Unprofessional! Tried to arrange a viewing of a property with this estate agent - Chadwell Heath office. They took our details at the beginning of the week - that we're not in a chain, mortgage in place, budget etc. Agent told us he would get back to us about a viewing. Didn't hear anything at the end of the day or following morning. So I called and enquired what's happening? They said they were trying to sort out a date with the seller. This went on all week always the same reply. We have not had this experience with any other agent; a long delay in sorting out a viewing or not being forthcoming with information as we asked is the property 'under offer'. Friday afternoon my husband calls again same thing. Later this evening I see the property shows on a website as 'sold stc'. They wasted our time by not just sharing basic information that an offer is being considered. Many other agents have the decency and professionalism to do this. Told a few other people this evening what happened and when I told them who the agent was. They all had negative experiences of this estate agent. Spoke to several of their staff over the week between my husband and I. Hope this makes others aware what they're like and they'll waste your time.

GoogleWe put our house on the market the week before Christmas 2022. Alex came to value the house and it was like talking to a friend! He was so personable and really wanted to help - we were relocating out of the area asap due to a job opportunity. We didn’t feel that they wanted to under value the house or just make a “quick sale” at all. We had lots of viewings arranged very quickly. We sold on the last day of January and Stuart negotiated the price fantastically for us. We were then passed over to Natasha who progressed our sale. She was absolutely fantastic and kept us in the loop every few days during the progression. She chased things up very regularly and I didn’t feel I once had to call to find out “what was going on”. The communication with Douglas Allen was impeccable from day 1. They listened to what we wanted from start to finish and everyone is so warm and friendly. I feel that they genuinely care about their customers and want to really help sell or find our home. The sale of the house went through so perfectly and we moved into our new property up north on 13th April - 3 months and 24 days! Thank you to everyone at Douglas Allen for being awesome!

The reason I contacted DA was because I had purchased in 2005 and was extremely happy with the service. That day an appointment was made for a valuation for James and Kaitlin to come round. They visited me last Friday and within less than a week I have had over 8 viewings without it even being online or pictures being taken. I have an offer already which is absolutely amazing. Unfortunately I believed what the branch manager said Douglas Allen would do to promote and sell my property. In reality it all comes down to the price of your property with them and the constant calls to lower the price to get the sale. They stopped giving feedback after a while. The property went missing from all websites for a week which they didn't even notice so shows they do not monitor visitor traffic. They also completely ignore questions in emails. They charge one of the highest commission fees and don't do what I did and think you get for what you pay. You don't. Avoid!
