Disappointing experience with RMJ

Disappointing experience with RMJ. They introduced buyers, but I felt I had to drive negotiations and challenge their advice to achieve the price I wanted. My complaint was met with a response I found dismissive. For £5,100, I expected better advice and support. I wouldn’t use them again. I’m also unable to leave a google review as it’s being reported by the agency. Their google reviews are heavily sanitised and they’re abusing the system to skew their rating. Incredibly poor.

We had a really lovely experience with Robinson Jackson Northumberland branch. From contacting them to request a viewing, to the appointment, submitting our offer and being notified of the all the stages of our offer right the way through to completion of our purchase, everything was smooth and it was always easy to get hold of someone. We had Paula as our dedicated case manager assisting us with our sale and she kept us in the loop of every stage the sellers were at with their search and of course did her due diligence to ensure we were staying on track on our side of all the things we had to do. For both the buying and selling side of things, the team did a wonderful job and I'm sure the sellers were as happy with their support for the sale as we were with them with our purchase. Excellent estate agents

We recently bought a house through the Belvedere branch of Robinson Jackson. The sales team were very accommodating, showing and reshowing the house to us and their sales negotiators, especially Charlie Greenway, were excellent at promptly answering all our questions (even the possibility daft ones). It was a smoth transaction and tgey even negotiated to move up the move-in date by a few weekd. Overall, I would highly recommend Robinson Jackson as estate agents.

As a 1st time homebuyer, the experience of purchasing my new house through Robinson Jackson was a mix of highs and lows, but overall, it was a positive journey thanks to the incredible support of their team, especially Jane Wilkinson. Jane was a star throughout the journey. From the outset, Jane was a beacon of reliability and professionalism. She kept everything in order, providing invaluable advice and suggestions whenever needed. Jane was the only person who consistently kept the conveyancing process transparent and active. Her welcoming, accommodating, and understanding nature made the entire process much more manageable. I genuinely felt that she was committed to helping me navigate through the complexities of buying a repossessed property, which added an extra layer of difficulty to the purchase. Another individual who deserves a mention is Joe. He was instrumental during the initial stages, providing necessary assistance and making sure that I was well-informed about the process. His support was crucial during the early phases of my home-buying journey. However, there were some aspects of the experience that could have been improved. Initially, I felt somewhat rushed into the process, and it seemed like the price was inflated to push me into a decision. Comparing with housing websites, I believe better negotiation with the sellers could have been made for our offer amount. This was a repossessed property, which does come with its unique challenges, but I still feel more could have been done to assist us in securing a better deal. In conclusion, despite some bumps along the way, my experience with Robinson Jackson was largely positive, thanks to the dedication of individuals like Jane and Joe. Booked a viewing with them via Rightmove which I later cancelled, but then they start spamming me with email marketing. Seems like they use a different employees email each time to get around the fact I have tried to both unsubscribe and block their email addresses multiple times but these emails still make it into my main inbox. Would advise against giving your contact details if you don’t want to be bombarded with emails.

I bought a house in Northumberland Heath, after being let down on a previous purchase. Robinson Jackson are very big in the locality and have excellent local knowledge, which proved invaluable, when it came to understanding common features affecting houses in the street - such as the type of roof and loft. I felt very supported in my buying journey. The staff are very obliging and helpful. I strongly recommend prospective buyers, and probably sellers, to go with this firm. They are very proactive and always answer phone calls and chase up enquiries very promptly and efficiently. Paula Valser, the sales progressor, is fantastic and you will really appreciate her efforts, when you get into the thick of things. When you are in a situation where your solicitor is often too busy, 'on completions' to answer your enquiry, the other agent isn't very quick at getting back to you, and you need information from the other side, Paula will follow it up proficiently - obviously very pleasantly and diplomatically, because she always gets answers. I would describe her as the glue which holds the process together, where different professionals are involved. She is always the first to pass on updates and keeps things progressing. I can't imagine what it would be like with a longer chain than I had ( I bought an empty house and sold to someone without a property to sell), but you would definitely benefit from a professional like Paula, if the situation were complex.

When my Dad died I instructed Robinson Jackson to sell the house. When Garry came round to value it he was straight forward with what we could expect, sensitive to our grief and wasn't pushy. Every time there was a viewing booked I was emailed informing me. Living 50 miles away, if i needed to ask something it was easy to phone the office and speak with someone. Likewise they would call me with new progress reports etc. Whether you're moving house or in my case selling a house that's in probate, or awaiting probate, I would highly recommend this office, everyone who works here is only too willing to help you. For me a big thank you to Garry and Jane who made the process stress free.

I have been so impressed with Robinson Jackson from start to finish. It took me a while to decide to sell my home and glad I went with RJ North Heath rather than another agent. They are extremely tenacious, professional and really know their stuff on the local market conditions, they were 100% right. The sale of our property unfortunately was not smooth sailing due to our buyers painfully slow solicitors, but the RJ North Heath team did extremely well by pushing and getting us over the line. I cannot fault them at all and have a great skill set as a team, they really compliment each other. Graham, tenacious and straight talking, you need these characteristics when you are selling your home!! Joe, extremely personable, knowledgeable of the market + conveyancing procedure. When things were not making sense, he provided a clear explanation of what was taking place. Really appreciated the help and guidance. Paula, really lucky to have her- she was always steps ahead and was able to provide the information I needed. Put simply, Garry, Jane and the team, achieved a sale of our house in just over three months. They guided us through the big decisions with kindness and skill, that took all of the worry away from the process. That was brilliant. It was a pleasure to walk into their office and get the genuine smile of people who we now regard as our friends, not a bit like the common perception of an estate agent. Garry and Jane have been here in the centre of Northumberland Heath's community for many years, and the local knowledge they demonstrate is most reassuring. I have found the services of Robinson Jackson exemplary and would highly recommend any sales transactions. Garry kept in touch with me on a regular basis until circumstances allowed me to put my property on the market. It was marketed speedily and I was always informed/kept up to date with viewings. A sale was agreed within a couple of weeks (a special thank you Garry) Jane then took over and coordinated between my solicitor and the buyers solicitors. I used this agency to sell my property

I used this agency to sell my property, and unfortunately my experience was disappointing. I felt I was persuaded to reduce the asking price without sufficient justification, which ultimately did not work in my best interest. Communication throughout the process was generally good, but good communication alone is not enough. I was under the impression that the buyer had the financial means to complete the purchase, only to later discover that they first needed to sell their own property because they did not have the funds for the deposit. This was not made clear to me from the beginning. The fees are high, as expected from a typical high street estate agency, but in my opinion the level of service does not justify the cost. The transaction was also unnecessarily delayed, resulting in a loss of both time and money. That said, there are members of the team who are professional and genuinely helpful, and I appreciate their efforts. Despite the delays and the challenges throughout the process, the sale was eventually completed. Would I use this agency again? Probably not.
