GoogleWe bought our property through Gascoigne pees. They were 100% on top of the buying and selling process. As well as keeping tabs on the whole of the chain, they made sure that everything happened as expected even when there were a couple of 'hic cups 'along the way. GoogleWe found a house through Gascoigne-Pees and Kim our dedicated estate agent made us feel very special and comfortable. When we had problems with the exchange of contracts, Nic, the manager, stepped in and sorted it all out so that we finally completed the purchase. We are now in our lovely house and we are very grateful to the whole team from Gascoigne-Pees for all their support and help. I find it almost laughable how this letting agency behaves. When you’re signing a contract, they bend over backwards to act friendly and helpful, but the second you’re moving out, the entire façade collapses. Their true colors show, and suddenly you’re dealing with rudeness, attitude, and a complete lack of basic professionalism. My experience with this agency at the end of my tenancy was extremely negative, and one staff member in particular, Freya, made the situation even worse. In my opinion, she spoke to me with absolutely no respect and seemed to think that talking to tenants in a dismissive, condescending manner was acceptable. From my interaction with her, it’s clear she has a lot to learn about how to communicate professionally. Some of the comments she made were completely unnecessary, and honestly, she would benefit from learning when it’s better to keep certain remarks to herself rather than speaking to people the way she did. This kind of attitude is unacceptable in any customer-facing role, and I strongly believe she needs proper customer service training. My overall impression is that she is not equipped to speak with tenants in a respectful or professional way, and that absolutely needs to be addressed. No member of staff has the right to speak to me the way she did. Because of this, I will be taking this complaint further through the appropriate channels, and I will be sharing my experience publicly so other tenants are aware of how they may be treated. This kind of behaviour is unacceptable, and I refuse to let it go unaddressed.

These agents in Basingstoke pressured me into making a holding deposit after seeing a property that I was interested in. I provided all the details for reference checks. They later came back telling me that my employers declined giving a reference until my probation is ended which is no fault of mine. I have contacted my employers personally on more than one occasion to get this sorted out, but was not successful. This agency contacted me requesting for a guarantor and as a foreigner, I could not provide the needed guarantor (UK home owner with £44k annual salary). The next few hours, the property was back on the market without saying anything to me about my holding deposit. When I contacted them, they told me I have provided false and misleading information (failed reference checks) which was very shocking to me. Avoid them at all cost.

GoogleWe recently sold our property via Gascoigne Pees and can’t recommend them enough. We managed to get it sold before the for sale sign went up and at full asking price! Nic, Kim and the team could not do enough to help and i would highly recommend!

I cannot thank Emily (head of lettings, Farnham office) enough for finding me new tenants after poor experience with previous agent (a completely different company.) She achieved a 35% increase in gross rent for me, too! I noted more proactivity in 3 weeks from GPees than in 3 years from their predecessors. I was kept fully informed before and after every viewing, and despite most viewings taking place in appalling wet weather there was never a sign of recent footfall across the brand new carpet. If I could give them six stars, I would!

GoogleI recently sold my property in Basingstoke through Gascoigne-Pees and I can say that the whole team associated with my sale were absolutely brilliant. I invited four companies to do a valuation on my house and while they all did a good job of assessing the property, providing a guide price and explaining the process, I felt that the gentleman who I met from Gascoigne-Pees came across as being more professional, well-informed and plausible without over selling the company. I felt confident that they would do their best to secure the right buyer, one who would not disappear part way through the sale process. Someone in the team was always available to answer or refer any queries that I had. When one person in the chain lost interest, a replacement was promptly found for them so everything could progress smoothly. From the initial meeting through to the open day and completion, the entire team at Gascoigne-Pees Basingstoke were very professional, helpful, polite, friendly, and tenacious in getting my property sold. I can thoroughly recommend Gascoigne-Pees.

In particular many thanks to Kayleigh Rogerson, Carly Byrne, and Gemma Williams, we really appreciate all the effort you've put in this journey with us and I hope this good relationship shall continue . We spotted our ideal property online and were keen to view it asap. The team kindly arranged the viewing for us as soon as they could taking into account our working hours. When we arrived at the property a person was there waiting and could not have been more friendly and helpful. She was extremely knowledgeable about the property and was super patient with all our questions. We were so glad she showed us around and took the time to understand what we were looking for without any pushy pitches. Working with the team was an absolute pleasure. I would recommend GP anytime. I cant wait for my move in date which is tomorrow and I am super excited.

GoogleRight from the start we felt comfortable, the team were really friendly and knowledgeable. Jim Gordon in particular was very helpful and great to talk to, we couldn't have done it without him. The photographer took stunning photos which really showed off the features of the house. We decided to go with an open day, which was fully booked within 24 hours of advertising. Of those who veiwed the house, more than half put in offers. The team did an excellent job of keeping us informed and guiding us through the process. The house was SSTC within a week. We had issues with the solicitors, Jim went above and beyond to help keep momentum to see us through to completion. The fees were reasonable and competitive, especially given the level of service we recieved. Overall, the Gascoigne-Pees Sales Team really do believe that fostering good relationships with their clients is the key to success, making the time and effort to put them first, keep them at ease during one of the most stressful processes, and always giving the best advice.

I was looking for professionalism and good communication which was key as I do not live locally to the house. The team were really friendly and knowledgeable and a special mention to Connor who went above and beyond in supporting me. I understood the whole process and was informed at each stage thanks to Nic and Martina. I went with an open day, the valuation was excellent, I would recommend GP to anyone who was thinking of selling their property they are a pleasure to deal with.

GoogleSelling our brother’s house was a very painful experience and Jim made it less so with his kind attitude and knowledgeable experience. He was not pushy and this made him seem very trustworthy. He was very supportive and we really felt he wanted to make it the whole process as easy as possible. Nic was also very efficient and kept us updated with all developments along the way.
