GoogleWe have recently bought and sold through Gascoigne Pees and they have been brilliant and supportive throughout a protracted and often tortuous process thanks to a very slow probate application and a number of tyre kickers posing as bonafide buyers. Jim, Kim and Nic were utterly brilliant and we would absolutely recommend anyone to sell and/or buy through them. Thanks, guys!

GoogleFantastic Estate Agent! On Saturday we had a lovely house viewing with Martina from Gascoigne-Pees. We have put an offer in on a different property than the one we saw but that is no reflection on Martina. We wish the property we have offered on was being sold by her! Great experience from the start, Martina was professional, engaging and personable.

GoogleNic and Martina were hugely helpful in the sale of my apartment. Despite it being a difficult market for flats, they were able to find us a buyer within a week. They were prompt in their communications and were always keen to give us advice on our potential onward purchases even when it was listed with other agents. If you are thinking of selling I would absolutely recommend Gascoigne Pees.

These estate agents downright lied to us before moving in about what came with the flat and throughout continued to lie about the interactions we had. Their complaints process is as useless as they are and I'm convinced is completely biased towards the estate agents. They are criminal - do not go anywhere near.

GoogleAn overall great experience. First-time buyer and I was in the property in about 3 months (which wasn’t half-bad). They were quick to respond to phone calls, and very helpful. Quite frankly, the house sold itself, but I’d still like to shout out thanks to Connor for helping to get me in a good position to make the purchase.

GoogleWe had an amazing experience with Gascogne and Pees, from the professional view of the house we visited to the open-house event. Any minor issue was followed with attention and the staff, all very friendly, chased when a prompt response was required from the other parties. The welcome to the new house pack was the final nice detail. Thank you very much to the team all.

GoogleWe were the buyers for a property being sold with G & P. We were unfortunate enough to have a bad experience with our solicitors, but we are so grateful that G & P’s were on the ball and always at the end of the phone to help smooth things over. Without fail, they would always return calls, reply to emails and were very attentive with any question we had. We would like to say a special thank you to Jim who was dealing with the property, who was always so calm, so polite, and just generally a really nice person! Jim was so easy to deal with and on the ball, without him I fear the sale would have fallen through. When it comes to selling our current property, we will 100% go through G & P. I’d also like to thank the office, as the lady we often spoke to on the phone was really friendly and without fail always passed our messages on. Thank you again, from two very happy first time buyers (Nicola and Jay).

GoogleI have been renting through Gascoigne Pees for the last 18months. Carly has been my main point of contact. I have found her to be very polite, professional and knowledgeable - she has always been able to answer my questions and has been happy to help and advise me re any concerns that I have had. I am now in the process of extending my contract for another year. Carly so far has again been my main point of contact which I am very pleased about. Carly in my opinion is an employee that Gascoigne Pees should be proud of.

GoogleUnfortunately my entire experience of purchasing a property with Gascoigne Pees in Basingstoke has been a very poor experience and I will be sure never to use them again. They advertised the property as having no-chain, not only on the listing, but also in person when showing me round, which obviously made it very appealing. The first agent to show me around was Emily who admitted that she had just come back from holiday and knew nothing about the property... not a great start and very unprofessional, however the owner of the house had taken such care in providing detailed information that it sparked an interest. On returning to the property we saw a new agent James who knew an awful lot more than Emily, however didn't convince me enough to purchase. On the third visit, we were lucky enough to meet the seller of the property and she absolutely is the only reason we bought this property. She took care in showing us everything and it was obvious that she had put a lot of love into the house. We then started the purchasing process and made our feelings clear of when we would need to complete due to our jobs and giving notice on our current rented property. Although there was some (expected) push back, there was never any real issues, until we were bombarded with correspondence from Andrew who persisted to tell us that there was in fact a chain on the property and that we must complete when told or our sellers property would fall through and to think of our sellers health as it isn't very good. This is completely unacceptable, as it is not only false advertising but also emotional blackmail. We of course rushed through the process, as our seller had been so wonderful throughout the process, much to the delight of the Gascoigne Pees team as they received their commission without having to do any real work. The only thing we asked for, was that a member of the team meet us at the property so we could check it over quickly before accepting the keys, it was suggested by Andrew Blake that James could do this and so James agreed. We waited to have a confirmed time that he would meet us at the property, as we had taken a day of annual leave especially, organised moving vans etc and on the day of our completion, we still hadn't heard anything, we phoned and were told that James would get back to us... he did, to tell us he was too busy and that we would have to get the keys from the store. The service they provided was dismal and I will be sure to let everyone I ever meet know not to use them. It's a shame that I have to give them 1 star, I wish there was an option for 0.

