FacebookI’ve witnessed shocking business practice by this company on two occasions now (the latest this morning and prompting this review).
Viewing scheduled was supposedly cancelled via email on the morning. No email received and my mother in law had already travelled 150+ miles for the viewing (which they knew). That isn’t how you do business.
Secondly, the company and its representative employees are incapable of providing accurate and objective valuations of the properties they sell. The price of the property referred to above was about £25-30k over the going market rate for similar spec (listing incorrectly stated the house was semi-detached in the first instance when in fact it was end terrace). Similarly they valued our property ~2 years ago at about £20-30k less than market value (again, wrongfully assuming our house was a 3 bed and not a 4 bed). These are the basics of any estate agent.
I would not recommend this company to anyone wishing to buy/sell in the Barry area as it is evident in at least my interactions with the company that they are incompetent at doing the basics of their job.

Dear Mr Roberts, I am sorry, you feel this way. But, we had a long conversation with your relative on Thursday and she explained that her wishes were to not visit the property if it was not reduced within her price range. Unfortunately, the seller didn't and wouldn't want to reduce to the price she had mentioned. Therefore we sent an email cancelling (I have forwarded the email that we sent on Thursday, cancelling the appointment as she requested we did). We thanked her for bringing to our attention the fact it was an end of link property and not a semi detached property. Prices of property are often indicated by sellers and we merely try a figure as instructed to do so. We were more than happy to take your relative today if she so wished as explained on the telephone. We have also confirmed this again today in writing via email. I can understand that she was disappointed but it really wasn't necessary to swear obscenities at my colleague who was merely trying to sort an alternative time for her if she required.

While on the phone I consulted with my partner regarding certain questions; the woman on the phone didn't like this and said to "call back when I'm prepared" and hung up with a very rude attitude. Wish I knew her name. They called at half 9am, when most people are working. If you don't have the patience for me to consult with my partner, then email like previously instructed, I had told her I was consulting my partner so there is no excuse. Some people cannot talk via phone for various reasons. Customer service training is very much needed.
