Very disappointing service, overpromised and under-delivered. We had to chase; calls weren't returned and had to be chased. They told us differing things at different times, e.g. first, our buyers had their mortgage, then they came in the following week to discuss mortgages, then something different two weeks later. I have raised level of service several times but feel fobbed off and was told it's normal conveyancing.When we raised concerns we have been told "David Jones should have been more on hand to assist with this, however as David is out of the office most of the time it would be impossible for him to do this".

From our database we can see that we sold this property within 2 days of it joining the market and there after see regular contact between yourself and our Sales Progressor in branch, who updated you on each stage of conveyancing when they had new information from your solicitor. Your buyers had a mortgage in principle, they then came in after to choose their product and again to choose a better rate. All of which our team informed you of when it happened. We are sorry you felt there was a lack of communication on our part, however we do our best to retrieve updates from both solicitors to inform each party of any changes in the conveyancing stage and we hope you can understand that some solicitors are easier to get a hold of than others.Kind Regards,RMS

I would say most people buying/selling homes find it very stressful, a very long process from start to finish.RMS Gosforth made a good impression on me from day one. I was welcomed into the branch to complete my registration forms. Eve made me feel at ease from the first day.I started getting viewings through for my property almost the next day, I dealt with Richard for my bookings who again was a pleasure to deal with.Once I accepted an offer I then got moved to Natalie who looked after me until completion today. Natalie is efficient and excellent in what she does trying to keep communication with all parties going, it is such a stressful time so having someone like Natalie keeping you informed ever step of the way is what everyone needs. (everyone needs a Natalie) !!!!I did speak to others in the Gosforth branch who again were super helpful sorry I can't remember everyone's names.If you are thinking of selling/buying then RMS Gosforth are the people to use.Thank you Natalie for getting my property over the line.

My partner and I are first time buyers and were recommended Alistair Bowman as our mortgage advisor by a close friend. Alistair exceeded our expectations. As first time buyers we did not know what to expect and Alistair talked us through every step of the process, ensuring we had all of the information required to make decisions whilst reducing our stress levels massively. It was not an easy process and we had to renegotiate our agreed sale price due to property valuation. Alistair liaised with the estate agents on our behalf as part of the renegotiation process and we do not feel we would have been able to secure our property without his knowledge and support. Alistair is extremely professional, knowledgeable and an all round lovely person. GoogleMy wife and I decided to sell our house in early 2022. We met with several Estate Agents but decided to use RMS in Whitley Bay after meeting Alison and being assured of the service they would provide to us.
I can say now she did not overstate the level of service they would provide or the competent way they would advertise and handle all enquires for our house.
We found a buyer after one week on the market, we actually had 6 offers in during the first weekend's viewing and nearly 20 actual viewings.
Alison and the girls, especially Jan kept us fully informed of progress. Unfortunately our potential buyer dropped out due to personal reasons when we were quite a way down the process. I think the RMS staff were almost as upset as we were.
The stress of the fall through of the sale badly affected my wife and I so we took our house of the market. We decided to try again early this year, although the market was radically different to the one in 2022. We had no hesitation in putting it up again with Alison and the team
About 5 weeks ago we completed the sale of our house. Alison, Jan and everyone else kept us fully informed of progress once again and worked with us to ensure, as best they could, nothing went wrong this time.
The team in RMS Whitley Bay are second to none. The customer service is first class and I cannot recommend them enough.