James is hard working & knows his role very well although at the same time down to earth & friendly. All the guys in the Basingstoke office have been superb and a pleasure to purchase the property via the team. Thanks to everyone for there hard work.

GoogleChris (the letting manager) and Gemma are an embarrassment to the Gascoigne-Pees brand. Extremely rude and obnoxious. Even had Chris give me an ultimatum of 'If you're not moving in tomorrow then you're not moving in at all' - To which I responded 'I'm trying to find a resolution and don't appreciate the attitude' I then got shouted at down the phone saying 'Neither do I!' and he went on a big rant. Baring in mind that they told me 3 days before that I had to move in because it's not like I have a job or anything and need a bit more notice than that. I came to a compromise and called back and said I can do 9AM on the 28th to move in so I would be a bit late for work. This time I spoke to Gemma who told me they don't do appointments before 11. I simply asked why is that as you guys want me to move in on that date and I'm willing to compromise to get it done. Gemma then let out a big sigh and said 'Ask my company director!'. Absolutely disgusted with this, that is what I did. I managed to get in contact with Samantha Dover, The regional director. She was very apologetic, helpful and professional (which was nice for a change). Samantha emailed the whole team and CCD me in where she stated that they will make this happen. Someone will be there at 9AM to give me the keys etc. Now Virginia and Carly were excellent as they were the main people I were dealing with. They had a great attitude and very helpful but due to the unprofessionalism from Gemma and Chris, I will not be using Gascoigne-Pees in the future. Noticing there is quite a few negative comments about Gemma and Chris I am shocked that Gascoigne-Pees are still making there customers have to deal with such poor service. To sum up the main negatives about Chris and Gemma (as I feel that someone should strongly do something about this) are -Rude and arrogant. -Make false promises. -When I did the video chat to Chris to view the property he was anything but a salesman/professional. Was talking to me with a beanie on in the most unprofessional manor, had a cigarette and lighter in his hand and was just rude. The main reason I did not walk was down to the property as I wanted it and wasn't going to let this ruin it for me however it did ruin the experience. Thanks to Samantha, Virginia and Carly for trying to make up for the poor service from Chris and Gemma. However, whilst Chris and Gemma are still working there I would strongly recommend people go elsewhere than deal with Gascoigne-Pees.

GoogleBest experience i had ever faced with an estate agent thanks to Carly. Not very many property's take on tenants with pets so as a dog owner i was on the look out, Carly not only informed me of a property that had come to market just in case i hadn't seen it but she also bent over backwards to help me get a viewing out of business hours so i didn't miss the opportunity (as i work an hour outside Basingstoke). once id viewed and decided I wanted the property she put me forward for referencing where a small mistake had been made by the Referencing company. No questions asked Carly picked up the phone and had the problem fixed that same Morning which was so reassuring as i didn't have to wait to know it was all ok . I have a couple of time spoken to Gemma regarding some questions i had whilst Carly was out of the office and Gemma was also very happy to help despite not dealing with me previously. overall my experiences with Gascoigne Pees has been very pleasant.

Communication was excellent throughout the whole process of selling our house and we were informed how it was progressing on a regular basis. Jim Gordon, Kim and Martina were superb and a real pleasure to deal with. I would recommend this company and would certainly use them again.

This was during lock down, so we couldn't view the property and services were limited. Despite this, Chandon Bell from the Basingstoke office went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed to secure the property. Response time is quick and the high level of personal care from Chandon is much appreciated!

Nic, Kim, Martyna, Connor and the whole team were on hand and took the time to keep me informed and even when things got tough with getting answers from my buyer they kept going and pushed. GoogleRecently sold our house through Gascoigne-Pees and couldn't have been happier with the service. We were kept up to date throughout the whole process and all of the agents were willing to help. The photos looked great and we got an offer within the first Few weeks. A special mention to Ashley and Catriona who dealt with us on a daily basis but as mentioned the whole team was approachable and willing to look into any enquiry for us. Would definitely recommend them and use them again.

I had the worst experience ever using Gascogne Pees to fully manage my property. They consistently chose the more expensive contractors who did not deliver good service and failed to honor warranties. After 4 years of their management, my property was in a dire state. I ended up spending over £20,000 on repairs and restoration. The staff, from lettings to property management, were unhelpful, rude and ineffective. Never again.

GoogleWe are so thankful to Simon and his team for helping us find a home! Renting as a foreigner isn’t always easy and Simon made it a very simple process and kept us in the loop the whole way through. The service, communication and speed is very professional and I’d highly recommended them.
