A fantastic 5* service!

When I got to view the property on Bede Road initially, I wasn't interested as such as I felt it's a property that has a lot of demand and I felt like with the competition I would not be able to win the property. I spoke to Waqas after the viewing and he suggested the VIP home finder service to me, a service where I could get into see properties before they hit the online market and he suggested to meet Faisal Noor, the in house mortgage adviser, once I became a member of the VIP service and saw Faisal to work out my maximum affordability, I made an offer on the property and it got accepted the very same day! I would highly recommend the VIP Home finder Service and would Highly recommend Douglas Allen Chadwell heath! Everything is going through smoothly and we are set to complete on the property very soon.

Highly recommend Adam and the Douglas Allen team

Adam has been very helpful, informative, polite, approachable, and whilst keeping us constantly updated about the property.Adam develops a really good relationship with the customer and understands their needs and expectations. The property we were interested about became unavailable as another customer offered more than what we did, but later on it became available again. Adam was the first one to call us immediately as he was aware of our interest on the property. Chadwell Heath Branch excellent service

Chadwell Heath Branch - excellent!From the time we met Michelle we felt we could just relax and let her and her team get on with the sale of our house. We had been with another agency and basically wasted the whole summer. In 3 days Michelle and the Chadwell Heath team booked in 60 viewings for the open day, then sent round 2 agents to greet the viewers while we left them to it. It was amazing, we walked away seeing queues of interested buyers on our drive. We love the online service, you can see the offers coming in and they certainly did, for the asking price and more. Our house sold to a buyer from the open day, basically 3 days to sell it. The team continue to help with regular weekly updates on each stage of the sale process. As we move towards the finish line, a big thank you to Michelle and her sales team plus Charlotte and Tanya for the updates. Have already recommended you to friends and neighbours.

My husband and I cant thank Douglas Allen enough, every one was so helpful, I admit to finding the whole process a bit stressful, however with people such as the wonderful Chelsea Baldwin on your side things were a lot easier. Adam Jabbar, Jo Butler and Dave Tomlins were great as the sales team. Douglas Allen isn't the cheapest in the High St, I'm a firm believer you get what you pay for, the fee was money well spent.... Quick and easy sale at good price

I've recently sold my property through the Wickford branch and all staff were extremely helpful in this surprisingly quick sale considering the current climate. Christy and her team were in touch on a weekly basis with any updates along with helpfully reminding me about viewings and were always very quick to get feedback from viewings. I was also referred to a mortgage advisor who helped up going through the costs of moving house and what we could borrow. Would highly recommend.

Wickford team of Douglas Allen have been amazing since I started looking for a house. A few Saturdays ago I visited three branches in wickford. Temme English, Quirks and Douglas Allen. Christy was a breath or fresh air compared to the other agents I saw. Professional and friendly and actually took a genuine interest in why I was looking to move and how she could help me. It felt like I was speaking to a friend. I haven’t found a home yet but with Christy calling me weekly with updates of properties, I’m sure it won’t take her long to find me something. I haven’t got a house to sell but if I did, Douglas Allen would be my agent of choice.

Rude and pushy staff

Dealt with the Saturday team Spencer and Alastair today. Wasted my time in bringing me in to tell me someone had put in an offer of the property I was interested. Rude and Pushy overall wasn’t interesting in showing me property’s unless I went with their mortgage adviser.Think this reply is absolutely ridiculous. There was no need to liar in order to bring in to your office, how does this have a ‘friendly approach’ when your staff are blunt and rude? No other agencies needed to find out if I am in a strong position, as I already had a mortgage in principal set up. This just show how unprofessional and inexperienced your company is!!

I’ve been viewing properties for the last few weeks now and out of all the agents I’ve been speaking to, Douglas Allen in Wickford have been by far the best. Christy in particular has been friendly, approachable and extremely informative. Nothing seems to be too much trouble. With other agents it feels they don’t even want you to view the properties they are supposedly trying to selling. Christy however is constantly calling me and even lets me know about property before it’s on the internet. Honestly can’t thank her or recommend her enough. Thank you Christy!

Being a first time buyer I was unsure where to start, however after speaking to Christy she quickly helped my nerves settle and explained exactly what I needed in place to start my property search. From the outset, the team at Douglas Allen have been very helpful. Nothing seemed rushed and time was taken to fully establish our requirements in order to properly market the house. In particular Christy was very helpful arranging the viewings and even took the trouble to check the property so she knew what it was like to be able to describe it to potential purchasers and also to ensure it was offered to a wide audience. She has always been very personable and helpful and nothing seemed too much trouble. Once we had sold the team continued their support right up to exchange, ensuring we were not left on our own. It is fair to say there were a few minors problems on the journey, but these were dealt with efficiently and promptly being resolved to our satisfaction. Happy to recommend the team.

We recently bought through Douglas Allen and they were super helpful and friendly the whole way through the process. To begin with alot of estate agents sometimes seem like they don't want people viewing houses they are listing, making it difficult to get through to anyone, not calling back about bookings etc... It was a breath of fresh air when Christy got in touch from Douglas Allen and was friendly, professional and very helpful. She gave us a list of appropriate houses and the one we ended up on was one she had suggested and we had not considered in our initial rightmove list. From here we were set up with the in-house mortgage advisor Alistair who spent a long time with us as we went through all the options and we ended up saving a lot of money thanks to his help. After this, Natasha has been handling the progression and has kept us updated the whole way. To be honest - I have had generally pretty bad experiences with estate agents in the past but Douglas Allen in Wickford have been perfect and made what would be a very stressful process very simple. I suggest going with them and using all of their in-house services (Alistair and jslaw solicitors) - you'll have an easier life and save money too!

After 7 months without a real offer on my house sale I thought changing Estate agents would do little. Steve Ford, came, he saw, he sold! He came well prepared with all the information to back up his claims to make a sale and to make the very best representation of my property. Disgraceful Estate Agent with no shame

In April 2019 a house came up for Sale on Mortlake Road ilford. We went to view the house and absolutely loved it. However.....Douglas Allen ruined EVERYTHING. Because we had a buy to let mortgage we were advised by Nabeel one of the consultants there that due to the property having polystyrene ceilings we were unable to buy it as when it came to valuation it would be a nil valuation. What a lie! I was advised by other agents that that should not have been a reason for me to be turned down. I had everything they required to buy the house...I even used their Solicitor which I was advised by Ali another consultant at Douglas Allen that if I used their solicitor I would be in a better position to buy the house as the sale would go through easily if accepted. My elderly parents loved the house we even put the highest offer as was told by Ali but Nabeel turned us down. He made us run around and gave the house to someone else. I compaoned to them and their senior told me that as the other party had all documents acted 'swiftly' the house was given to them. That is a lie! Simply because on the first viewing as soon as we viewed the house that same day we put offer forward and got our stuff together. They really upset me and my elderly parents. They promise but do not deliver. A bunch of cowboys! We did EVERYTHING they had asked and they turned us down. I think they get joy out of making people run around. They should understand that buying a house is a stressful time and they should help people fulfill buy their dream home not play chess with human lifes!
