Recently moved after being in quite a long and often complex chain. Debbie, Terri and Beth have been amazing and worked extremely hard to keep it all together. My hubby wanted to pull out a couple of times (due to issues and delays along the 5 person chain) but I convinced him to carry on as I was impressed with the sales team’s service and efforts to keep it moving along. I’m so glad I was right and that the sales team were so brilliant! It was clear at times to see that they had to deal with a lot of pressure and stress with our buyer, vendor and their solicitors (and probably even us!) - even right at the end on completion date (thank you so much for that Debbie, it was getting a little fraught so appreciated your work with the solicitors that day!). I’d like to say that Steve who did the valuation and subsequent brochure was also really nice and clearly knew the market well. We were really impressed with the brochure and the pictures he took. Compared with other EA photos we’d seen we think these really stood out. I’d definitely come back to Whitegates if I was moving again.

GoogleAs first time sellers we were naturally apprehensive about the house moving process, we needn't have been with Whitegates Barnsley. We had four agencies value our home and Darren was by and far the most clear and professional of the lot. We felt his advice and approach was honest and fair and the package that Whitegates offered was the best value for money of the agencies we met - and by a significant amount.
Nothing was too much trouble when it came to marketing the property - new external photographs were taken on a sunnier day, without us prompting, and the brochure really helped present the property in its best light. Anyone we spoke to in the office was really helpful and friendly when arranging viewings and when the offers came forward we felt well equipped to proceed. In fact, you sold our home at the asking price within three weeks of going to market - completely exceeding our expectations.
It's been a real pleasure dealing with you - it's felt a breeze, the most stressful aspect of this process has been hoovering the house before any viewing! I think that's a good enough sign that you have chosen the right estate agency.
Should we be buying or selling in the Barnsley area again, we would have absolutely zero hesitation in dealing with Whitegates again.

They always return calls promptly and remember your circumstances and chase solicitors when things appear to be going slowly. They’re in your corner. Similarly both my buyers had said how good they’ve been with them too. Finally what can I say about Will - apart from he’s fantastic. He’s so professional, knowledgeable and above all one of the good guys. He tells you as it is and gives great advice. When Steve valued the house he was honest and took the time to explain his decision to me. He didn’t try and inflate the price just to get my business.
