From the first meeting, we felt confident in him, he knows his stuff and comes across very well - professional and took time to understand our situation. Would avoid at all costs. Over price your house then encourage you to drop the price after a week when it has no interest.Constantly say they’re emailing and calling potential buyers, when the website statistics say different. Everything is done at a snails pace. After we switched estate agents they left the house up for sale in the window for 3 weeks even though we weren’t selling with them anymore… that’s how absent minded they are. If you want a stress free and smooth sale go with Temme English. If you want to sell your house for £20k less than it’s worth go with Alex at Douglas Allen.

I have just sold my flat after trying unsuccessfully with another agent. Steve from Douglas Allen was confidant he could help and showed me evidence of many local sales the branch had achieved. Greg was brilliant on the viewings and I moved last week. Thanks to Keith too and I am glad I decided to switch as I think I would still be on the market if I had stayed with the smaller agent.

David took instruction to market my house and arranged for an open house on A Saturday, on the Tuesday I had a phone call from David to advise me that there had been a number of offers.I was very impressed that it had taken less than 3 weeks from instruction to sold. I must say I have been searching with Douglas Allen Chingford and I have found Jess and James extremely helpful they have kept me updated always make time for me and have tried their hardest to find me a home. I have now found a house unfortunately not with Douglas Allen but the experience I received from James and Jess was second to none and in the future they would be the first I'd call.

There were several instances where I had to follow up multiple times to get a response, and the agent seemed to lack knowledge about the properties they were showing. In addition, there were several mistakes in the paperwork that caused delays in the process. I would suggest that improve communication and attention to detail to provide a better experience for your clients."
