I was recently threatened with prosecution by TFL (Transport for London) for fare evasion on the Underground. The consequences of a successful prosecution would have been devastating to me and my career. I contacted Samir Moftah at Aletta Shaw and instructed him to deal with my case. Within two weeks of contacting them, Aletta Shaw secured an out of court settlement with TFL on my behalf. This meant no attendance at court and no criminal conviction. I was extremely impressed with the way Aletta Shaw handled matters on my behalf. They were friendly, professional and had a thorough knowledge of the relevant law as it applied to my case. They also had a good working relationship with case handlers at TFL. The episode with TFL was incredibly distressing, and Aletta Shaw helped me resolve matters and get my life back. Highly recommended!

I was stopped using someone else's freedom pass which I had been doing for a while not knowing the seriousness of my action and was about to be prosecuted by TFL and most probably getting a criminal record affecting my future. I contacted a few solicitors and after a quick conversation with Samir Moftah decided to go with Aletta Shaw, I was not disappointed at all. Samir with his knowledge and contacts got me out of trouble when I looked dead and buried. Since I shopped around before choosing Samir I can easily say that the price I was charged by Aletta Shaw was by far the cheapest and clearest, there was no hidden cost like with some other firms. I highly recommend Aletta Shaw.

Appallingly slow service, Nearly two years since my Uncle passed and still a simple estate with no contests or queries. Still unresolved. I did not hire them, was hired by the trustee. As a beneficiary Im now being fobbed off and I believe I have been given false "advice". I was basically told you are not our client go away stop asking for this to be resolved. Apparently it is illegal for me to contact the tax office regarding my Uncle's estate. If I had the option of 0 stars I'd give it. I can see that they are only responding to positive reviews. I contacted Aleta Shaw Bexleyheath last week for some legal advice. After multiple phone calls and left messages I finally managed to speak to someone. After providing basic details it became clear that Aletta Shaw did not want to help as they continued to say they were to busy without even getting a full understanding of the complaint. I just wanted initial legal advice what I was happy to pay for but the lady kept trying to put off making an appointment. I then requested that I would like to book an appointment with the senior solicitor of the practice only to be informed that she was to busy and as she was on holiday she could take no further business on. I said I was happy to wait until she came less busy. I sent an email requesting an appointment when she returned from holiday. Once again this company didn’t have the courtesy to reply. After leaving it another four days I called the company again and left a message. Once again no call back. When I did finally speak to the senior solicitor she refused a meeting before she had even heard what the case was and then could not explain her reasons why. All in all a totally shocking experience from this company and I would not recommend them to anyone. Incredibly poor service and a total lack of common courtesy. I have given them one star only to be able to post this review but in my opinion they are not even worth that.
