Well where do I start?

Well where do I start?Been an ongoing battle for long enough now. A couple of the tenants for WDH make the place where I live a SH@*t hole. They pile up rubbish in the garden and fly tip over the wall and up against my house. They have damaged my house on more then one occasion. Several times in fact. Fires and parties at all times of the day. Sure living on benefits you can live it up every weekend at the cost of the guy who is trying to sleep and pay tax so they can have a party.Every time I try to ring the right people I get promised call backs? Something tells me I am been avoided. Sure I would love to take WDH to court for running my house price down. I have tried to sell the property before because I am fed up of my property been trashed by people who don't care. This is because they know their isn't any consequences. Maybe if the landlord actually cared! That would be a great help. Time for a change on unruly tenants and landlords.Sort it out !

Wdh used to be good to respond to…

Wdh used to be good to respond to request for repairs. We have waited approx 5months for a repair to a leaking roof.,but my latest bugbear is HOW can they run s scheme asking for people to be proud of their locality, and then send out contractors to cut your hedge and leave it in such a mess. Fortunately, on request, their manager came out to look at it and agreed. He had it rectified. WHY CANT THEY DO IT RIGHT TO START WITH. WDH YOU ARE REALLY FAILING IN YOUR STANDARDS.

Utterly Disgusted

My grandma passed away on the 5th of October. After the initial shock, and waiting to receive a death certificate, we were able to notify the council of her passing. They gave us an ‘ideal date’ of a weeks time to remove everything from her house and hand back the keys. They even sent an email chasing up the keys, and sent someone out to take a photograph of the house in preparation to put it straight back up on wdh. Obviously it’s understanding that there is still a job to do, but surely there is a duty of care and consideration that should go alongside in this situation. She had lived there 28 years. How they expect anyone to be able to grieve and work through half a life’s worth of belongings in such little time with very little consideration of feelings is beyond me. If anything it felt completely disrespectful to her life, as if she was nothing more than just a number. When in reality she was a well loved woman in her community, and overall a great tenant. My mum handed the keys back on the Saturday at 11am, by 2pm she had gone to collect the last of her belongings she had, which had been left in the garden. Only to find that the locks had already been changed and the gate leading to the back garden had been ripped off due to the locks that were on it, even though they had the keys necessary to open it. I am absolutely astonished and to be honest quite hurt by it all. I know for a fact that if this was how it was handled for your own family member, you would be disgusted too.

WDH are brilliant landlords

WDH are brilliant landlords. We have never had a problem with getting repairs fixed quickly and efficiently. We had a problem with our boiler and rung WDH. The heating engineer came out in just over an hour, fixed the problem and even fitted us a carbon monoxide detector at the same time. Excellent service. Thanks very much.

Buying from WDH is the worst mistake we ever made

We’ve left a number of reviews about WDH on Trustpilot because the treatment we have received at their hands warrants it. They recently replied to my last review with the following, “Reply from WDH: ‘As we have advised in previous reviews, please ring 0345 8 507 507 if you would like to discuss your circumstances with us so that we can hopefully help with the problems you are experiencing.’” Here’s the reality - WDH know exactly who we are because we sent copies of our reviews to them. So they also know that we have been contacting them for LITERALLY YEARS about the tenants who were cannabis growers and drug users, and about the newest tenants who are abusive drug users, who have caused harm to members of our family. It is completely disingenuous and total hypocrisy for WDH to put comments here saying ‘get in touch so we can deal with the problems’ because we have been in touch and they haven’t dealt with problems. The number they have provided is the basic One Call number where you will be on hold for 20 minutes before they just cut you off, and if you do get to actually speak to someone, they just fob you off - “nothing we can do!” Our awful circumstances have been discussed with WDH; they have been made aware of the literal HELL we have lived through. Every phone call is logged, every letter has been sent tracked so we know they were received, every email is archived, we keep a diary logging all the antisocial behaviour, we keep copies of every report of antisocial behaviour, we have evidence. My previous review referenced a meeting we had with a member of staff from WDH - which shows we have been in touch doesn’t it? We have contacted them over and over and over and over again AND they have NOT helped us so far with the problems we are experiencing; the problems are continuing and we are being harmed. As I have said before in previous reviews - WDH are not trustworthy and they lie rather than take responsibility for the problems that ultimately they have caused - WDH chose to do nothing about the cannabis growers and the drug use, they chose to house more drug users and then don’t take appropriate or proportionate action to deal with them - the fault lies with WDH. Their policies and procedures amount to nothing; vulnerable people with life-threatening diseases are not being protected from their antisocial abusive tenants. The number of reviews we have read about WDH where tenants are expressing suicidal ideation is heartbreaking - and we’ve been there too; we’ve been in complete despair because of lack of action from WDH over situations that are completely intolerable. We have been repeatedly forced from our home because of antisocial behaviour, because of drug fumes entering our home making us ill and WDH housed more drug users despite knowing that there was a risk to the health of our family. WDH has refused to undertake works to stop the ingress of drug smoke and fumes into our home even though we begged them, sobbing, to deal with the problem. They house drug users and then won’t do anything about the problems they cause, even when they are causing targeted and deliberate harm. WDH even suggested we move out of the property we bought from them and rent somewhere else! Don’t make the same mistake we did. Don’t buy from WDH. Avoid WDH Shared Ownership Scheme. It’s not worth the risk. We’ve been dealing with all this from the first day we moved into the property we bought from WDH, years of our lives are gone and we can never get that time back. Buying from WDH is the worst mistake we ever made.

