GoogleI have had really bad luck with other estate agents in Barrow but when I moved Poole Townsend, everything changed. They were not only the cheapest they were the most responsive and after two years of trying to sell a property that was not very desirable I completed on a sale after much hard work from Becky Garnett and the Poole town and Team.I can thoroughly recommend them

GoogleAs a landlord, staff are friendly and helpful. They manage properties extremely well with regular inspections and quick responses to emails and actioning tenants requests for work that needs doing promptly. Would recommend them to anyone for buying, selling and renting.

Facebookbought a house from them and it was a totally nightmare I wanted to walk away from the house their solicitors are terrible never get back in contact with my solicitors. I would advice not to buy or sell your property with them.

GoogleI am completely disgusted with the service received from the Barrow Branch here! Numerous issues with my rental property for over a year now and they still aren’t resolved! False promise after false promise to contact me to get them resolved and never happens. Hound you if it’s something they need doing like an inspection or boiler servicing! However when it comes to fixing problems with your rental absolutely useless and repeatedly pass the buck onto the next colleague.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism

They were very responsive to emails, kept us updated throughout the process and went out of their way to help us. The sales and legal team were very professional and efficient, ensuring that everything went smoothly. A couple of the staff went above and beyond what was expected to help us with some of the issues that we had during the sale during COVID and we were very grateful for that. FacebookI wanted to say how impressed I am with the service we received from Poole Townsend when selling our daughters flat. After a terrible experience with another local estate agent and the property sticking on the market for over a year, we moved to Poole Townsend who secured a very quick sale. The negotiators kept us updated every step of the way and the solicitors worked very quickly. I would definitely recommend them to anyone wishing to sell in the South Lakeland area.

FacebookI don’t often review many things but Poole Townsend seemed oblivious to my situation. After being on the housing market for a number of years with Poole’s. I decided that after a whole twelve viewings (which am assured is a lot) and comments of modernisation being required. Combined with the continual insistence from Poole’s to lower our asking price I decided to redecorate. I temporarily withdrew the house from the market and saved my money and began redecorating which took me over a year to complete. On my return to the market I was informed that I would need a new evaluation of the property due to the length of time off the market. I could appreciate the need for it the house had been on the market for years and things had changed. I had noticed other properties similar to my own had stagnated. The market had slowed down in my area and I knew the implications of this and understood that Poole’s and myself would have to lower the asking price. On the day of the evaluation I was prepared to see some facts and figures and be given some examples of why the property had to have a lower asking price. However the appraiser had a different strategy this was to find the negatives in the property for example. The substandard decorating in some of the rooms, outdated rooms, Age of appliances and the list continues with the only redeeming fact being the one thing out of my control which was the size of the rooms. I found this approach to be insensitive and derogatory. Then with a pleasant smile removes ten thousand pounds from my original asking price. However what was strange was the perplexed look on the appraisers face when I defiantly defend my original asking price. At least the final comment from the appraiser was something that we could both agree on “Poole Townsend is not the estate agents for me”. This was my own experience with Poole’s everything is fine until you become a burden. Then it’s comply or be removed.

GoogleWhilst dealing with the staff at Poole Townsend I was always treated with respect and courtesy. I cannot speak highly enough of the girls that helped me through often difficult periods and details that I am not conversant with. I cannot praise them all highly enough. I would not hesitate to recommend dealing with Poole Townsend. My gratitude to you all Ladies.
