I've rented in two different properties with this company over the past 4-5 years. 4 months into living at one address on a 12 month contract we were asked to decide within the week whether or not we'd sign for another 12 months. When we asked for additional time to consider they retorted that if we did not respond by then end of that week they'd begin to arrange viewings in the property. After having lived at that address for nearly 2 years, we decided to end our contract a few months early as we'd found somewhere else to live, not managed by propertylink. We paid the 'readvertising' fee as stated in our contract, however no advertising of the property was created until we asked about it a few times. An acquaintance had reached out saying they'd like to view the house and possibly take on the contract from us, when I passed their contact details on to propertylink, I received several emails badgering me for the 'readvertising fee', despite having already paid it. When I asked what the fee was used for I was met with hostility. I then posted a review here about this experience. I shortly received an email from Jamie informing me that despite paying the fee, they were "doing us a favour" by letting us out of our tenancy early and that they had no obligation to do so and no obligation to return said fee. Coercion isn't a good look. Our deposit was held with TDS which emailed myself after a few weeks to say they had no response from propertylink and if I could try contact them. When I did I was met with "but we're moving the office, that's why there's maybe a delay". You had no delay in taking a deposit and by that stage 2 months of rent from the new tenants though? In this cost of living crisis, withholding hundreds of pounds from someone for 2 months and no apology just isn't acceptable.

Paid double deposit and 3 month rent in advance. They promised to call and make an appointment to collect keys but never did. When calling to ask, they ask for a number to get back to but they never did. Keys were late for 1 month and they refuse to refund the month that they delayed in giving the keys.

I rented along with other students and property link tried to scam us out of our deposit! They staged photos of 'items' left behind for which they tried to fine us also. Unlucky for them I knew better and had taken photos of every inch of the house when I moved in (and emailed them a copy so as to time stamp the images). We left the house in a much better condition on leaving. We fought their charges through our tenancy deposit scheme and unsurprisingly won. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Dreadful organisation - will milk tenants for everything it can. No communication between staff and beware of the contract they will charge penalties for absolutely everything- - £15 if you don't replace a light-bulb - £ 5 if they have to throw out anything after you move out - even if it was previous tenants - £ 25 admin fee if you forget to cancel a direct debit so they can return it. They also screwed up by telling us that there were going to be people moving in the 1st September - despite the fact that we had signed a contract until the 1st Oct and wanted us to move out early. Do yourself a favour - don't bother.
