GoogleWe bought a house through Burchell Edwards and found our experience very mixed. We were lied to and misled repeatedly, going through 6 months of never knowing where we stood and what was actually true. Towards the end they actually helped us wrap up the sale of the property when no one else seemed to be moving forwards. So that I am grateful for. However I fear for first time buyers who have no prior experience. We got ourselves a mortgage advisor who told us what was true and what wasn't, and stopped us from doing a lot of stupid things which would have cost us a lot of money. Burchell seem to just want to string you up and watch you choke.

GoogleWe needed a mortgage to buy our new house and also a re mortgage on a buy to let property in order to release funds for deposit and renovations on our new house. We used Lee Peck for all our mortgage needs. He spent a lot of time with us talking through our options and was great in explaining everything. He kept us posted through out the whole process and sorted out any issues with lenders queries quickly. He also played a key part in making sure we exchanged on time by keeping in touch with our solicitors on the re mortgage side of things.

I have been calling this agency for the past 3 days with zero response to my calls and emails.No one ever answers the calls, the agents do not reply to any emails.What’s the point in advertising properties for sale when you are too lazy to respond!

The first time I went into burchell edwards, the staff were very polite and welcoming. Me and my partner spoke with Alisha who showed us round some of their properties and Emily helped us with final details of our application to rent our home. They were super helpful and we would always choose Burchell Edwards if we ever needed to move.

I found a property to let through Burchell Edwards. I had Lisa throughout the process who was efficient, timely and honest throughout the entire time. Any query or concern Lisa always contacted me to reassure and let me know exactly what was going on. Upon collection of keys Lisa also ensured all health and safety guidelines were adhered to. Excellence service and I’d recommend to anyone. Thank you again Lisa :)

Unprofessional, unethical and extremely pushy. I have never had an experience like this before where the agent and the vendor wanted to dictate to my partner and I whose services we could use in terms of an advisor. Withdrew our offer as we found a better place, but I would not recommend BE at all. Steer well clear. They make you feel as if you owe them something! Awful experience!

I am a professional landlord & moved over to Burchell Edwards (B.E. ) Some five years ago. I have completed numerous Lettings through B.E. & always found Emily to be extremely competent. Since Christmas 2023 we have completed on three new tenancies ( most recent 25.06.23) and all went smoothly.

Pushy salesman only willing to progress your offer if you use their in house mortgage broker which are no cheaper than a comparison site but charge you £600 for the privaledge. I would never use these to market my house, they get more commission from selling a buyer a mortgage than the sale of your property. They do not act in the best interests of the seller.

As the mortgage went through she checked at every stage that all was going smoothly and followed up on completion to make sure we were happy.

They only do something when it is going to make them money, and the repairs department do not appear to shop round for a good price, after them telling us right back at the start that that was what they were there for. They almost lost us a tenant do to bad management of a boiler repair. I would never use there services again.

Extremely unprofessional. My offer was accepted by the agency. Requested property is removed from the market but it was marked as "Sold STC". A week later I recieved a call to say vendor has received a higher offer. Within 24 hours the property had been removed from the market. No duty of care whatsoever and discriminatory treatment. DO NOT USE THIS AGENCY.

All the staff were excellent. My move was complicated as a chain of 6. I felt informed all the way, the staff were very empathetic and explained all the solicitors technical terms to me very well. I bought from Burchell Edwards. Next time I will definately sell with them!!

GoogleVastly overprice properties. We were looking to sell a property we estimated to be around £125000. We had 2 other agents who valued it at £120000 which we thought were fair and realistic valuations. Burchell edwards valued the same property at £170000. The other agents wanted around 0.75% + vat to sell. Burchell edwards wanted £2000 + vat. We will not be using burchell edwards
