When our first buyer pulled out, he acted straight away and arranged new viewings immediately, which ultimately led us to the buyer we are now completing with. His proactive approach really helped keep things moving during what could have been a very stressful time. He also regularly checked in with us to make sure we were okay and kept us updated, which we really appreciated. Great doing with burchell edwards erdington branch Senaa ahmed was the one that I went with to view a few properties with and she was very friendly and approachable with excellent customer service skills We viewed 3 properties in total first was low then medium and the final was the dream house that I purchased being the maximum budget. Really bad experience selling our house with burchell. It started off well, kieran seemed great when he came round. All downhill from there though. The listing - thrown together with no care or attention. Riddled with typos and all the photos were out of order. Took us hassling multiple times to get it right. Then once it went live, our house was never put in the window as we were promised. When we did get a viewing, burchell sent someone who knew nothing about the house, they hadn't even read the listing to know even the basics and we ended up being the ones to actually 'sell' the house. Don't get me started on the process after that. Amie was useless and 4 months into the sale called us confused as to why we hadn't moved out - she was so disorganised she didn't even know we were buying another house. Had the cheek to ask us 'since when' were we buying somewhere else to which we replied 'since 9 months ago when kieran first took the contract'. To add insult to injury they then overcharged us at completion and we had to fight that which caused us additional stress around moving. It was an absolute clown show. Avoid.

Refused to return deposit after tenancy ended, eventually complying four months later after we enacted formal action. Ignored all our calls and emails, and during the little communication I could get with them I was treated with more rudeness and dishonesty than I have ever experienced. In particular Deposits Manager Paddy and Leanne consistently treated us with the utmost contempt. Probably some sort of illegal operations behind the scenes. Avoid!

Selling your home? Go elsewhere!!! This was an absolutely appalling experience. We chose this agent over cheaper options because they promised speed and efficiency, instead, it took over 3 weeks just to get our property live, only after relentless chasing. No initiative, no urgency - they didn't even bother to put up a "For Sale" sign. Once listed, they secured zero viewings. Then, after a couple of weeks without warning, we noticed they had removed our property from all platforms and lied about it when questioned. Rude, dismissive, unapologetic and completely dishonest. The basics were a mess: we were wrongly told an EPC wasn't needed, the listing description was weak, and the photos were out of order and failed to capture key period victorian features. We even had friends and family call as "mystery shoppers” - calls were rarely answered, and when they were, they were told to call back as only lettings staff were available. Voicemails to try organise viewings went unanswered entirely. Delays, misinformation, terrible communication, and zero accountability. A complete waste of time. Needless to say we stopped using them and swapped to a local independent instead. Avoid

We had a very disappointing experience with Burchell Edwards. From the very beginning we were misled about a lease extension being completed as part of the sale, which later turned out not to be the case. This caused significant delays and complications that could have been avoided if we had been given accurate information from the start. Communication was extremely poor throughout the process. Over the two years (yes, two years) since we first put an offer in, not a single person from the branch proactively contacted us to update us on progress. We were constantly chasing for information and often received incorrect advice about timings, which made an already stressful process even worse. Because of the delays and misinformation, we also ended up paying abortive solicitor fees, something the agency has completely refused to take any responsibility for. Buying a property is stressful enough without being misadvised and left in the dark. Unfortunately, our experience with Burchell Edwards made the whole situation far more difficult than it needed to be. Based on our experience, we would strongly recommend avoiding them.

She did not pressure me into a sale and instead listened/was informative and has remained in contact post viewings to see if she can help. Her communication is professional/helpful both in person and via email/telephone. I also had a really positive experience with the mortgage manager Harjinder P. He was very informative and conducted himself professionally. He took me seriously as a women wanting to try and get a property by herself which unfortunately in this day and age still doesn’t always happen. Would recommend these two professionals!
