GoogleMy experience as a landlord in dealing with BASILDON BELVOIR has been a nightmare. I have not come across inefficient and dishonest agent such these . Although I have taken off my business of this agent nearly six months ago, They have held on to the tenants deposit without giving any reason by the woman who handles account called Keely Taylor. My new agent has been and continuing effortlessly to try and retrieve the deposit of the tenant but unfortunately Keely Taylor ignores replying and does not give reason for refusing to release the deposit fund .I would never touch this agent with a barge pole.
Rina, your dispute was dealt with at the time,via several emails to you, your tenants and the new agent.

I was promised the property I was moving in to would be cleaned, IT WASENT. every time I spoke to them they just fobbed me off. The girls that work there talk down to you. I was told to decorate, the day the I finished I was told I needed a guarantor all over again to renew my contract. Once I called them and gave £500 and I explained that I was sorry but the other £295 would be 9days late because my job had stopped, keeley (manager) was fine on the phone but as soon as she got off she emailed my guarantor saying if it's not paid by her they would take her to court. Ha ha none of what they is right. After they served my section21 they were still sending me letters asking me when I'll be in the office to renew the contract. Time and time again they got things WRONG!!. Rubbish customer service. Everytime I asked them who to complain to, I was told keeley was the director of the whole franchise. Lies lies lies I could go on and on... Iv still not had my deposit back.
Nicola your deposit was held with the DPS and they saw through the return of the deposit. If you have not had it I would suggest you contact them. You had every opportunity after the check out to put your case forward. I have a copy of the DPS repayment advise and you agreed to the repayment, if you hadn't then you and us would have had to present our findings from the check out. I find it strange you have taken to a review site rather than using the deposit scheme for what is is there for. We have had confirmation you have had the deposit repaid so perhaps you could amend your review please.

I have been a landlord for the past 18 years and have used Belvoir Lettings in Basildon for the past 5 years. I have found them to be very professional in the management of my property portfolio. They have extensive knowledge of the rental market in my area and keep me up to date with any legislative changes as and when they occur. Their maintenance department always ensure prompt repairs where necessary. They are a pleasure to work with.

GoogleI rarely leave negative feedbacks but some things must be said. When you live in a property for 5 years you expect some decent things such as not having to put towels under door during autumn and winter months . Additionally given the property was rented as furbished you would expect minimum chages to be done in the same ammount of time and not have to use rusted items despite several callouts being done both e-mail and ' property visits'. It s as simple as that if you chose this rental company you will get in my opinion nothing but promisses and money taken out of account without any lack of any quality of living. As a bonus at the end of tenure they will take money from your deposit to buy other things to replace the rusted ones since you moved in as for some reason nothing was seen across at last 12 visits. This review is based as well on my 9+ years of living in uk and 3 different agencies definitely last one was the worst and least involved in the safety and quality of life for their tenants.

GoogleVery unprofessional. A viewing was arranged and cancelled 20 minutes before the time. After I called a reschedule was promised but this also didn't happen. They were basically blaming one another for not contacting me. I guess these days only sellers are valued customers for some estate agents.
Sorry to hear this, we did have to cancel due to a change in the circumstances which was why this was not rebooked.

The worst agency ever, every time when the rent is coming they call for the money but when is a problem with something like washing machine or something else, Says if you don't like you can move how such like that is possible when you are paying a lot of money so people stay away from Basildon branch

GoogleAbsolutely hopeless as letting agents. The people are pleasant enough to deal with, but they are so disorganised and muddled. They don’t pass messages back and forth from landlord/tenant, you can never anyone to call you back, they don’t seem to keep records of anything, they don’t follow up on anything, or work quickly to get issues resolved. And each time you speak to them you have to explain it all again. Very frustrating. Over promise, under deliver and quite amateurish. Recommend you avoid.