Important information everyone needs to know BEFORE they buy a property from WDH

Some really important information everyone needs to know BEFORE they buy a property from WDH. We have now lived in a WDH Shared Ownership property for years and in that time we have been subjected to criminal and antisocial behaviour by WDH tenants for the entire length of time we have lived here, except for a few months when the property was empty. When one set of antisocial criminal WDH tenants left, WDH moved another lot of antisocial criminals in. WDH recently told us that unless the police take “substantive” action against their criminal tenants, then WDH aren’t going to do anything to deal with them either. Just think about the reality of that! Even though WDH accept that their tenants behaviour is a breach of the tenancy agreement, unless the police pursue a criminal prosecution, WDH will do nothing to evict - therefore we will continue to be subjected to criminal and antisocial behaviour. That’s the reality of the situation. Here’s the problem - when WDH’s criminal tenants were running a drug farm/factory in their property, which was affecting our home and making it uninhabitable, we contacted WDH and they just fobbed us off and did nothing, so we contacted the police on Live Chat on their website (we have a transcript of that conversation). We reported the drug farm/factory - the police did nothing. We reported the same issue through the Crimestoppers website - the police did nothing. So then WDH can use that as an excuse to also do nothing. WDH admits that they “liaise closely with the police” - so what is it then? A joint decision to protect WDH’s antisocial tenants at the expense of the vulnerable people who are being directly affected? WDH also claim that their members of staff are not able to ascertain if criminal activity is occurring - that only the police can make that judgement. This means that WDH will not even send a member of staff to the offending property, and, even if WDH staff witnessed their tenants smoking a six inch long spliff while watching kiddie porn, they would not be able to make any judgement as to whether that is an actual crime, apparently only the police would have the expertise to know that. The absurdity of the situation just beggars belief! Out of the hundreds of people who applied to rent the WDH property, why did WDH staff choose more drug users? Because these new WDH tenants use drugs like a weapon - it seems deliberately blowing fumes/smoke in my window at which point I’ve experienced dizziness, chest pain, felt sick and felt like I was going to collapse. As it was happening I tried to fill in yet another antisocial behaviour report form, which are available on the WDH website, but I literally couldn’t type properly. When I looked up at what I had just typed it was all wrong. I was dizzy, shaking, felt any minute I was going to vomit and was just not able to function. I have a life-threatening illness and I feel that my life is being endangered by these WDH tenants and we already know from past experience that WDH are NOT going to get rid of them - it seems that WDH goes out of their way to actually protect and prioritise these people. They talk about their policies and procedures but it amounts to nothing. When we bought a WDH Shared Ownership property we believed that it would be our ‘forever home’ but now we are looking for somewhere else to live and we are having to look at alternatives like maybe living in a caravan. We are being forced out of our home by WDH’s tenants and lack of action by WDH. What we believed would be our ‘forever home’, a home we have invested thousands of pounds in, has become like a noose around our necks. The property is worthless while we have criminal activity on the doorstep and while that criminal activity continues to affect the property. Everything we have has been invested in this property and now we are having to start over with nothing. The criminal activity has been bad enough but we also experienced a lot of disrepair issues when we moved into the property, and we are talking about disrepair that caused injury (please see my previous reviews). The garden of the property was like a landfill and there were dirty drug needles on the property, a door came off its hinges and fell on me, the boiler didn’t work etc. This has been our experience of WDH right from the outset and I feel we have had enough experience of them to make an honest assessment. I would advise people to avoid WDH like the plague, DON’T buy or rent from WDH. Renters are just as likely to suffer what we have. People just need to be aware that this is the reality of dealing with WDH and I just want to warn people not to make the same mistake we have. WDH are not a trustworthy organisation and they need to be investigated as a matter of urgency.

AVOID WDH FLATS

I lived I a flat owned by WMDC for 3 years. Water poured into the roof space everything it rained for two years and caused black mould on the ceiling. The council blamed me for the black mould until one day the estate officer saw water dripping from the ceiling and had to admit that it was rainwater causing the mould. It took them two years to find the hole in the roof. I was harassed for ten years and that made me I'll. So I went before the mental health rehousing panel and was given a flat in a run down block of flats. I was immediately subjected to harassment from my neighbors next door but when I complained nothing was done to stop the harassment. Then in 2006 the harassment worsened. They hit the floor with metal rod to wake me via a strong vibration through the concrete floor. A ground floor flat here has been empty for years and that is not surprising. The place is a decaying concrete slum and the staff hate and despise the tenants.
