What a terrible experience. After initially winning our business with false promises and a lofty valuation, a week went by and we hadn’t seen any progress. DA are not pro active enough, claiming they are doing everything to sell the property with no evidence. They wait for buyers to come to them, claims were made around outbound calling etc which I doubt. Everything was taking an age, from listing the property to receiving a phone call back with an update, not that there was much of one to give. Pulled the plug within my 14 day cooling off period (industry standard), went with another local EA and sold within 5 days. Douglas Allen hide behind stats, if you want a personal service from an EA who care and respect you, go down the road to Temme English. Ironically, Douglas Allen are so slow that our house was up for sale in their window at the time that we sold as they forget to take it down.

Having used Douglas Allen before I didn't hesitate to use them again to sell my current house, Alex arrived and straight away was friendly and professional in his approach. As to the valuation of my property, amd in the current climate he was honest and fair with the price. I agreed the with the valuation and decided to sell through Douglas Allen and within a few days pictures were taken of the property and with in a week the house was listed on all the major housing apps, i was then introduced to their mortgage advisor Andrew, who was professional, his knowledge of products and services was very well received and has helped me obtain a new mortgage offer and life insurance. My house sold in around 4 weeks, so they must of plugged away with plenty of marketing as had a lot of viewings in the first few weeks, which is always good. House sale agreed and Natasha has been the point of contact and has kept me informed of whats going on with the sale / enquiries by way of email. If you want a professional property company that will put the effort into selling your house and give you an honest service then look no further than Douglas Allen. 5 stars all the way. Well done Wickford branch keep up the good work.

I’ve had the pleasure of buying and selling a house with Douglas Allen Wickford. In both instances the team were very kind and attentive throughout. They always kept me updated, and I especially liked how personable they were, it always felt like I was talking to a friend. Stuart, Terry, Chloe and Natasha are amazing! A special shout out to Andy as well, who helped to secure the mortgage when I purchased the house initially. We sold our house through Douglas Allen after using them previously and being impressed. Stuart was great at assessing the market and the value of our home advising us to put it up at the right, achievable price. Selling at an uncertain time with change in government, cost of living crisis etc was unsettling but Stuart and Alex were able to secure viewings and ultimately a couple of offers which lead to our sale. The use of MyDouglasAllen app was brilliant as I could keep track of interest in our house, viewings booked, feedback and offers. Natasha was our post sale point of contact and always available to answer the numerous questions we had to ensure the sale progressed swiftly and smoothly. My partner and I have been looking for a property to rent in London. We came across a property that we were really interested however it took a long time for us to hear a feedback from the Landlord and thought we wouldnt be getting the property. We were surprised when we received a call from them updating us and recommending another property that is to our liking. We didnt expect for them to be very proactive, helpful and really good communicators. We appreciate there help so much. We then have an interest to another property and went through the referencing process. We thought it was really tedious process but they were very supportive. When we had some questions they were really quick to pick up the phone and help us with our queries especially Jodie. She was a very lovely person. We then had to back out in renting the property due to some personal reasons. When we explained to them they were very understanding. They still supported us and continued to be good communicators. I couldn't recommend Douglas Allen at Wickford highly enough. Stuart & Jazz made the valuation and viewings so straight forward & didn't put us under any pressure to drop the price unlike other estate agents we've used in the past.
