Fantastic Communication and Overall Experience

Our move was challenging to say the least thanks to a number of hurdles and difficulties outside the control of Rook Matthews Blyth, but they were first class in making sure our move got over the finishing line. I threw my toys out of the pram a few times along the way and I received a very professional, reassuring and prompt response. I always had the feeling that the staff genuinely cared about delivering a great service and that this is more than just a 9-5 for them. The marketing of our house was great at the start, quick and easy and lots of viewings however hit a stale mate and we ended up needing a second estate agent to market the house. Once the offer was in, issues with information not being shared throughout the chain however on the final 4 weeks before exchange the girls, Victoria and Emma were incredible!! They were on the ball, they were proactive and they were very reassuring! They did absolutely everything they could in those last 4 weeks!!

My wife and I decided to sell our house in early 2022. We met with several Estate Agents but decided to use RMS in Whitley Bay after meeting Alison and being assured of the service they would provide to us. I can say now she did not overstate the level of service they would provide or the competent way they would advertise and handle all enquires for our house. We found a buyer after one week on the market, we actually had 6 offers in during the first weekend's viewing and nearly 20 actual viewings. Alison and the girls, especially Jan kept us fully informed of progress. Unfortunately our potential buyer dropped out due to personal reasons when we were quite a way down the process. I think the RMS staff were almost as upset as we were. The stress of the fall through of the sale badly affected my wife and I so we took our house of the market. We decided to try again early this year, although the market was radically different to the one in 2022. We had no hesitation in putting it up again with Alison and the team About 5 weeks ago we completed the sale of our house. Alison, Jan and everyone else kept us fully informed of progress once again and worked with us to ensure, as best they could, nothing went wrong this time. The team in RMS Whitley Bay are second to none. The customer service is first class and I cannot recommend them enough. Thank you Alison, Jan and everyone at the branch.

I asked 3 different estate agents to value my property but Alison from Whitley Bay RMS was by far the most professional, well prepared and definitely very keen to have the business. The office staff were equally professional and dedicated to find a buyer. I opted for accompanied viewings and always received full details prior to the viewings and feedback after. The first offer fell through but the staff remained positive and supportive, and it wasn't long before another offer was made. I received weekly updates about the progress of the sale so any issues could be resolved quickly. I found every member of staff I dealt with to be very professional and courteous. Reliable Mortgage Service

Used Rook Matthews Sayer for a re-mortgage as a returning customer. Rook Matthews were quick to contact us approximately 6 months ago to remind us that our existing mortgage was due to expire, a service we had not received previously from a different mortgage service which had resulted in us transferring to a standard interest rate and costing us more. The Track My Case option was handy to track progress. Alistair Bowman was our advisor a few years ago and recently. He has been so helpful, identifying the best time to search for a mortgage deal, providing regular updates and an alternative contact if he was unavailable and once a provisional deal was agreed, Alistair continued to check the market to ensure we had the most appropriate deal as interest rates continued to change. He has been honest in his advice, confirming that as we are close to paying off our mortgage, this would be the last time we would require a broker as the range of options in future years would be limited. I would have no hesitation in continuing to use Rooks Matthews and especially Alistair and would recommend them to anyone.

Agents please take care to shut doors/windows/reset alarms after viewings. And it was a good job I checked the figures on completion, as RMS had not deducted the cost of our probate valuation, as promised. Quickly rectified - once pointed out.
