From a buyer's perspective, Emma Mussert from Andrews' Bear Flat, Bath office was an absolutely excellent agent for us. She initially listened to all our feedback on various properties and found us an option that worked really well for our needs. Throughout the buying process, she supported us with focus but without adding any pressure, and was extremely attentive and efficient in removing small blockers and resolving all our questions. A five-star service from Andrews, and especially from Emma!

GoogleEmma Mussert was helpful and responsive. A second viewing was easily arranged and the offer/acceptance process was made possible. However, the money laundering check was not undertaken in the nicest way. It felt like I was being treated as having done something wrong until I could "prove" overwise. Strange feeling when you are trying to buy a new property in a downward market at present... I have no problems with the check, the information needed and why it is required. However, the tone and the manner in which it was completed could have been better. Maybe the process or tone could be improved here, even an online portal (for Andrews generally) with check boxes and document upload ability, so it feels secure. Instead, it felt like I was needing to send absolutely all my private financial information to an Andrews email, and it did not feel secure nor private. It was a difficult and painful process, it nearly put me off continuing trying to get the offer accepted. Probably the worst bit of the whole purchase process.

GoogleI've just completed a house purchase through Bear Flat Branch. Excellent support and service from Emma M from first viewing, all through the solicitors process to completion! Constant progress updates. When contacting the branch if Emma wasn't available I was pleasantly surprised to find all the rest of the team were totally up to speed with what was happening on our house especially during negotiations. Very impressive. All the team I dealt with, Emma also Keith, Rowan, Matt were very knowledgable about the area of the property I was interested in and the market. I felt very confident working with them. I would certainly use them again in the future. P Herman

GoogleWe’ve been on a very long journey with Andrews which started in March 2020 and we finally have a solid offer on our house. Trying to move first during Covid and then in the latest economic turmoil has been really challenging. During all that time the team at Andrews have been brilliant to deal with. The service is personal, friendly, knowledgeable and sensible. In the end we sold our house for less than we had originally hoped for but given the current market we are confident that Andrews helped us to make a sound decision. We want to thank all the lovely staff at the Bear Flat branch. Especially Hamza who did most of our many viewings. He was personable, positive and enthusiastic and we felt really confident in his ability to show our home in its best light.

GoogleWe chose to sell our house with Andrews after renting the house with them for the last 5 years. We were impressed with the service we received from the whole sales team at Andrews Bear Flat. After receiving one low valuation for our house, Rory Mactaggart was reassuring and knowledgeable about what similar houses had sold for recently and was convincing about what we could achieve for our house (and he was spot on!) Once we had accepted an offer, Emily Snell was very diligent and kept us updated on how the sale was progressing with the solicitors. We were also able to get updates from other members of the sales team when people were on annual leave which was appreciated. We would thoroughly recommend Andrews to anyone looking to sell their house in Bath.

We felt Andrews were the best placed in terms of the market sector for the house and their geographical location on Bear Flat. Rory was very professional and impressed me when we first met. We were not disappointed. The sale was very well handled and Matt, who was our day to day contact, achieved a very good price for the cottage. The “after sale” follow up was excellent with very good attention to detail and progress chasing. The whole process went very smoothly to a quick exchange and completion on the same day! We've had our flat listed with a competitor for a while and were keen to get it moving.We had a good meeting with the agent here, he was friendly, knowledgeable and slick, and we said we'd be happy to co-list with them. He tried to pressure us into dropping the asking price to 'attract more viewers with the hope of getting up to what we're after'. I hate this tactic, and don't buy it for a second. He was hoping for a quick sale and to apply pressure when we get a lowball offer. This was the first warning sign. I said no, in writing, confirmed we'd be happy to co-list. I got a contract sent across to me with the price he pushed for and sole listing terms. The following day after this was sent I got 4 reminders before 10am. And he chased me a lot during the working day.I also had a call from the legal team, which again I was pressed to use because it makes the communication threads easier for the agent and solicitor. They gave us a quote twice what we got elsewhere, which they instantly dropped when I said I was getting other quotes. This annoyed me too. I then wrote to our agent and explained I was frustrated. Everything I'd written hadn't been taken into account, and the legal team essentially tried to rip us off. This is exactly what I got back (copied and pasted): Good to know the interest is starting to pick up. Not a problem about missing the calls, appreciate you have a schedule. We do not co list with other agents, the risk involved for you is higher as you may have to pay two estate agency fees so wouldn't advise. Of course would still like to support you in the sale so do let me know if you plan to switch agents. Also unfortunate the experience you have had with the legal team, they will try to be competitive in price where they can hence the discount offered.---No apology. No acknowledgement that he missed the only two things in an email. First time he's said they don't co-list, despite it being the fourth time I'd mentioned it. Doubled down on the idea the legal team should be rinsing us if they get the chance. This is not the service I expected after the reviews here.

My partner and I worked with Andrews to purchase a house in Bath. We worked primarily with Sophia who was more than wonderful! From the first viewing, she was very helpful, positive, and professional. She stayed on top of communicating with the sellers, their solicitors, our solicitors, and everyone else involved. She was knowledgeable about the property and whatever information she didn't have, she made sure to find out and share with us quickly.She checked in with us frequently and made the whole experience much nicer! As we requested a few viewings, we also saw some of the other agents from Andrews, who were all also lovely!Overall we had an amazing experience with Sophia and Andrews as a whole, and we would recommend them to prospective buyers and sellers!

Great personal, caring and genuine service from my local Bear Flat Andrews estate Agents. I had 3 valuations and chose this office because of the initial meeting with Emily...she is interested engaging and very professional as well as being very easy to get on with.It was nice to have some enthusiasm right from the off...unlike a few other places I had valuations from.I was fortunate to sell the house to the first person that viewed it!.....the sale and then transactions were pushed along by Emma who was efficient and helpful. My buyer had a personal crisis in the midst of the sale and Emma handled this with sensitivity and professionalism to complete the whole sale.Keith and Sophie in the office were also really kind and on hand when I had a call or query. Selling your house and in my case business after 25 years was a daunting prospect....however due to the friendly caring people in this office ...the sale went through quickly and without too much stress!!

We found this property on onthemarket.com and contacted Andrews about a viewing. They took a few details and then made an appt for us to view. The day of the viewing came and upon entry to the property we were met and welcomed by a colleague of Andrews who was very friendly but professional and allowed us to look around the property without pressure and answered all our questions promptly and efficiently. He helped us to imagine all our own things in the property and we were excited to get back and apply for the property. 10 out of 10 all round
