to work around me and my busy work schedule and explains things well regarding property Matt's efficient work rate pushed the us over the line to get things all wrapped up. Thanks again guys.

I highly recommend choosing Burchell Edwards when buying property. As a first time buyer I was really nervous about the whole process but thanks to an amazing service at Erdington branch i was able to complete purchase within 2 months! Harjinder was extremely helpful with mortgage advise and paperwork support, Matthew and Mairead ensured everything was going smoothly. I felt comfortable asking questions and i really appreciate all help and advise given, gentelmen at branch were always available to answer any queries via phone/email or directly at branch. The worst out there

The worst out there, put us through so much drama, very stressful and mentally draining, their mortgage broker is absolutely useless, 4 months later we were declined, absolute waste of time, waste of energy, they just didn't want us to buy it for some reason, maybe because we are a different skin colour to them! Stay away from the burnley branch, good lord, how do they get away with this bs.

Bridgefords are the worst estate agents…

Bridgefords are the worst estate agents i have ever come across, i am so glad i did not decide to sell my house with them! They never answer the calls, constantly leaving voicemails, very rarely they call you back! I viewed a property with them a week or so ago & no follow up phone call the following day, I wanted to make an offer , left several voicemails & nothing! Please avoid Bridgefords at all costs. They are the worst estate agents i have ever come across. Please stay away!

I didn’t have a pleasant experience selling my flat with Burchell Edwards in Erdington. Communication was good up until I signed the contract, but after that it became very limited - even when our initial house purchase fell through (we were in a chain) and we were left panicking I was ignored when I asked if they could help find me a new house. The sales progression team are absolutely awful, nothing like the service we received from Paul Carr estate agents who were dealing with our onward purchase. I felt unsupported and left in the dark throughout the process. In hindsight, I wish I had done more research before signing with them. A quick look at their Trustpilot reviews says it all really. Don’t get me wrong, they managed to sell our flat however any other agency would have done also… I would never go with them again.

Absolutely shocking , no chase ups , no progress or updates for my purchase, no follow up , consequently a £400 k purchase failing at the last minute , not qualified to sell houses correctly, , complete garbage im afraid , cost me thousands in abortive fees , totally lied to & lead down the garden path. Negative experience unfortunately.While they sold my house and met their contractual obligations, the communication and service from Pauline was poor.Close to completion, I spoke to the manager Nicola, evidenced the issues I faced and I offered what I believed to be a fair 80%. Unfortunately she didn’t agree, which meant it was escalated to the ombudsman.The ombudsman agreed to my 80% “As a gesture of goodwill In recognition of the communication issues faced and visits to my property without prior consent”.Very disappointed with the service but was more disappointed that the Macclesfield branch would accept no responsibility and see things through my eyes when I tried, amicably, to reason with Nicola and provided evidence. People make mistakes and things happen in business, but she was having none of it and for me it was the principle of the matter.Based on other Macclesfield position reviews this may well have been a one off, I’ve purchased before with Pauline and she was great then.One advice I would give is don’t be afraid to speak up to them - even if they don’t reply to you - it’s your sale, time and money and you have a right to receive good communication. I regret not escalating things earlier in the process.

We were offered a property to rent but were only able to view it with the previous tenants’ furniture still in place. Upon moving in, we discovered a large hole in the bathroom that had been hidden by the furniture. During our first week, we also noticed a leak in the bathroom. When we reported the issue over the weekend, the agency didn’t respond until the following Monday, after we made a follow-up call. A plumber’s inspection revealed that this was an ongoing problem. He even found a small container hidden under the bath, likely used to contain the leak. None of these issues were disclosed to us during the viewing, and we feel that important faults were deliberately concealed.

Stalybridge branch over promised under achieved

Put my property up for sale with them all they do is over promise, the staff have no idea, couldn’t accept any feed back and very patronising, everything was a struggle after 3 viewings in 7 months took house of the market with them. Absolutely useless as a manager of 40 years if they worked for me they would all be unemployed.Stalybridge branch over promised and under achieved.
