Managed my property for over ten years

Property Cafe have been my property managers for over ten years. I have worked with Damien Taylor and his team this entire time. They have managed the issues that arise quickly and when things have gone wrong with tenants they have helped get contractors to fix the issue and also found new tenants when needed. I have a full service management package with them which makes my life easier and not all property management companies do that. They offer more hands off packages as well so can do as much or as little as you want.

I worked with Bethany at the Property Cafe who are phenomenal! They are professional, responsive and tell you exactly what is going to happen next. The best part is, they then go on to do exactly what they said they were going to do. Other businesses need to take note, this is how business should be done! Next time I make a move in the 1066 area, I'm looking to Property Cafe first.

Have been refused 90% of flats we wished to view due to claiming universal credit. I have only been out of work for a couple of years due to disability but my partner works full time and the two incomes combined are way above the requirement. Therefore, this practice is purely discriminatory. Only one other agency has done this to us (once!). We have researched into this and found out that agencies should be refusing landlords who discriminate against those on benefits as it has been ruled unlawful by a judge in 2020. Somehow Property Cafe takes landlords wishes as a priority above tenants’ rights and will happily discriminate against disabled people. 100% the worst agency I have ever dealt with and I advise you to steer clear of them. Megan Curtis was by far the biggest culprit of this and was also extremely rude and dismissive of us once she knew it was us who was enquiring. She only offered us one viewing after we mentioned that is unlawful to be practicing this.

Wow, what fantastic service given by Damien Taylor. Good to see the Manager rolling up his sleeves and getting his hands ‘dirty’. After arranging and meeting for a viewing, there was follow through right up to today. I have now completed an application, been vetted and this all in the space of about 2 hours maximum. We were undecided on which property to go for, but due to the ease and expediency from Damien, we decided to utilise Damien at the Property Cafe. We could not be happier. I asked Property cafe to list my property for the rental market, Damion was there within the hour taking photos and floor plan details, the property was listed on their website, social media platforms, and Rightmove the same day, within 24hrs they had a tenant in place and did all the relevant checks, once agreed Danielle took over and organised everything from inventory to tenancy agreement, a very easy, quick and thorough process from everyone involved and will definitely be using them again in the future. When my tenancy was coming to an end, I received 1 phone call asking my availability for viewings to which I told Lisa at Property Cafe and she then turned up without prior notice. When I mentioned I wasn't made aware of the viewing, I got told "But you said you were home from this time?" I didn't realise that was the equivalent to notice??? Lisa was also very bad at communicating on the phone as if she was startled that tenants aren't home all day, every day at her convenience. Overall? 1/10 Unprofessionalism? 10/10

Damien Taylor, our principal contact, has been outstanding in every aspect. I brought my first home through Property Cafe. Everyone there was really helpful. I was shown the property by Michele for my first viewing, Michele then dealt with everything from that point up to moving in. I spoke to Dominic a few times too who was really helpful. Michele answered all my questions throughout the process and was genuinely keen for the sale helping me throughout the negotiating process which thankfully only took a few days, this was largely due to Michele communicating honestly with me and the seller in which we met in the middle. Michele contacted my solicitors to ensure the sale went through efficiently. I am really impressed with Property Cafe, I would highly recommend them, they take a lot of the stress of buying a home off you. Whenever I decide to move in the future I will definitely use Property Cafe to sell.

Always cheery and doing the best for your customer. I never had to worry about my house, as you were always respectful and thoughtful around the viewings you carried out on my behalf. I was so pleased that you were able to find my new house too! A big thank you to Michelle for making a stressful process as easy as it could be.
