Amina / Spencer - Genuinely lovely people!

Absolutely superb service by both Amina and Spencer! Within 30 seconds of walking into their offices, I was made to feel at ease, Amina answered all my queries perfectly, and even managed to squeeze me into 3 viewings that same morning. Fell in love with an amazing apartment which I've decided to go ahead with. Went back and dealt with Spencer with regards to application forms etc, and again made me feel like a truly valued client. Both Amina and Spencer are genuinely lovely, and I'm super glad I've met them both. Definitely my kinda people I like to deal with. Thank you both once again!

Excellent experience

I was in leeds in the process of viewing flats with other estate agents which were letting me down. I happened to call Linley and Simpson and Bradley answered and was incredible helpful and friendly. Within 1 hour I was viewing new flats and found the flat that I eventually moved in to. Bradley was full of information for each flat, and took extra time to make sure I viewed all available options. He is a credit to the company and really gave the best possible first impressions.

Smooth experience for my first flat

I dealt with Spencer Williamson who was the reason I had my first flat literally a few days after walking into Linley & Simpson. He took the initiative to sit down with me even though it was the end of the day and people were beginning to leave for the day. He ensured he understood what I was looking for, when I wanted to move and the area most desirable to be. He then set up a viewing for the next day for a flat that was perfect for me. Since then, he's worked diligently to ensure everything about the process has been smooth and seamless. This has been such a welcomed surprise as I tried to deal with another estate agent for a flat in the same area who was less than helpful. I would recommend anyone to Linley & Simpson to anyone, and especially Spencer.

Lisa was very polite and professional when we first met at the property. Lisa gave us all the information that was needed during the visit. Lisa called us the next working day to let us know they would like to go ahead with our application. Since, Lisa has been very fast with her responses via email and telephone regarding any questions we had about the application process and the property. I would like to thank Lisa for all her support during the initial viewing stage to the end of our reference checks being completed. My partner and I are relocating due to work and we’re a little nervous about the moving situation. A lot of the properties we liked were with a linley and simpson and they promptly got us viewings for properties that matched our wants and needs. Amina was amazing !!! she showed up round the flats but also the city , the walk from property to property was great and gave us some great recommendations for places to eat and visit ! Amina answered all my questions and was overall great !!! (even popped into the italian she suggested after our viewings and it was great ). we showed interest in a flat and the process to register our interest and ge the ball rolling has been so quick. Amazing !!!

I have just bought my first property through Alix Shaw at Linley and Simpson. Alix was great throughout the process and always willing to go the extra mile when needed. Very friendly and efficient staff. A really helpful and friendly viewing with Mia. The letting application was online, and I was continously kept informed of the outcome.I rented a very good quality property in Huddersfield for just over 1 year, from Lineley and Simpson.I had the odd occasion for a plumber when the heating system stopped working, and a mildly leaking tap. Tyla was the person I dealt with throughout most of my tenancy agreement. And she was really helpful.They have a very good online reporting system, and prioritised my request. Heating system was fixed on the same day. The leaking tap was done fairly quickly.At the end of the tenancy, Tyla did the exit checks, was fast, fair, and the deposit was returned quickly. Minus a cleaning fee which was totally reasonable, and agreed upon. I only left the property due to personal circumstances. A very good lettings agent, and special mention to Tyla.

Tony Taylor was fantastic throughout

Tony Taylor was fantastic throughout, firstly viewing the property before and after existing tenants moved out and giving me a detailed report on the condition and advice on works required before remarketing. Constant advice throughout considerable upgrades on the property and very quick to market the second it was complete which in turn lead to use having a new tenant within 2 weeks. Nothing too much trouble even out of hours.

Tom worked tirelessly to get a leak fixed from the c***s upstairs who were incredibly evasive and unhelpful in fixing what became quite a dangerous problem in the end. He was super communicative about what was happening, he was super calm and understanding and I would recommend renting through Linley and Simpson precisely due to his dedication in fixing the problem for me. Despite it not being fixed quickly (not due to Toms efforts) he really fought on my behalf to have something done. Great asset to your team!Thanks Tom! Restored my faith in renting.

Great experience when looking for a rental property

I was looking for a rented property in Beverley and had two viewings of different properties with Eleanor Barron from the Beverley Office. Ellie was great, very knowledgeable about each property, the landlords and the local area and made me feel at ease when considering which property to apply for. Ellie gave me the time I needed to look over each property and used her extensive knowledge to help me see myself living in each space. The renting market in Beverley is very competitive and Ellie took the time to give me some hints and tips about the rental market and how to make my application stand out. I now live in Ireland and needed to find an estate agent to sell a property in York that could be done remotely.I can highly recommend Linley & Simpson, I was appointed with an agent, Cal Siswick, who was with me every step of the way.A valuation was promptly completed at the expected selling price and photos were taken for marketing, all sent to me for approval. I was informed when the property would be marketed and during the first week I was informed that the property had been sold for the asking price.I just sent the keys over and Cal was able to arrange everything, boiler serviced and a gas certificate issued, viewings, helped me appoint a solictor and all the other stuff, whilst providing a constant update.All I needed to do was make a quick call or send an email and I received an immediate response.I have used other estate agents in York previously, none of whom provided such a high level of service.Fantastic Job, very satisfied.

RESOLVED - Unprofessional, false promises etc.

EDIT - I contacted the branch manager Kelly Boot who resolved my issue quickly and efficiently. She was very helpful and polite, offering sincere apologies and solutions.This has restored my faith in Linley & Simpson and made me a happy tenant. Previous Review - I've been trying to resolve numerous issues in my rented flat since I moved in at the end of 2023. Regarding, lack of advertised furniture, regularly breaking poor quality furniture, issues with lack of hot water or heating for weeks on end during winter months, blinds which are un-openable. Most of which has been ignored, brushed under the rug or lied about.Customer service from the Sheffield branch is awful. The lettings manager Emily is very rude and unprofessional, leaving months without response to important issues. Customer Service Advisors such as Megan are lovely, however still regularly provide false information and false promises that they're unable to stick to.I moved in to half of the furniture in the advert being missing, (a TV, TV stand, coffee table and sofas) I reported this straight away and they sent a poor quality sofa which arms caved in, they have now replaced twice with the same poor quality sofa and this same damage has happened to each one. At this stage they are refusing to help and attempting to blame me for 'malicious damage' - make it make sense.I'm paying a lot to live in this flat and they have no empathy whatsoever. Very very disappointed in this brand and would not recommend. Even student housing have more care.

Amazing!

I had a great and simple experience with Linley & Simpson, myself and my partner was looking for our first home together. Richard Southcoat was there to meet me at the property, he was very friendly and welcoming, (could not ask for a better person to help me through the application process) he was very quick to respond to my emails and very helpful too. I then was put in touch with Jasmine Megaw who helped me through the reference process to which she was also very responsive and friendly. All in all, very good experience with Linley and Simpson.
